Dreaming about London

Happy being pathetic

A guy that cute and past the age of 12 shouldn’t be allowed to say a word – and especially not something that nice – while a slightly lonely and horny girl is taking a sip of her hot cappuccino. Suddenly everything was a complete mess; me choking on my coffee, so it went flying all over my poor thighs, and Niall getting so scared he accidentally dropped his on the ground in his clumsy attempt to try to help me.

“Aw!” I yelled.

“Oh my God Maja, are you okay?” he asked with concern. “I didn’t mean to scare you, I’m so sorry!”

“No no, it’s fine, it’s just… Why the hell didn’t I bring any napkins?” I said as I looked down at my wet and red legs.

“Oh, here. We can use this.” He took off his shirt, and couldn’t help but secretly glance towards him despite the pain from the burning hot coffee to see what was underneath; a tank top.

Well okay, fine then. Just leave me in even more misery than I was before, Niall Fucking Horan, I thought as he started to dap my thighs with his shirt.

“You look a bit burned,” he said with the same concerned frown on his forehead as he had before. “You probably should put on some cold water before it gets too bad.”

“Yeah okay,” I said. After a bit of him dapping with his shirt I said: “Look at us, Niall. We’re pathetic.”

As he looked around to see all the coffee that we had spilled all over the place he started laughing his gorgeous laugh that always made me laugh with him.

“Do you want to come home to my place?” he asked. “It’s right over here. Just so we can take care of you poor thighs and maybe get me a clean shirt?”
I nodded smiling, trying to keep myself calm, even though inside I was like this:

HJFHNDRUTIYEJGJ VMDSFF!!!!!

Me going home with Niall Horan, this seriously made me go out of my mind!

I helped him standing up and we started walking slowly.

“Are you going to be okay?” I asked concerned when I saw him struggling with his bad knees.
“The house is not far away, is it?”

“No, it’s the white house right there.” He pointed with one of his crutches.

“Really? Oh my God, I’ve always loved that house! It’s so nice and right down here at the sea,” I exclaimed admiring the old white building.

“Yeah, it’s great. We enjoy it here.”

Inside the house it was even more beautiful than I imagined. Light and warm colors and lots of space and air. It made me smile.

“Wow,” I said, while looking around and Niall smiled at me.

“We were lucky to get to rent this house. The owners happened to be on vacation these exact weeks until about the 15th of August, so Paul, our manager, arranged a relaxing trip for us here.”

He showed me the way to the kitchen, where he found a wet and cold cloth for my legs that now had started to hurt real badly. We sat down and he started to try to dap me again. I accidently jumped because of the pain.

“Oh sorry,” he said. “Wow, it really looks bad.”

“You don’t say,” a deep raspy voice suddenly said from the door. I looked up to see Harry Styles looking with raised eyebrows at something on my thighs that started to look like some up-coming burn blisters.

“Hi,” he then said, now looking at my face with a wry smile. “You must be Maja. I’m Harry.”

We shook hands. “Nice to meet you, Harry,” I said with a hopefully calm and charming smile – but I really had to do my very best not to break down and cry from happiness. I couldn’t believe I actually sat here with Niall Horan and Harry Styles!

“Coffee?” Harry asked us both and I was pulled out of my ecstasy.

“Uhm, yes please. I kind of spilled mine before I got a chance to drink any,” I answered.

“Yes, I can see that,” Harry said. “How did you manage to do that anyway?”

Niall and I quickly glanced at each other. “Well eh… just an accident,” Niall said. “I would like a cup as well, thank you.” He tried to change the subject, before we both got too embarrassed.
“Where are the rest of the boys? Still asleep?”

“I think Zayn and Perrie are still asleep, but Lou and El went for a walk and Liam is down by the shore to fish. He probably won’t be back for a couple of hours.”

“No, probably not,” Niall said smiling.

“Oh, Perrie and Eleanor are staying with you?” I asked, before I got the chance to stop myself. I didn’t want to seem like I knew too much about them and their lives, even though I had kept myself updated regularly through the past couple of years.

