Blindsided
Chapter 3
(Paris)
I was sitting down on my bad, my legs crossed and my palm holding up my chin. My knee was bobbing, up and down, up and down. It was a habit of mine that occurred when I was bored. And Why wouldn't I be bored?
What exactly is a blind girl supposed to do with herself? I had no social media, no way of contacting old friends, unless of course Sara decided to help me, and i couldn't even watch TV. I let out a loud groan and fall backwards on the mattress. I was lucky this time. Last time I banged my head on the wall by mistake, it wasn't exactly my idea of fun.
"I'm so bored I could die." I moan into the air, throwing my arms up in a dramatic expression. Just then my doorbell started to ring like crazy. "Sara!" I whine, "Get the fucking door." After a few minutes of silence it dawns on me that she's still at work. I had forgotten she was working late tonight.
I let out an exaggerated groan and slide off the bed, reaching for my white cane. I grab it, and fumble to open for a minute before I hear the tell-tale snap of it. I make my way down the stairs and to the door with no issues. The bell was still going off.
"Hold your horses." I mumble, unlocking the door and swinging it open.
"Yeah?" I ask, my arms crossing automatically.
"Finally," I hear a male voice say, I can feel him brush past me and walk into the house.
"Uh... can I help you?" I ask, getting a tighter grip on the cane in case something was going to happen.
He hesitates a moment, "I need a place to hide out for tonight."
"But how is this... my problem?" I ask, turning towards the sound of his voice. I can just vaguely make out his figure. "It's not, but I'm staying." I can almost here him shrug.
"No, you're not."
"I kind of am." I hear footsteps, he's walking closer to me. I can feel his hand lightly tug a strand of my curly hair. "After all, you wouldn't kick out a nice lad like me, would you?"
Well, at least I wasn't bored anymore.
Notes
Hey! I've been gone forever, I'm sosorry. School and stuff has been terrible, but I've updated. YAY! Hopefully I will again soon, and I know it's short and I'm sorry but I am not abandoning this story!
Please update? I have read many stories on this site...trust me...but this one is very unique. I have never read a story like this. Pure brilliant writing. Keep it up! xoxo -Char
