Behind The Backstage Doors

Sunflowers

She hadn't known what else to do when she had woken up at six in the morning so she had decided to go for a run. Everyone else had been sleeping when she had put her running shoes on and exited the tour bus quietly.

Alison loved running because it was the only thing that cleared her head these days. She could just focus on breathing and keeping her feet moving and she could forget everything else for a while. Denmark was a really beautiful place and she had found a perfect park for running close to the arena.

Her mind was telling her to go faster but her legs were burning so she had to stop for a moment. She took a few deep breaths before drinking a bit of water and fixing her pony tail. She was just continuing to run when she felt someone's arms on her hips.

"Sweaty and nice," she heard Harry's raspy voice whispering to her ear. She quickly turned around narrowing her eyes and getting ready to snap at him but then she saw him.

He was wearing trainers and shorts and his hair was pushed up with a hairband. But what made her breath hitch in her throat was the fact that he wasn't wearing any shirt and his body was covered in sweat. He had been running too obviously.

"My face is higher," he said lifting her chin by his hand. She was quickly snapped of her thoughts when she saw the smirk he was wearing on his face. She rolled her eyes and turned around on her heels and started to run again.

"Hey hey heyy I wasn't finished yet," he said taking her hand and making her face him again.
"Someone could see us," she said blankly.

He looked around and saw a few people by the little lake otherwise it was quiet. But he still took her hand and dragged her behind a few trees.

"What are you doing? Get off," she said, pulling her hand away from his grip.

"See. There's no one now. So relax," he showed with his hand. She gave him a glare and then sat down leaning her head against the tree. She took her shoes off because her feet were still burning and sighed out heavily.

It was quite warm as it was the first days of May but still it was a little chilly. She glanced at Harry who was concentrating to stretch his legs.

"Put your shirt on," she demanded and he quickly turned his head to her.

"Am I disturbing you?" he asked while trying to cover his smirk. God why he had to always annoy her, she thought.

"No. You get cold if you don't put your shirt on after running," she said and looked away from him. He chuckled but did as he was told.

He came to sit next to her and for a while they didn't speak. She played with a little sunflower she found from the ground. Picking the leaves and then throwing the pieces on the grass. He watched her doings and tried to find a reason why they were here now and not just somewhere else.

"Don't you ever just think why? Why us?" he asked suddenly. She quickly turned her head towards him but he was looking at his hands deep in thought.

"Harry," she sighed out. She really didn't want to talk about it. About what had happened.

"But think about how different our life would be now. A baby," his voice was just a whisper. She didn't know why he was bringing the topic out now.

"There's no reason why. It's just happened and it's in the past," she said coldly even though she had been thinking about the question quite a lot indeed.

"But-"

"There's nothing to talk about, Harry. I don't want to talk about it," she cut him off. They fell in silence again and she continued picking the grass next to her. She hated that he had brought it up because now the tension between them was a little awkward.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you," he said suddenly. She was taken aback by his words and all she could do was just to stare at him.

"Can we just forget about it and move on? You're right it's in the past and things are so different now," he said. She tried to search his eyes but he didn't want to look at her. She couldn't believe this. Was he really apologizing?

"Erm... yeah. Yeah. Like a fresh start," she said frowning. His face lighted up as he gave her a smile.

"Good. That's good. We're good right?" he hesitated to ask but when he saw her nodding and giving him a little smile he quickly jumped up.

"Let's go back. It's getting cold," he said still smiling. He offered her his hand to help her stand and she took it gratefully. She didn't know what had changed his mood so quickly but she was going to take all the joy out of it. So she smiled at him and made small talk all the way back to the bus where the others were still sleeping. Maybe the tour wasn't going to be that bad.