“Yeah, they arrived yesterday,” Niall answered.

“Can I get a tour around this beautiful house?” I then asked him.

“Yes, of course!” He was smiling, but as soon as he tried to get up from the chair the smile was replaced with a grimace of something that was probably pain.

“Okay, don’t,” I quickly objected. “We’ll do it another time.” I smiled reassuring, but he looked a bit disappointed.

“I can show you around the house. If you like?” Harry suggested.

“Well… yeah okay then,” I said, not exactly knowing how to react.

“Come this way, we’ll begin upstairs.” I followed Harry out through the kitchen door while quickly glancing back at Niall, who had started reading in some kind of magazine and taking a sip of his coffee – hopefully taking care of not spilling anything.

All of their bedrooms were upstairs. Louis and Eleanor’s room was still messy and filled with her clothes, probably because she just arrived yesterday. Harry’s room on the other hand was very neat and clean.

“Wow, this is very organized,” I said smiling.

“Yeah, I don’t like mess, it feels a bit suffocating,” he said and I nodded.

“Well, my room is a total mess and has always been. I do like when it’s clean, I just really hate the part where you have to begin the project, it just always seems like an impossible challenge,” I admitted.

“Maybe that’s because you never clean up, dear,” Harry laughed and giving my shoulder a small push and I smiled as well.

Niall’s room was actually also very tidy as I looked around from the doorway. “So you and Niall are the good boys I see?” I said.

“Yep. The others are just complete idiots.” We both laughed. “So how did you and Niall actually meet?” he suddenly asked.

“Well, he often sat on a bench right next to the path where I run in the morning, and he just asked me one morning if he could join my run. And then we met again today.”

“I have to say I was pretty worried about what kind of a girl you were. Niall coming home with completely destroyed knees made me a bit scared of you,” he said with a smirk.

I laughed. “I know, I’m really sorry about that. I didn’t know anything about his knee problems, he seemed perfectly fine during the run. But now I see that we might push ourselves a bit too hard.”

“Yeah, I don’t really know why he didn’t say anything.”

“Me neither.”

“He has told me about you though.”

I looked in to Harry’s green eyes. “Hopefully something nicer than my self-destructive workout.”
He laughed and said: “Don’t worry. Just things like you seemed like a nice person, and that he felt really relaxed talking to you.”

I couldn’t help but smile a blush a little bit. “Well, he seems like a nice guy,” was the only thing managed to say.

Downstairs Harry showed me the living room, where two big couches were placed in front of each other. Niall sat in one of them playing some chords on a guitar, smiling when we entered.

“So what do you think?” he asked, referring to the house.

“I think I’m currently present in the house of my dreams!” I said and smiled back at him.

“I saw you’ve cleaned up your room, Niall. Were you expecting any visitors or was that a complete coincidence?” Harry asked teasingly.

We all laughed, but I couldn’t help but notice a bit of a blush forming on his cheeks.

Suddenly my stomach started to rumble incredibly loud and both of the boys looked at me with huge grins on their faces, and I felt the blood racing through my body, straight towards my face.

“Sorry,” I mumbled looking down on my feet. “I didn’t have breakfast.”

“Then how have you managed to survive until now?!” Niall asked frightened.

“Relax Niall, it’s only 11 o’clock!” I laughed. “I would like some breakfast now though. May I rape your fridge?” I did a probably terrible parody of a formal gesture to underline my little attempt to be funny.

They both laughed loudly. “Be my guest,” Harry said.

“I’ll join you!” Niall said and suddenly stood up without too many problems.

“You don’t look that damaged right now,” I said suspiciously.

“Well, when it comes to food I won’t let anything stand in my way,” he replied.

“Yeah, me too.” We smiled at each other.

“Hey, wouldn’t you just love to make me an omelet?” Harry asked as he joined us in the kitchen, where he found Niall and I pulling one thing after another out of the fridge.

“I’d love it! But only because I want you to get a better impression of me than the girl that almost killed Niall during a workout.”

“That sounds great to me!” Harry smiled smugly and sat down at the big dining table in the middle of the kitchen, in which the stove also was placed.

