Behind The Backstage Doors

Darling how could you be so blind?

Alison was watching as people were running around the arena, getting the stage ready for the boys. She didn't really feel like photographing the boys today. She was eating a chocolate bar and wondering what she was even doing there.

"Oi! Alison. You look like you don't have anything to do so if you could come and help me with the stuff? You have chocolate?!" before she knew it the bar was snatched out of her hands and Lou was taking a huge bite of it.

"Is this finnish? It's really good," she said, reading the packet and then handing it back to her. Alison smiled lightly and nodded before standing up and following Lou to where her stuff were. They carried a few boxes to a small room where the boys were about to get ready. When Alison had done her bit she sat on a couch and went back to eating her chocolate.

Everyone knew the boys had come when people started to scream outside. The small room was quickly filled with laugher, on top of all was Niall's, and Lou started to fix the boys' hair right away. Louis came to ruffle Alison's hair as a greeting and she shot him a dirty look. And it didn't take long that her last bits of chocolate were also gone.

Harry shambled in the room after everyone had settled on the couches. Lou greeted him but instead of answering, he ignored her and sent Alison an angry look. Alison raised her eyebrows at him but he had already turned his attention to Niall who was sitting on the couch, telling him it'd be better if he moved his ass quickly unless he wanted to be punched in the face.

"Someone's in the mood for a change," Lou muttered to Alison while fixing Louis' hair.

"Tell me about it," Alison said while looking at her phone. She was surprised when someone suddenly jumped next to her and kissed her cheek as a hello. "Hi everyone!" Josh greeted before asking Alison how she was.

"Nothing's changed since the last time I saw you which was an hour ago," she laughed at his enthusiasm.

"You could give some of that energy to Harry. I think he would need it," Lou said while motioning her hand towards Harry who was sitting in the corner and staring at his phone with a scowl. Alison sighed out loudly and Louis gave her a knowing look to which Alison rolled her eyes.

For a while Alison listened to Josh and Lou's conversation. Louis was actually quiet for once and just waited for Lou to get ready with his hair. He looked like he was thinking about something deeply with his brows furrowed. She fiddled with the hem of her shirt and tried to avoid Harry's gaze that she could feel was burning her. She knew he was a bit angry about their little fight yesterday but she didn't know why he was acting so upset today. She really didn't know what she had done this time. She hadn't even seen him today?

"Heyyy where're you going?" Josh puckered his brows when Alison stood up shortly.

"Need to use the loo," she lied. Alison made her way out of the room quickly. She just couldn't bear to feel the looks Harry was giving her anymore. She opened a door that let in the big hall and she sat on one of the seats in the back. She tried to think anything else but the situation between her and Harry and also what Josh had done earlier that day. Alison watched as the men were working on with the final preparations on the stage.

"What's up, sis?" she heard Louis' voice but didn't turn her head.

"The stage's up," she said bluntly.

"Haha really funny. I just thought you seem a bit off today. And so does Harry," he said while sitting next to Alison.

"And what do you think that means, Sherlock?" she asked, finally turning her gaze to lock eyes with him. But his blue eyes bored into hers and she had to look away. It always seemed like he was reading her so easily. He just always knew what was up with her.

"I think," he paused for a moment. "That you two have been fighting, am I right?"

Alison let out a strained laugh. "You are absolutely wrong," she said but the way she was trying to avoid his eyes gave her away.

"Believe what you want but Tommo is always right," he stated. "And I came here just to tell you that you can talk to me if you need to," he said more gently.

"I have nothing on my heart to share with you," she said still avoiding his stare.

"Okay. But they are letting people in soon so I think I need to get back and so do you," he said before standing up and disappearing out of the sight.

Alison sat there so long that people started to flow in and a girl asked Alison what she was doing on her seat shook her out of her thoughts. She walked back in the backstage and slumped on the floor in one of the empty hallways. She leaned her head against the wall and tried to get the courage to go get her camera and start shooting.

"So, where's the lover boy?" a voice startled her but after recognizing the boots in front of her she managed to make her expression look bored. She raised her head upwards to meet the eyes of the tall man standing in front of her.

"I have no idea what you're talking about," she said and she was being honest. She didn't think Harry had any right to act jealous or angry after all.

"I at least knew what you were talking about when you asked me about Katy," he shook his head like if he was disappointed and Alison was even more confused.

"I don't have to explain anything to you," she said firmly.

"Yeah but I'm only looking after a mate and trying to avoid getting his heart broken by you," Harry spitted the words out.

Alison's eyes widened lightly but she quickly took control of her emotions and stood up while thinking what to say next. He couldn't know about the kiss?

"You're wrong," she didn't know what to say and her attempt to stand her ground was kinda powerless. Harry laughed and shook his head.

"This is a new low even for you. You shouldn't be telling me about is it morally right to play with someone's feelings just to feel better about yourself when you're doing exatly the same thing with Josh," he said coldly. Alison stared at him in disbelief trying to find words.

"So you're finally admitting you played with Katy's feelings?" she asked, tilting her head to the side and crossing her arms over her chest which seemed to amuse Harry even more.

"Look, the thing is I fixed the things between me and Katy. Maybe not with the best way but she still knows where we both stand now and besides, I think she has found a new target. But you and Josh..." he explained slowly like talking to a kid but Alison cut him off.

"We're just friends. End of."

"Does he know that?" Harry asked while raising his eyebrow and crossing his arms too. He had used the same words as Alison has when she had asked him about Katy. She glared at him and she didn't know if she was angry about him interfering her business or because he might be right.

"I said we're just friends. And why would he think otherwise?" she regretted her words right after as she saw the smirk growing on Harry's face.

"Well, just an idea. You two sitting close to each other on a coach and acting like a married couple while fighting about which tv channel to watch or Josh blabbering about you all the time or the fact that you two were spending the whole day together experiencing Helsinki today. Maybe this could be your town? Like you could come here on a holiday with your future kids and show all the places you visited when you fell in love with each other?"

Alison thought she had never heard Harry speak so much in such a quick pace. She was speechless. But what struck a chord with her the most was his last phrase. With your future kids. He didn't know anything, she thought. He had been out of her life for more than two years and he didn't know what she had been through. If he knew he wouldn't have used those words.

She didn't realize she had been staring at his angry expression for a while now after his harsh words until she felt a tear falling from her eye. She quickly looked away and wiped it off, trying to get herself back together. But her mind was blank.

"You're just jealous," she heard herself muttering and Harry let out a dry laugh. She stared at his boots, afraid of meeting his gaze, before someone yelled Harry's name and he walked off. As soon as he was gone Alison couldn't hold the tears anymore and she sobbed loudly, covering her face with her hands.

She felt like the secret she was holding inside of her was suffocating her now. The secret she had been carrying inside of her for over two years, not even telling it to her best friend or mum, was too much for her to handle after Harry's words. So she sat down at the same spot she had been sitting just a moment ago and cried her eyes out, wondering what she was going to do next.
