Behind The Backstage Doors

I still remember how we used to be

"Alisooon!" she thought the yelling was part of her dream but then she felt someone climbing in the bunk and jumping on top of her.

"We're leaving soon! Wake up you sleepy ass," she opened her eyes and was met with Louis' excited expression. How he could be so energetic after drinking that much last night?

"Okay, okay! I'm awake! You can stop now," she told him and he got off the small bunk. She was annoyed with him but part of her was still happy that he acted just like he used to a few years ago. They had been like brother and sister from the very first day they had met. Louis was just really easy to be with.

"Good girl," he said before he left her to get ready. She tried to find her phone from the bed to check the time and finally she found it under her pillow. It was half past seven and the bus was leaving at eight so she quickly jumped of the bunk to get dressed.

"I thought you might be hungry so I brought you a sandwich," Louis said when he saw Alison approaching the coach in the back of the bus. The boys were sitting there except Zayn who was apparently coming straight to the arena later.

Harry sat on the coach leaning his head against the back and keeping his eyes closed. He felt absolutely terrible and in his mind he kept cursing the tequila he had drunk last night. But when he heard her voice he forced to peek his other eye open and saw her sitting across from the table. She glanced at him and the strange expression on her face made him hope he hadn't said anything stupid last night. He couldn't really remember anything. Just that she had helped him to stand and then just blank.

He closed his eyes when another wave of nausea flashed through his body. Alison glanced at him worriedly but then turned her attention to Louis and Liam who were talking about some fun memory of the last time they were in France. She wasn't really hungry but Louis' gesture was so nice she hadn't rejected it and she kept eating the sandwich slowly.

Harry's loud groan stopped the boys' laughing and everyone turned their heads to him. Even Niall moved his eyes of the phone he had been typing the whole time. "You okay mate?" he asked and Harry shifted uncomfortably on the coach. "I'd be if you stopped yelling. And Alison go somewhere else with that sandwich I can't stand the smell," he murmured. She was so surprised that he actually said her name that all she could do was to stare at him.

"Aww someone's a bit hangover," Louis said then ignoring Harry completely and continuing the conversation with Liam.

"Do you want me to..." Alison started but couldn't finish the sentence when Harry run in the bathroom. On the corner she saw Niall rolling his eyes and getting up unwillingly to follow Harry there.

-----

After a few hours the buses were parked ouside the arena in Paris. Louis and Liam were planning of going to explore the city because they got a few hours to kill before they had to get ready for the concert.

"We need a photographer!" Louis yelled suddenly as they were outside the arena. The cab already waiting for them.

"C'mon Alison! It's like the perfect weather to spend outside with two idiots," Liam winked making Alison laugh. He was right though. The sun was shining and it was really warm even though it was still April.

"Okay then! I'll get my camera just a sec," she yelled running towards the bus.

"Thank you," Harry's bitter voice made the three heads turn towards him. Alison raised her brow confused but before she manage to say anything he opened his mouth.

"For asking me to come with you. I really appreciate it," he continued while glaring at Louis and Liam.

"Sorry bunny, I really thought you wanted to spend the day sleeping," Louis spoke.

"What made you come up with that conclusion?" he said with annoyed tone.

"Well, would you like to come with us then Harry?" Liam asked and Alison thought it was better to go get that camera. She didn't want to see the boys arguing.

"I don't know if I want to after you totally ignored me the whole bus drive," Harry kept going.

"Okay, I guess it's a no then. Let's go Liam," Louis said taking his wrist to lead him towards the car. He didn't want Harry to ruin his good mood so he did his best to ignore his death glare. Alison came back with her bag and hopped in the car with the two boys.

Just when Liam was pulling the SUV's door closed Harry stopped him by putting his hand on the grip. Without a word he got in the back seat next to Alison making Louis roll his eyes.

After driving around the city they decided to stop by the Eiffel tower. Harry had been complaining about how slow the driver was driving the whole ride and Alison was relieved when they finally got outside.

"I don't want you to take any pictures of me today," Harry informed her when she was kneeling on the ground putting her camera ready.

"Why? You're being such a sunshine today I think it'd be a loss if I didn't capture your pretty frown in a photo," she said sarcastically and Harry glared at her before lazily making his way towards Liam and Louis who were admiring the view. Alison shook her head but couldn't help but sneak a shot as they all were standing there. She checked the photo on the screen and smiled. Perfect.

Alison stood up and walked next to Louis. She sighed mesmerized as she looked at the Eiffel tower. "It's pretty and so are you," Louis said and she turned to roll her eyes at him. "What? I said a compliment," he grinned. "You!" she said pointing at his chest which made him laugh. Liam wanted to have photos and they stood so the tower was behind them. Except Harry who stayed behind Alison and watched as she shoot.

"Seriously Harry, go with them," she told him but he didn't move. "I already have a photo with the tower anyway," he said smugly. Alison did her best not to say anything back so she bit her lip and concentrated on getting good photos.