“Uh, this is my fantasy kitchen!” I exclaimed, while cracking eggs in a bowl. “Do you like ham?”

“Yes, I do,” Harry said, knowing I was talking to him.

“Chives?”

“Yes please.”

“Mozzarella?”

“Yes indeed!” He started to smile.

“One omelet with ham, mozzarella and chives coming right up!” I swirled the pan in my hand – a move that I’d been practicing for the past 10 years, because I always thought it looked so incredibly awesome.

“Please stop,” Harry said, “you’re just making Niall falling in love with you.”

Even though we all laughed, I had trouble ignoring the secret feeling in my stomach hoping that he would.

“I suppose you know how to cook?” Harry asked.

“I don’t know what I know,” I said quickly. I always hated to tell what I was and wasn’t good at. “But I do like food and also cooking it. We’ll see what you think once you throw up from it.”

I smiled as I served him the omelet, to which Niall had his eyes pinched as it travelled across the dining table. I moved on to my own, as Harry suddenly exclaimed: “This is delicious!”

It didn’t take Niall more than half a second to decide that his cornflakes with milk were too boring of a second breakfast, and so he pushed it away from him saying: “Can I have one as well?” He pouted his mouth, ranging his eyelashes as much as he could.

“You most certainly can,” I said and made him one the same as Harry’s. It was gone in seconds – he must have burned his tongue terribly, cause it was served to him straight from the pan.

“Mmh, what’s that delicious smell?” a voice from the stairs shouted and a few seconds later a girl with light pink hair entered the kitchen. “Oh hello,” she said when she saw me sitting at the table. “I’m Perrie, Zayn’s girlfriend.”

“Uhm, I’m Maja,” I said with my mouth full of omelet and shook her hand. SO embarrassing! But luckily she just laughed and said: “I’m guessing you're the girl behind the delicious omelets?”

“They’re really good!” Niall said.

“We might need to hire you,” Harry said while scraping his plate to get everything off it. I smiled and also blushed a bit.

“Can you teach me how to do one? What do you put in?” Perrie asked.

“Uhm, just…” I had to swallow my food before I could talk any further. “Two eggs on a pan, stir them around and just add the ham, cheese, chives and salt and pepper.” She did as I said and a few minutes later she had her mouth full the same way as I’d had earlier. “This is good!” she said. Or at least that’s what I think she was trying to say.

“Guess that’s a hit then,” I said and she nodded.

“Where’s Zayn?” Niall asked her.

“Taking a shower,” she answered. Some omelet fell out of her mouth.

“You know it’s quite funny you guys still refer to each other as girlfriend and boyfriend, when you’ve been married for over a year,” Harry said.

“I know. It just feels so weird saying that, we’re still so young, and many people tend to get so judge mental when you say it, and wanted to make sure not to scare this poor girl.” She pointed at me with her fork and smiled.

“Don’t you worry,” I objected. “My mum got married to my dad when she was 18, and was 36.”
Everybody stared at me with their eyes wide open.

“Of course they’re now divorced, but what the hell. Good luck to you!” I added. That made them laugh, getting the sarcasm in my joke.

“Well, I better get home, before my mum thinks I’ve gotten knees like Niall.” We laughed again.

“It was really nice meeting you, Perrie. And you, Harry.” I gave them both a hug.

“It was really nice meeting you too,” Perrie said with a smile.

“You’re more than welcome to join us for a breakfast anytime you like!” Harry smiled at me.

“I’ll walk you out.” Niall stood up and followed me slowly and stumbling out to the front door.

“I really had a great time, Niall,” I said and turned towards him. “You have such nice friends.”

“You’re one of them now,” he smirked and I smiled. “Listen. Would it be okay with you if got your phone number?” He blushed a little bit while saying that.

“Yeah, of course!” I answered and he pulled out his phone. I typed in my number and my name and gave it back to him.

“Thanks!” He really looked happy. I gave him a hug and started running my route, just the other way, heading towards home. I looked back before I turned a corner to see Niall smiling at me in the doorway.
