Back For You

"Finally" I said as threw myself on my big white couch. "Zo, you don't know how good it feels to be back in my own home" I said as I held the phone between my shoulder and ear. I was December 1st, and I finally was all settled back into my apartment. "Zo, I'm so excited to see you, only 3 more day's till you're home" I said as I stuffed a few of my favourite chips into my mouth.

"I know, my flight is in exactly 10 hours, so I'll have to go now, I have to finish packing" She said, I could almost hear her struggling through the phone "I'll talk to you when I'm leaving and as soon as I land, Love you Ry"

"Love you too, Zoe. See you soon" I said before hanging up, hearing a knock at my door. I was wearing my shorts and one of my old sweaters, as I pulled myself of the couch and made my way to the door. "Holy Shit" I said as I looked through the peep hole, "ZO?!" I said as I pulled the door open.

"You know, I was wondering when you were going to clue in" She said as I strangled her in a hug.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!" I screamed as I hugged her tighter

"I wanted to surprise you" She hugged back "Your dad knew, so did my parents. They said that you and Harry were heading home in a couple of weeks for Christmas and I thought it would be nice to spend a few days with you" She said as she pulled away. Her hair had grown a lot longer, and she had a nice tan from sun in Australia. "I missed you so much Ry, even thought it's only been about 4 months since you left" She said as she pulled her suitcase in the room.

"Wow, Ry this place looks so good." She said as she walked in and collapsed on the couch.

"I am so surprised that you're In my living room" I said as I smiled and jumped on her "I'm so happy you're back" I said still hugging my best friend; my sister.

"Me too, now get off me" She said laughing, as I sat across from her on the couch, "How's he?" She said as she gave me a sympathetic look.

"He's happy," I said as I picked my nail polish off my nails. I really needed to stop this habit.

"Someone's at the door" She said as I got up and opened the door revealing a messy haired Harry.

"Harry, leave" I said as I glared at him.

"I came to check up on you," He said as he looked over my shoulder "ZOE" he said as he pushed past me and walked towards Zoe engulfing her in a huge hug.

"Hey, Haz. How are you" She said standing up to hug him "Missed you"

'I'm good, how are you?" He said as I closed the door.

"Good, I'm happy to be back. But I'll be even happier when I'm back in Holmes Chapel" She said as she yawned, "Holy Shit Haz, congrats" She said hugging him again as he laughed

"Thanks"

"So when do I get to meet her?" She said looking over Harry's shoulder

"She's in LA for a couple weeks, she'll be back before Christmas. So you'll see her at the christmas party" He said as he turned to look at me.

"So you came here cause you're bored?" I said smiling at Harry

"No, actually Ry, I was hoping my best friend would like to watch a movie with me" Harry said throwing himself on the couch.

"Sorry, but you have to leave. Me and Zo are having a major catch up session" I said pulling Harry's arm, trying my best to get him off the couch, he was to large compared to me.

"Ry, no we have time for that. Plus I won't be much fun considering I'm about to pass out" Zoe said as she checked her watch "I'm gonna shower and then see how long I'll be able to stay up for" She said as she made her way down the hall.

"Well, I guess it's just us then Styles" I said as I sat on the floor, resting my back on the couch Harry was lying on. "What movie" I said looking back at Harry. He was smiling softly at me.

"Sound Of Music" He knew It was my favourite movie. "It's almost Christmas Ry, it's tradition" He said as he got up and made his way to my DVD collection in the corner next to the TV. I smiled as I watched him search through the countless DVDs till he turned around with it in his hands.

"I'll call for pizza," I said as I ran into the kitchen and ordered a large half cheese and half pepperoni pizza. "HARRY" I squealed, when I felt his strong arms wrap around me and lift me off the floor and towards the living room. "Haz, let go" I said laughing as I felt a blush creep onto my face. He dropped me gently on the couch, well as gentile as he could, and collapsed down next to me. We were sitting close, our arms and legs touching, as we settled in for the movie.

"What" Harry said smirking at me.

"Are you going to turn the light off?" I said getting more comfortable pulling the blanket that was draped over the arm of the couch around me.

"I want to, but I don't want to get up" He said pulling the blanket towards him, "Rock, Paper, Scissors for it" He said pausing the movie and getting his hand ready.

"No, Harry. You go, you're the dude" I said, watching him grin up at me. He knew how much I hated to lose, almost as much as he hated to lose. "Fine" I said knowing I sucked at this game, Harry for some reason could always read me, he always knew what I was going to do before I even did it. This game was no exception.