"Your turn babe," Liam said and took the camera from Alison. She gave a quick lesson how to take a photo and then she went to pose on the grass. Louis wanted to be with her in the photo so he went next to her and placed an arm around her. Harry made vomit voices while they smiled at the camera but Louis just showed his tongue at him.

When the photos were taken they decided to walk and find some restaurant. Their body guard who was also their driver for the day made a few phone calls to find a peaceful place to eat.

"I remember you always wanted to visit Paris and we're here now. You happy?" Alison heard Harry muttering between his teeth to her ear. She turned around to face him and they stopped for a moment as the others kept walking down the street.

"What is wrong with you today?" she asked narrowing her eyes. She was so close to him that his breathing was brushing her face.

"You," he simply replied like it was the obvious answer and then continued walking past her. Alison felt furious but she closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths before following him.

Fans kept stopping them here and there so the way in the restaurant took a little longer. Alison tried to stay out of the way and luckily the fans didn't pay much attention to her. Eventually they managed to get in the restaurant and the boys went in from the back door so no one could see them. It wouldn't take long when the front door of the restaurant would be packed if the fans found out they were there.

They took a table in the back corner and ordered their food right away Alison deciding to take just a chicken salad. She thought she needed to start watching what she ate so she wouldn't become a whale.

Basically Liam and Louis were the only one's talking while Alison tried to listen to them and played with her hair. Harry picked his phone from his pocket and started to type something. She glanced at him sometimes and he was always smiling at his phone which somehow irritated her.

Finally the waiter came with their food. Alison felt quite hungry so she lunged into her food right away. "Wow, someone's hungry," Louis said and she poked his side making him laugh. He always teased her and she tried to act angry but honestly she loved it.

She noticed Harry had his phone on the table still. The screen sometimes flashing and he checking the message and smiling like an idiot. She glared at him and he caught her eyes. He frowned but didn't make a move to put the phone back to his pocket.

"You know it's rude to text with someone while having a dinner with friends," she leaned closer to him and whispered. He sighed overdramatically not bothering to move his eyes off the phone.

"It's not like I'm eating with the royals," his comment made her wanting to choke him but she closed her eyes for a moment to calm herself down. She decided it was better to just drop it and she ignored him turning her interest back to the boys' conversation. If he wanted to be a miserable twat it was better to leave him alone.

An hour went quickly by and it was almost time for them to leave. They were going to head straight to the arena and the driver was already waiting for them in the pavement.

"I'll just use the lady's quickly," Alison said and got up.

She found the loo on the back of the restaurant but stayed outside it picking her phone. She had one message from Brianna and she wasn't sure if she needed to call her so she had wanted to go somewhere private. After reading the text, which was something usual about how Brianna hated that Daniel needed to be so much away from home because of his job and blah blah blah, she decided just to text her back.

To Brianna:
I hate him i hate him i hate him i hate him

From Brianna:
I know! He is being such an asshole this week. We hadn't even had sex.

To Brianna:
No. I meant Harry.

From Brianna:
Oh. Tell him to fuck off. Are you alright?

To Brianna:
Yeah yeah I'm fiiine :) I just need to ignore him for now.

Just when she had typed the text and was about to go back with the others she saw Harry approaching the loos. "Be quickly then we need to get in the arena," she said trying to walk past him but he grabbed her wrist.

"I can be quickly... with a lot of things... if you want," he said grinning smugly. She wasn't sure what had changed his mood but she yanked her arm from his grip and glared at him still.

"What's with you today?" she asked 'cause she didn't know what else to say. She took a step away from him but her back met the wall.

"You tell me," he said taking a step forward. "Did I... say something last night?" his grin changed into a frown like if he was scared of what she might tell him. For a moment she thought about messing with him and making up some stupid story but then she just shook her head.

"No, you didn't," she said looking at her shoes. There was noway she was going to tell him what he had said and how the tone of his voice had actually affected her. You can't be Alison. She left me alone ages ago. "You were being just a pain in the arse," she continued instead making him chuckle at her answer.

"Mmhh but someone was still nice enough to undress my jacket and shoes," he winked and for a brief moment she felt like everything was like it was before. She smiled at him and he smiled back at her but then as quickly as the feeling became it fell away and she turned her head back to her feet.

He stepped even closer to her and placed his hand to lean against the wall. His nose brushing her cheek as he leaned to whisper her ear. "I still remember how we used to be," his smooth voice made shivers run down her spine and she closed her eyes because of the feeling having him so close to her. She felt weak under his intense gaze and all she could do was to stay still. His lips touched her ear before he leaned his head back. She kept her eyes closed and didn't open them before she heard Harry walking away. Taking a few deep breaths and then making her way back to the restaurant unwillingly.

The boys were waiting her on the front door and she tried to smile when she approached them. "Are you alright, babe? You look a bit pale," Liam asked looking genuinely worried.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Let's go then," she assured smiling and avoided Harry's gaze as they walked out of the building.
