Envy (Niall Horan) [BOOK 1]

Nialls POV
The lads and I just came back from the studio and we feel exhausted. We all went to my room so we can relax and hang out together.
"Do you guys want to go out to eat?" Zayn asks.
Everyone groans.
"I take that as a no." Zayn says with a smile.
"Why don't we just order room service?" Liam suggests.
"I could go for that." I state.
Everyone nods in agreement as Harry walks to get the room service menu.
Harry sits on his bed and everyone surrounds him to read the menu.
Everything sounds delicious.
"I think I'll have a burger and chips." Louis says.
"Don't you mean burger and fries as americans call it?" Liam asks, while smiling.
"Yeah whatever just get it because I'm starving!"
"I think I'll have the same." Harry adds.
"Me too." Zayn and Liam agree in unison.
Everyone then looks at me, waiting for my say.
"Well I think I will have the spaghetti and meatballs and chili with two bread rolls."
Everyone is in silence, just staring at me.
"What?" I ask.
They just burst out laughing and I just roll my eyes and throw a pillow at Louis' face.
"Ow that hurt!"
"That was kind of the point. Now order before I eat all of you."
They all put on a fake dramatic scared face.
"Do it Louis I think he actually will!" Harry states.
"Fine."
Louis' dials the phone number into the phone and waits.
"Oh good evening I will like to order.."
Elis POV
As I go up to the door I feel a little nervous. I don't understand why I mean he is my friend and he did say he wanted to hang out with me again. What if he is annoyed to see me. I shake my fearful thoughts and knock on the door.
"Room service." I say towards the door.
A tall boy with light brown hair and blue eyes opens the door and stands in front of me.
He was in the middle of thanking me until he sees my name tag and grows a smile.
"Zayn, Liam come over here!"
Two more tall guys come from the room up to the blue eyed boy and are confused.
"What's your name love?" The light haired, blue eyed boy askes
"Ugh... Elizabeth."
The black haired and other light haired boy's eyes widen as they continue to observe and stare at me.
Feeling uncomfortable, I break the silence.
"Here's your food I hope you enjoy it." I say awkwardly.
"No. Um can you bring in the food since it's so much." the balck haired boy says.
"Sure." I state with a nervous smile.
When I walk in the room with the cart, I hear a recognizable voice.
"Guys what took you so l--."
I then see an obviously exhausted Niall brighten up and hug me.
"Eli! Hi!" he exclaims as his eyes twinkle with excitement.
Is he really this excited to see me?
I couldn't help the smile on my face from growing.
"Niall!"
Our little reunion is interrupted by a fake cough.
"Oh this is Harry." Niall says pointing to the brown haired curly boy behind him.
"Hi um I'm Elizabeth but you can call me Eli." I say while shaking his hand.
"You're the girl that took Niall's phone." He states.
"Oh um well ya." I reply with my face staring at the floor from embarrassment.
"Harry help me with the food!" I hear the light brown, blue eyed boy say.
"Okay." Harry replies while heading toward the cart and un stacking the food from the cart.
When all the food is out of the cart and spread out on different coffee tables in the room, they all sit down and begin to eat.
"Well I better go... enjoy your food."
As I begin to walk away, I feel someone grab my wrist. I turn around and meet my friend's blue eyes once again.
"Don't go." Niall says.
He let's go of my wrist and smiles.
"I have to introduce you to the rest of the boys."
All the boys stand in a line, waiting to shake my hand.. I find it kind of cute. They're in line like little kids waiting to buy ice cream.
The first one is the light brown hair and blue eyed boy. "Hello, I'm Louis." I shake his hand.
"I-I'm Eli."
He smiles at my response, glances at Niall, then back at me.
"Oh I know."
I raise one eyebrow in curiosity as he walks back to his food.
The next boy comes up to me. It's the black haired one. "Hey I'm Zayn." He tries to give me a hug but I quickly put my hand out for him to shake. He stares at my hand and shakes it slowly.
I hear Louis in the background laugh.
"REJECTED." he screams while laughing hysterically.
Zayn chuckles and goes to Louis to hit him.
The light haired and light brown eyed boy comes up to me.
"Hi I'm Liam."
I nod my head and shake his hand.
Liam turns around and looks at Harry who is staring at his phone.
"Um Harry aren't you going to introduce yourself?"
"Already did." He says while still glaring at his phone.
Um okay..
Liam shrugs and they all go back to their food.
"It was nice meeting all of you but I have to go." I state while walking to the door.
"Stay." I hear from behind me.
I turn around and see Niall.
I give him a soft smile.
"I can't, I have to deliver more orders."
He has a pouty look on his face which causes me to laugh.
"If you want after my shift we can talk." I suggest.
"Sure, what time does your shift end?" he asks
"Ten." I retort.
He looks at his watch. "That's two hours away!
"It's not that bad." I say.
He sighs.
"Ya I guess so, but after your shift, meet me in the cleaning closet though because these boys can get loud and annoying." He says.
"Sure. This time wear a disguise."
"Fine."
I give him a hug and say my good byes to all the boys before I finally walk out of the room.
2 hours later
I'm in front of the cleaning closet waiting for Niall.
I feel someone poke me and see how it's Niall wearing a hoodie and sunglasses.
"You do know it's night time right?" I ask.
"You said I needed a disguise." He defends.
"Niall you look like a weird stalker. Take off the sunglasses."
He laughs and hands me his sunglasses.
"Thank you." I reply.
I open the cleaning supply storage door and we enter.
We sit down in front of each other in the middle of the room and start talking about our day.
"Niall chili and spaghetti?" I ask.
"I was starving!"
I chuckled and told him how one day I was so hungry that I ate two cheeseburgers and three slices of pizza. He looked amazed.
"That's nothing! One day I ate one of everything from the Nando's menu!"
"What's Nando's?"
His eyes widened in disbelief and he told me about it.
"Sounds good." I add
"It's AMAZING. They should really open one here."
I nod in agreement.
We talked for four hours.
"Niall, I have to ask... why did you want to talk to me again?" I ask curiously.
He looks down at his hands and I can tell he's thinking.
"Well, I mean ever since the lads and I became 'One Direction'...well it's just been hard to actually find people that want to actually get to know me because they just want to. You know what I mean?"
I nod my head and he smiles slightly.
"Even though we haven't known each other that long, I don't know. I just trust you." he adds.
I feel my lips separate at his words and I feel my heart warm a little inside my chest.
"I trust you too." I whisper.
His smile grows and he chuckles a little.
"Also, you have free access to mints, so I'm kind of taking advantage of that." he comments.
I raise one eyebrow at him and begin to laugh.
Niall is a really nice, genuine human being. I'm glad he's my friend.
After a few more minutes of talking I can't help but yawn.
"Someone's tired." He says while chuckling.
"I'm not tired, I'm just.... ya I'm tired." I give him a lazy smile.
He chuckles and gets up, as do I.
"I'm a little tired myself. Same time tomorrow?" He asks.
I feel my eyes widen a little in shock, but nod my head.
"Ya sure."
He gives me a hug good bye and we both leave.
We came here everyday after that.