"Ready, on three" He said looking at me "One"

"Two" I said laughing

"Three", I threw out rock, he threw out paper. "I hate you" I said pushing the blanket off me

"I know you too well, Hunter" Harry said putting his feet up on my coffee table.

I got up, deciding that maybe getting a can of coke would be beneficial for me. After grabbing two cokes, I walked out of the kitchen to see Harry staring at me intently, as he ran a hand through his hair. His eyes glossy.

"What's up dork?" I said giving him a weird look as I took my place next to him

"You don't hate me Ry" He said pulling me into his side and planting a kiss on my fore head.

"Yeah, yeah. We'll see" I said as he pressed play.

"Pizza's here" Harry said as he heard a faint knock on the door

"You go," I said as I reached for the money from the table to the side of me. "Here" I said passing harry a 20 pound note.

"I got it," He said pulling out his wallet and answering the door, as I put the movie on pause.

"Pizza?" Zoe said as she walked in the room and sat beside me, where Harry was sitting.

"Yeah," I said looking over at her, "Wanna watch?" I asked, as she rubbed her eyes.

"I'm gonna eat a slice then head to bed," She said smiling at me "Let me know when Harry leaves, so you can have your bed and I can move on the couch" She said standing up as Harry walked in with the pizza boxes.

"Are you kidding?" I asked her "Sleep In my bed, once he leaves, we can share the bed" I said remembering that Zoe was the worst person to share a bed with, she's so fidgety.

"Fine, night Haz" She said opening her arms as he pulled her in for a hug "oh Ry, I need your phone charger. My outlet doesn't work here, it's only an Australian one"

"Night, Zo" Harry said shoving a pizza slice in his mouth.

"Don't start the movie without me" I warned Harry as I made my way to my bed room, grabbing a pizza slice along the way.

"Can't you just chill" Zoe said ash she sat on the edge of my bed.

"What?" I asked looking at her. "What do you mean?"

"Harry. Just let things happen Ry, you spent forever putting up this wall to shut him out, and now he's going to be gone in less than a year. You're going to lose him" Zoe said whispering "I don't care about Laura, well I mean I care but you know….I believe in this. I've believed in this since I was 6 years old and he would always pick you over anyone to be on his soccer team." Zoe smiled at the memory "If things are meant to work out, then they will. But you have to let them"
"Here's the charger" I said, at a loss for words.

"Let it happen" Zoe said as she pulled the covers up around her.

I walked out of my room after shutting off the light. I turned the corner into the living room watching Harry. Not in a creepy way, but in the way I always watched Harry; in admiration. The way he spoke, the way his dimples would appear whenever he would get really excited over something. The way he spoke with his hands, and the way he would smile at strangers. Now, I watched him, my best friend as he lay across my couch on his phone. I thought about how soon, this would all be over. Soon I wouldn't be able to watch him lay across my couch, watch how he shoved half a pizza into his mouth, and the way -even if he never admitted it, he knew every line to Sound Of Music, he would mouth them every now and then when I would sneak a glance at him. Soon this would all be over, soon we would both be forced to grow up; to grow apart. I walked in the room watching his eyes light up as he moved over making room for me.

"You okay Ry?" He asked, pressing play.

"Yeah," I smiled softly at him "I'm fine"

"Ry, Ry move over" I heard Harry whisper, as he gently push a few pieces of hair from my eyes.

"Harry?" I asked rubbing my eyes "What time Is it?" I asked looking around my now dark living room, the only light coming from the kitchen.

"3:20" Harry said standing over me

"Shit, when did I fall asleep?" I asked sitting up to quickly, resulting in blood rushing to my head

"As soon as we started watching Rush Hour" Harry chuckled, pushing the hair out of his eyes.

"Shit, sorry" I smiled up at him, as Harry pulled me to my feet, before he collapsed on the couch puling me down so I was lying next to him.

"Sleep Ry" He whispered as he pulled me close to his chest. His arms wrapping around my waist, mine resting on his chest, and playing with the cross necklace that he had around his neck.

"Harry," I began, but when I heard his steady breath, and looked up to see his eyes closed, I knew he was asleep. "Goodnight, H"

Notes

I AM SO SORRY, school started back up for the Winter Term and I AM SO BUSY !! I try and write every time I get the chance, but I literally leave early in the morning and get home so late, so updating regularly is a problem. So from now on my promise to you is a new chapter every week, probably a weekend. Maybe If i have spare time I'll be able to write 2 a week.
