The Lovers

Rachel's P.O.V.

You could literally cut the tension at breakfast with a knife.

I was sitting between Hannah and Niall.

Hannah was busy, chatting with Zayn and Niall was eating Sami's food so I was left eating alone.

I noticed Kay sat up quietly and walked off towards the bathroom.

My eyes flew to Liam who was eating in silence, looking annoyed.

What the hell was going on?!

I could feel someone staring at me.

Biting my lip, I looked up and met Louis' eyes.

I wasn't really sure what was going on with us.

We hadn't fully finished our conversation due to Danielle's reappearance.

Speaking of Danielle, she was going to be a back-up dancer for the boys again?

Seriously Modest!

That'll be sure to cause trouble..

I looked back down to my food.

Why did everything have to be so messed up?

We were only one day into tour and look what happened already..

"Hey, you okay?"

I looked up quickly to see Niall watching me, concerned.

"Yeah of course" I replied lowly.

Everyone else was too busy in their own conversations to pay any attention to us anyways but I still didn't wanna be over heard.

"How are things with you and Lou?" he whispered.

I shrugged.

"I don't really know.." I replied.

He frowned.

"You know I'm here if you need to talk Rach" he told me softly.

"I know" I nodded, giving him a small smile.

I could feel Louis gaze on us so I changed the subject.

"So what's going on with you and Sami?" I asked.

His cheeks flushed pink.

"I heard about your little kiss yesterday, don't try and tell me there's nothing going on now" I told him with a wink.

"Well, I don't really know to be honest with ya... I'm not sure if she likes me like that" he said softly.

I rolled my eyes.

"Please! She's obviously into you and your obviously into her so do something about it!" I half-yelled exasperated.

"Shhh!" Niall shushed me.

I giggled.

"Sorry, but c'mon Nialler, man up" I teased.

He wasn't given a chance to respond because Paul walked over to us.

"Niall, Simon wants to speak with you" he said stiffly.

Nialls eyes widened.

"He-he what?" Niall stuttered.

"He wants you in his office, right now" Paul explained.

Niall gulped.

"Emm, o-okay" he mumbled, giving me a panicked look.

"Relax Ni, you'll be fine" I told him as he stood up.

He still looked panicked as he walked off.

And so I was left alone again.

"Wonder what that's about" Hannah mumbled, looking confused.

I shrugged.

I was sitting on my bed reading 'The Hunger Games'.

It was one of my all time favourite books.

One of the first dates Louis took me on was to see Catching Fire.

I smiled at the memory.

Louis kept talking through the whole movie so I had to go and see it again with Hannah.

I had really enjoyed it though, he had made me laugh so much.

The door opened, pulling me out of my train of thought.

"Oh..hey" It was Louis.

"Hi" I nodded briefly and then averted my eyes back to the book.

Louis stared for a minute then sighed and stalked off to the bathroom.

I sighed too, snapping my book shut and throwing my head into my hands.

Why did it have to get complicated all of a sudden?

I was perfectly fine taking things slow with Louis and now I just felt like everything was messed up.

Louis opened the door of the bathroom making me jump.

I let my eyes meet his for a moment.

"Are you- erm-coming to the concert?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck.

I shook my head.

"Nah, I'm just gonna hang here" I replied.

He looked like he was about to say something else but then just shrugged.

"Right, whatever" he muttered and with that he left.

I felt tears brim in my eyes as he walked off.

Great, this is just great..
