Love goes On

"Hey JUNE!Where the heck r u?" June read Emily's text. " I'm on my way home, ur home btw. u took to long!" June texted back. "Who texted you?" Liam curiously asked. "Oh, it was just Emily wondering where I was." June replied. "Aah," there was an awkward silence until the taxi man talked. "hey, guys...you still haven't made up your mind! Who's it gonna be... this girl or the one we just dropped off! Gee, and you wonder why there's miss-communication." " Well, maybe June we can make this work, you know, just between me and you." "Wait, so you're asking me to go out with you...but not break up with Sofia?" June looked at Liam with disgust. "Yeah...no? I don't know!"
Liam put his head in his hands in frustration. His cellphone rang the caller ID said "Sofia" he declined the call. "Why didn't you pick up her call?" "She is leaving tomorrow for Wolverhampton." Liam replied. "Liam, I've been thinking about what you said, it would be a fine proposition if I was a stupid girl. And yeah, I might go with it if I hadn't just been like her. There's one thing I've learned: I'm no ones exception, this I've previously learned." June replied as she got all her things together. The cab had stopped, they had reached their destination. She opened the door and just before she stepped outside Liam grabbed her by the arm. "Wait, I'm not like the rest...you know like whoever was the guy who hurt you." Liam said the last part sadly, like it hurt him to think of June being hurt by a guy. "Liam, how stupid do you think I am? I see you turn off your phone on a girl you call your girlfriend. I can see it now, that girl is gonna be me soon if I accept, surely after a while you'll go after the next new girl. " June got out of the cab feeling like she was close to tears. Liam stepped out of the car. June hurriedly walked into the driveway. He quickly paid the cab driver and left after June. Just before June got to the door Liam stopped her. June's eyes were full of tears, her nose was pink and her lips deep red. "June, wait." Liam said softly.

"Liam, please just call a cab, lose my number or something! Please, just let me be." June's voice cracked as she spoke softly. The first tear ran down her cheek, and sparkled with the moon shine. " Okay, I'll go," He wiped the tear off her cheek. ", But I can't promise loosing your number." He sweetly smiled at her. Just as he turned around June thought she would never see him again, so she had an impulse to hug him. They stood there hugging for probably what felt to June and Liam like 10 hours but realistically would probably be 2 long minutes.

What Liam and June didn't see was that a black van was parked in the street. The van had been following them since they left the night club. Paparazzi. 3 guys were in the van who realized this was their chance to get good publicity and started to quietly get out of the van and started taking pictures of the whole thing. Liam chasing after June; June crying and Liam comforting her; and last but not least the hug. They're were already planning what to do with all the money they would get from the pictures.

"You, should probably go..." June chuckled nervously. "it's midnight, do you happen to know where I can find a cab?" Liam asked still holding June in his arms. "Mmm...good question. I don't typically use public transportation,soooo....Don't know!" June shrugged. They both chuckled. Liam wasn't sure before if June liked him but he was sure now that he could feel her heart beating fast. She was nervous around him, he liked that.
"June?" The door behind them opened. Emily's mom was in her pajamas with rollers in her hair. She was half asleep, "Oh, my! I'm sorry am I interrupting something?" Emily's mom rubbed her eyes and yawned. "Wait, a sec...you have a boyfriend, June?" Emily's mom was starting to focus. "When did that happen?!" She sounded excited about her assumption. "Actually, ma'am.." Liam started to say. "Is that a British accent I'm detecting?!" "Well, yes..but -" "What part of England are you from?" "Wolverhampton" "Really! Small world you see my sister was over there for a business trip, well the point is she said it was a lovely town." She smiled after catching her breath. "Is this your" "No! no, she is definitely not my mom, she is Emily's mom!" June answered as she read Liam's thoughts. "Well, I should not take any more of your time, see ya some other time June." Liam set off not knowing were to go but couldn't stop smiling. "That guy looks a bit too old for you don't you think June?" "Nah! He is just right!" June chuckled, the door slammed. Liam heard this in the distance and smiled.

Niall and Emily arrived at her house around 1:26 am. Emboldened by the night, he decides to try for that important first kiss. With an air of confidence, he leans with his hand against the wall and, smiling, he says to her, "Darling, how 'bout a goodnight kiss?" Horrified, Emily replies, "Are you mad? My parents will see us!" "Oh come on! Who's gonna see us at this hour?" "No, please. Can you imagine if we get caught?" "Oh come on, there's nobody around, they're all sleeping!" "No way. It's just too risky!" "Oh please, please, I like you so much!!" "No, no, and no. I like you too, but I just can't!" "Oh yes you can. Please?" "NO, no. I just can't." "Pleeeeease?..."
Out of the blue, the porch light goes on, and June shows up in her pajamas, hair disheveled. In a sleepy voice June says: "Your dad says to go ahead and give him a kiss. Or I can do it. Or if need be, he'll come down himself and do it. But for crying out loud tell him to take his hand off the intercom button!" Niall turned red as a cherry of embarrassment and looked at where he placed his hand, surely June was right he had his hand on the intercom button. He immediately took it off and awkwardly said good night to Emily. June went back to bed and Emily got in bed too. "ahh, boys!" Emily said happily. "Go to sleep!" June said.
