'Hey ' Mary starts quietly, waiting for her friend's reaction.

'Barbara listen I -'

'Don't you ever do this to me again you stupid munchkin. ' Barbara says engulfing Mary in a bear hug.

'I'm so sorry.I was just..I don't know ' She cries into her shoulder

'At least you are here now ' Barbara whispers before leading Marilyn into her apartment.

' What did the others say?' Mary asks as she takes a seat in the kitchen

' They didn't even notice it they were too busy talking to some boys ' Barbara says laughing

' Ok so they are not made at me ' Mary answers relieved

'Mary I have a question. ' Barbara starts, Mary nodding her head for her to continue

'What actually made you change your mind ? ' She asks as she prepares a cup of tea for Mary.

'Niall did' She says smiling

' Niall?! ' Barbara asks surprised

'He drove me home after our fight and out of my drunkenness I stated saying some weird shit about myself and he became angry ' Mary explains

'What did he exactly say ? '

'This is not funny. It's not. It's sad. It is. Sad that a girl as beautiful and as intelligent as you talks so much bullshit. What the fuck Mary?! I know Hunter is dead.We all do know . But it is definitely not in his will for you to become so pathetic '

'That's what he said?!' Barbara asks her in disbelief

Before Marilyn could response her phone rings

' I thought you would never talk to me again'

'Why so?'

'Because I was anoying and unfair and because I cried and I said some nasty stuff,Niall '

'But that doesn't stop me from talking to you ' He answers honestly which mackes her smile

'Why are you calling?'

'I actually wanted to ask you if ... nevermind'

'No talk ! What did you want to ask me?'

'Don't laugh but.. because you were so sad yesterday I wanted to cheer you up and since I was the reason you cried I wanted to invite you to my house so that we could talk but as I said nevermind' He rushes and she can't stop grinning

'I'm coming' She says as she imagines his suprised expression

'Really? Wow ok, so this wasn't that akward, was it?' He asks a bit insecure

'No it wasn't.It was a cute idea and I can't wait to see you soon' She says frankly,tapping her foot on the floor

'Ok,see you then' He says before hanging up

'Soo you and Niall,eh?' Barbara smirks as she takes a sip of her peppermint tea

'There's no "me and Niall" ' Mary answers

' There's no "me and Niall " ' Barbara imitated her in a high peached voice

' You know that my voice is not that high 'Mary laughs

' Niall oh Niall how can I , Marilyn describe my love for thee. Just come to me and kiss me ' Barbra teases further

'You are ridiculous' Mary says,looking at her friend,waving her hands dramatically

'And you love me ' She says smiling

'Yes I do ' Mary answers before giving her friend a big kiss on her cheek

'And behave young lady ' Barbara says as the friends say their goodbyes

'I promise that I'll be a good girl mum' Mary answers before eventually going


On her way to Niall,she sings every song that's coming to her mind out loud,feeling alive for the first time since Hunter's death.Maybe life is really getting better for her.It's already 2 months since he's been gone.She's not in the mood to directly start a relationship,her heart couldn't deal with that,but she finally takes happiness back into her life


As she exits the car she again stands before the massive mansion.But this time she stands there because she wants to talk,relax and have fun.Not to get drunk,not to forget.But to remember.With a now good friend of hers.

She rings the bell for almost five minutes.But because it seems like noone is there,she opens the door and enters the villa.
