"Hello?" I called out softly as I looked around the large, dark street then shivered.
There were a few street lamps here and there, but otherwise it was eerie. It all seemed so familiar, yet so unfamiliar.
"Hello Louis." A voice then coo's, and my heart tightened instantly as Carson stepped out from behind one of the street lamps with a devious smirk. "C-Carson?" I choked out, feeling fear grip my body as I glanced around for somewhere to run, or for you.
At the sound of my tight, evidently scared voice Carson laughed maliciously. "There's no where to run Louis, we're all here. For you." He said with a dark voice that sent chills up my spine as Gemma and Harry's dad stepped out.
With in the blink of an eye the three of them were surrounding me in a circular formation. I was trapped.
"Awww look, he's scared." Gemma sneers and I felt Carson's hand grab my shoulder tightly, then another hand grab my chin roughly and my body was forcably twisted to face Harry's father.
"Think your so smart huh?" He growled, digging his rough fingertips into my jawline, and my panick exploaded in to terror. "Harry! Help me!" I screamed, not knowing who else to cry out for, and the three of them laughed in union.
"Harry's unavaible right right now." Carson informed, making me feel like I had been punched in the gut as I squeezed my eyes shut.
"But that's okay, you'll join him soon enough. First we're gonna have a little fun." Mr. Styles coaxed, and I started to tremble like I was in the cold as I struggled to push them away.
"Don't bother fighting." Carson tisked, and my body was pushed down to the concrete, and as I felt everything going black three sets of hands grabbed me everywhere they could.
"We're going to destroy you."
"Destroy him."
"Destroy you both."
"You don't deserve each other."
A mixture of taunting voices said, and I tried to cover my ears to block it out but someone pinned my wrists down. All I could do then was scream, and scream, and scream.
"Louis! Louis baby! Sweetheart, wake up!" I could hear Harry's vast voice shouting as I began to thrash around, and my breathing deepened.
I was starting to wake up, but I couldn't seem to escape the terror of the dream, it was trapping me.
"Louis!" Harry shouted again, and immediately I shot up, my eyes flying open as I fisted the sheets. A real scream almost escaped my mouth, but I managed to press my lips together before it did.
It took a moment for my eyes to adjust, and when they did I could tell it was morning for there was light penatrating the blinds that someone had twisted shut over the window. "Louis baby?" Harry said softly, and I felt his fingers rest on my shoulder as my head turned to look at him.
Harry was sitting crossed legged on the other side of the bed, and had a fairly alarmed expression on his face. Taking a long shakey breath I then threw back my blankets and crawled over to him and instantly he wrapped his arms around me as he pulled me into his lap.
Once Harry had secured me in his lap his kissed my forehead with a frown, and ran his fingertips through the hair on the back of my neck.
"Baby boo what's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked peering down straight into my eyes. I had opened my to tell him about the dream, but the instant I did I broke down crying.
So instead of talking I wrapped my arms around my waist and buried my face into his chest as I began to tremble the way I had in the dream. I wasn't sure why such a little nightmare had scared me so much, but I had a feeling it had to do with the fact it felt so real.
It must've been generated by my fears of people who were out to get us.
"Baby it's okay..shh.." Harry whispered, kissing my temple as he rubbed my back and I began to hiccup. It was a bit embarassing to be crying right now like a blubbering baby, but as long as only Harry saw I was good.
"Shh..it's okay..I'm here.." He whispered again, rocking my body gently, and I felt myself began to calm as my tears smeared over his chest but they began to slow down.
"I had..a..bad dream.." I breathed out, looking up at him for a brief moment then back down so I could bury my face into his chest. For a moment he was quiet, allowing my words to process, then he nodded.
"Well it's all over now baby, I promise. Everything is perfectly fine." Harry assured, nuzzling his face in my hair, and I sniffled with a sigh. "Sorry." I appoligized, feeling a bit guilty for probably scaring the crap out of Harry by the way I had woken up.
Harry shook his head at my comment though, rubbing my back a little slower now as he rested his other arm around my waist to hold me close. "Don't be sorry lovely. Everyone has bad dreams." He said softly, kissing my head and I let out a slow breath.
"Is it morning? What time is it?" I asked, deciding to take the topic off me now, though I did know that it was indeed morning. "Yeah it's morning, about tenish I believe." Harry informed, then he lowered his head so he could look at me as I buried my face in his chest.
