The Story of My Life

Accidents Happen

"Louis?" I ask.

"NIALL!!! NIALL!!! CAN YOU HEAR ME?!?!" I wince and distance the phone from my sensitive ears. Louis is panicking; I can envision him waving his arms around and shouting into his phone.

"I can hear you," I say.

"GOOD BECAUSE I NEED YOU TO CALL 911 AND GO OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!!!" I glance at Selena who is standing near the doorway, motioning for me to come follow her. I follow her and manage to stay on the phone with Louis, who has not yet hung up.

"I'M ON THE PHONE WITH NIALL!!!" I hear him shout. A deep, husky voice replies, probably Harry.

"NO WE NEED TO GET HIM TO A HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW OR HE'S GONNA DIE!!! SOMEBODY CALL 911!!!"

"Tell him I'm dialing 911," Selena says as we reach the front lobby and exit the building. Chaos is everywhere! Everyone is crowding over something, and I hear Louis shouting.

"NIALL CAN YOU HEAR ME!!!" I suddenly realize that he has hung up and is actually shouting at me through the crowd.

"I'm over here!" I try to shout, but the noise of the fans overpowers my voice.

"GUYS IF YOU SEE NIALL STEP ASIDE!!!" Louis commends. The people in front of me turn and step aside, following Louis' command. I run to Louis and find Harry and Zayn crouched next to a body.

"Oh Nando's..." I mumble. "Not Liam." Louis whirls around and I see that there are tears sparkling in his eyes.

"DID YOU CALL 911?!" He shouts.

"Selena called 911."

"Oh God, THANK YOU!!!" The ambulance pulled up onto the side of the street, sirens wailing. A man got out of the ambulance and went to the back of the truck. Him and another man pulled a stretcher out of it, and put Liam on it.

Just as they were about to leave with Liam, I ran over to the truck. "Wait! You are not leaving without me! Liam needs me!"

"Sorry sir, but your argument is invalid. Your friend needs to get to the hospital as soon as possible." And with that, the man got into the ambulance and drove away, taking my best friend with them.