"That means you have to get dressed sweetheart, because I can't wait any longer to give you your surprise." He whispered, kissing the tip of my nose, and a small smile appeared on my face as I hid my face in his warm naked chest.
"Do I have to dress nice?" I asked, my voice a bit muffled by his skin.
"We'll be outside, but if you want to you can. I'm gonna dress semi-formal." He informed, pausing his hand in the middle of my back and tracing patterns with his fingers, an action I mimicked on his lower back whilst gripping his waist.
"So I can dress causually?" I asked, finally feeling my racing heard and shaking limbs calm down to a normal rate.
"Yes." Harry nodded, smiling down at me as I looked up at him and he kissed my temple. I was so happy to have him sometimes, Harry was an amazing destraction, and I already was forgetting about the dream.
"Then let me go!" I whined, squirming in his grip, and he laughed as he tighened it and nuzzled his face into my neck. "It's hard, because I just want to hold you in my arms all day." He sighed, peppering my throat with kisses that made me giggle, and I was then released.
"Go get dress." He said, then gently pushing me off his lap, and slipping off the bed prior to walking over to the closet. "Okay." I huffed, feeling a bit cold now from the loss of contact but I didn't complain as I hopped off the bed and dabbed away any remaining tears with my fingertips.
Once I had dried off any signs of tears on my face, I walked out of the room, down the hall, and into the guestroom where my bag of clothes was.
After a couple of minutes of debating what to wear, I settled on a red sweatshirt and jeans with sneakers since Harry had said we were going to be outside, and it was cold out today.
Soon I had pulled on my selection of attire, and made my way back over to the bag to retrieve my brush so I could get my hair under control. With in ten minutes time I was fully equipt to take on the day, and I was eager to know what this surprise might be.
From the way it sounded, it seemed as if we were going to an amusement park, or some cool outdoor place or something! Perhaps Harry was taking me camping. Whistling softly to myself I pushed my thoughts aside and wandered out of the guest bedroom, and back into the hall.
I was sure that by now curly was dressed for the day as well, and if he wasn't I'd do the same thing I did the night he was drunk. I'd dress him and brush that lion main with my fingers.
"Harry?" I called out, my morning voice gone now, and my tone a bit more chirpy because I felt deep down like this was going to be a good day. "Yes my lovely Louis?" Harry sang song from his room, and I laughed quietly as I banged on the door.
"I'm dressed!" I informed, a bit loudly, but I didn't care. "Oh okay! I'm coming!" Harry shouted, then I heard a loud yelp as things began to topple down. I couldn't help but laugh at that because he had probably fell. Yes I laughed at Harry falling, I was a terrible boyfriend.
"I swear everything I broke was replaceable." Harry said, opening his door, and instantly I opened my mouth to fire back a smart comment but was silence when my eyes drunk in his appearance.
He had on tight black jeans, a white button up flannel; with the sleeves rolled up, boots that went far past his ankles, and the smell of axe circulating around him. He looked as if he walked off a model shoot, and I looked like I rolled out of bed.
"You look hot." Harry chuckled, giving me a knowing smile, and I cleared my throat before looking up at him. "You look hotter, trust me on that." I said, a wide grin then appearing on my face, and Harry laughed.
"Thank you babe, but I will never look as heavenly as you." He said softly, wrapping an arm around my shoulders, and I looped an arm around his waist.
"So are we going now? Or are we going to eat first?" I asked, looking up at him with a curious expression, so many question on the tip of my tongue. "I'll get you breakfest on the way, it's a bit of a drive, but I do believe it's worth it." He said, kissing my head, and we began walking down the hall.
"Can I have a hint?" I asked, looking back straight ahead so I wouldn't trip. "Nope. This is a very big surprise that I wouldn't want to blow, but I can promise you it will be pleasent." Harry assured, the both of us walking downstairs carefully so we wouldn't fall, and could stay arm in arm.
"Is it a place?" I inquired, not ready to stop pushing for hints, and Harry groaned.
"If you start attacking me with questions I'll kill you Tommo." He said, then pulling his arm away from me as we reached the bottom of the steps, and before I could follow him he picked me up and lifted me over the last step.
"Harry!" I laughed, batting his hands away when he put me down, and the grin grew on his face. "I just want to make sure my angel doesn't fall and batter himself." He said innocently, grabbing my hand and slipping his fingers through mine.
"Oh no we wouldn't want that, but I can walk down the stairs with out killing myself sweetheart." I teased, kissing his hand prior to him dragging me towards the door. "I'm sure you can, but I needed an excuse to pick you up." He shrugged, kissing my hand this time as we walked by the kitchen.
"Have fun boys! Louis behave!" Maddie called out, poking her head out of the kitchen with a smile, and I nodded.
"I always do, it's the big man here that doesn't behave when we're alone." I say, patting Harry's stomach with my free hand, and he groaned batting it away prior to him opening the front door.
"Bye Maddie! Take care of my mum and that rat Gemma." Harry said, waving to her as he dragged me out the door, and shut it behind us. "Maddie knows about the surprise?" I asked, and Harry nodded.
"Only her though, I didn't see the point in telling anyone else." He informed, leading me over to the car, and stopping at the passenger side so he could unlock the door and open it for me.
"My CindeLou." He said, bowing as he swept his hand in the direction of the door, and I couldn't help but smile at the gesture. "Thank you prince Harry." I said in response, kissing his head as I climbed in.
"I'm more of a stable boy quite honestly." He said, kissing my cheek before closing my door and I shook my head at him. "Dork!" I called out, putting my feet up on the dashboard as I buckled in.
Here goes nothing.
-
An hour and a half later me and Harry were still driving. For the first fourty minutes of the ride we had talked about nothing in particular, stopping only once to get some breakfest at a drive-thru.
Now we were both sitting in silence, Harry humming quietly while I played on my phone, occasionally pausing my game to text back my sisters who had decided to put that type of technology to good use.
Every now and then I would look out the window to get a feel for our surroundings, but other then that I was quite.
My theroy of an amusement park had been shattered fifteen minutes ago when Harry pulled out of the city, and into some kind of country side place, and my indoor water park one had completely faded.
I actually had no idea where were, nor did I have any idea of what to expect. I do admit I was a bit nervous not knowing what was going to happen, but I wasn't going to complain because Harry seemed excited.
During our long conversation for the first fourty minutes, he kept going on and on about how he really hope I'd like the surprise, which made me wonder. There were many things it could be, there many things in the country he could planning, but I couldn't seem to put a finger on it.
"We're here." Harry then announced, clearing his throat a few times as he pulled off the bumpy road we had been driving on, and onto a gravel path. Putting down my phone I sat up eagerly, expecting to see something, but instead I saw nothing.
By nothing I meant just grass, a giant hill, and the sky. Actually I had to admit it was beautiful here. A little ways ahead a light blue car was parked at the bottom of the hill, and a girl with dirty pin straight blonde hair was just getting out of it as we pulled up.
Here came my picnic theroy again. Harry must've noticed my confusion, because it was pretty evident, but he said nothing as he pulled up next to the car, and turned off his with the pop of the engine.
"C'mon baby." He said, taking a deep breath and kicking open his door. Biting my lip I pulled my feet off the dashboard, undid my seat buckle, and climbed out of the car. When I stepped out I was greeted with cool, crisp air, and complete silence that consisted of a bird occasionally chirping.
It appeared to be peaceful here.
"It's so green!" I exclaimed, pulling down my sweatshirt sleeves further to protect my skin, and I slipped a hand through my hair to make it less messy. "There you are! I thought you both weren't coming." The girl exclaimed, her voice being a bit snobby, but professional.
Harry glanced at me with a smile really quick and walked over to the girl with a smile.
"I'm sorry Ashlin, there was traffic." He said, giving her a brief hug, and she nodded appoligectically. "Everything is set up just as requested Harold." She informed, and Harry tapped her cheek with a nod.
"Thank you, you can go home now, I won't be needing you for a bit." He said, and she nodded as well, glancing over at me before walking over to her car, and getting in. "I'm guessing that's Ashlin?" I asked, and Harry nodded.
"She may appear a bit of a snob at first, but she's really nice." He informed, practically reading my mind, because she did seem to be a bit of a snob. "I believe you." I laughed, and he held out a hand for me.
''C'mon. If I have to wait any longer I think I'll cry." Harry said, and I nodded as I bit my lip and slipped my hand into his. Then with out another word Harry led up the side of the hill, being careful not to let me fall.
When we got to the top it was an amazing view. You could see miles, and miles of nothing but empty feilds. It was the type of senery you wanted to run through as fast as you could! Yet, that wasn't what caught my attention.
It was the fact that beneath the canopy tree on top of the hill there was a piano with candles flickering on top. There was a giant sleeping bag not to far off, and there was a blanket spread out with a cooler, and more unlit candles.
"What's all this?" I asked, a wide smile appearing on my face, as Harry took a deep breath. "Part of the surprise." He said softly, guiding me over to the piano, and he sat down. "Do you want me to sit down to?" I asked, and he shook his head as he scraped his fingers through his hair.
"No, this would be easier if you could stand." He said, and I nodded as I leaned against the piano on my elbows. "So you wrote a new song?" I asked, and he nodded as he opened the piano and licked his lips.
"I love you Louis." He said sweetly, then began to play the opening chords of his new song.
I figured it out.
I figured it out from black and white.
Seconds and hours.
Maybe they had to take some time.
I know how it goes.
I know how it goes from wrong and right.
Silence and sound.
Did they ever hold each other tight
Like us?
Did they ever fight
Like us?
You and I.
We don't wanna be like them.
We can make it 'til the end.
Nothing can come between
You and I.
Not even the Gods above
Can separate the two of us.
No, nothing can come between
You and I.
Oh, you and I.
I figured it out.
Saw the mistakes of up and down.
Meet in the middle.
There's always room for common ground.
I see what it's like.
I see what it's like for day and night.
Never together
'Cause they see things in a different light
Like us.
But they never tried
Like us.
You and I.
We don't wanna be like them.
We can make it 'til the end.
Nothing can come between
You and I.
Not even the Gods above
Can separate the two of us.
'Cause you and I...
We don't wanna be like them.
We can make it 'til the end.
Nothing can come between
You and I.
Not even the Gods above
Can separate the two of us.
No, nothing can come between
You and I.
You and I.
Oh, you and I.
Oh, you and I.
We can make it if we try.
You and I
Oh, you and I.
At the end of the song a wide grin was on my face.
That by far had been the most beautiful song Harry wrote, and he sounded like an angel singing it. Every lyric had been perfect, and the piano music so well composed.
"That was by a long shot my favorite song you've ever written." I say, feeling my heart beat at a steady pace. His music calmed to an extent.
Harry said nothing though in reference to my comment, instead he rose to his feet in front of me, a soft look of the purest adoration on his face, as he slipped his hands into his pockets.
"That night at the bar I felt like I was going to loose you, I was so sure I was, and when I felt those dreadful emotions I realized there was something I had to do, something that had to be done now before it was to late."
He then slipped a hand out of his pocket, grabbing my hand as he dropped down onto one knee and pulled out a box from his pocket that was made of the most beautiful red velvet I've ever seen.
"Louis William Tomlinson I've never been in love like this. I didn't know what it felt like to be in love. I know we've had our difficulties, but I want to move on from those. To start a new page in our story, and I want that new page with you forever. Just me and you. I don't ever want to be with out you, you make me feel things I've never thought I could feel. I've shared things with you I've never told anyone. Louis William Tomlinson I promise to love you every second, and minute until the day your heart stops beating. Then even after that."
He then flipped opened the box revealing a ring as he looked up me with the biggest and most afraid eyes I had ever seen.
"Will you marry me?"
My heart then completely stopped in shock as my hands flew to my mouth, and my breathing became heavy. I couldn't believe the words that just came out of his mouth, they seemed so unreal that I actually considered pinching myself to see if they were true.
All the pain, fear, anger, doubt, and sorrow I had ever had in my life just melted away with his words. I wasn't sure why,but with in that moment I felt my eyes tearing up as I collasped onto my knee's in front of him, and looked at him in shock barely able to breath.
I wanted to be with him for infinity more then anything with that moment, no doubt about it. "S-Say it a-again.." I choked out, wanting to hear the flawless sound of his voice asking a life changing question once more as I began to tremble in happiness.
At my plea Harry bit his lip, trying hard to contain the smile that was struggling to break free.
''I want to have a family with you. You've made me so happy, and I can't bare to be with out you. My sorrow would drown me if I ever lost you. All I want is you, no one else. Louis, please I beg of you with every breath in me, marry me." He pleaded, licking his lips as his eyes bore into mine with a suspenceful stare.
Some people would say he was asking such a thing to soon, but when they fall in love the way we did they will understand. I then let out a soft cry of happiness as I nodded quickly.
"Y-Yes.." I choked out, then took a deep breath to rein in my emotion as I repeated the words with a stronger tone.
"Yes! Yes! I will marry you Harry!" I exclaimed, holding out a trembling finger for the ring to be placed on.
