Angels & Demons (ON HOLD)

Onyx’s Pov.

My alarm Clock buzzed, it’s annoying wail ringing through my house.

“Gahhhh” I groaned hitting the button. I got up and made my way to the bathroom. I showered and did my hair and makeup I put on my clothes and walked down stairs with my phone.

“Good morning Onyx,” my dad smiled at me “Morning Daddy” I pecked his cheek

“How are you baby?”

“I’m alright dad, you? What have you got planned for work today?” I said as I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie from the platter. They were still warm.

My dad was a Lawyer and my mom was a relator. Unlike most busy parents they never bought my affection, they had spent so much time with me, it was insane.

“Criminal Trial today” he said

“You go kick some arse ya hear me” I laughed at him

“You may look like your mother” he said “but you are definitely me.”

I laughed “tell me about it”

My dad was handsome and quite young; I was born when my mom was 17 and my dad 18. He is now 35, and my mom is 34.

Dad’s eyes were a light blue and his skin had a fair olive tone to it his hair was black. My dad enjoyed keeping fit, he worked out 5 days a week in the gym downstairs.

Being the successful lawyer and professor of the supernatural and demonology he was you would expect him to be very proper no tattoos nothing- boy were you wrong- My dad was quite the opposite.

He had tattoos. He had spindly demon wings that went up his neck, they then the other half turned into angel wings, he had my name tattooed on his right bicep along with a wrap around tribal tattoo. He had a collar tattoo Strength and Determination. That was one of my favorites. He had a cross on his Left bicep and my birthdate in roman numerals just above his underwear line on his hip.

I guess that’s where I got my love for tattoos from.

My mom came downstairs her blonde hair down around her shoulders, she was wearing a black skirt suit with a cream blouse and Black Louboutins. She was digging through her purse.

“Damien?” She called bounding down the stairs “Have you seen my car keys?”

My dad put his finger out the keys to her Cadillac on them. She grabbed them and kissed him “good morning Dami” she said

My dad laughed a throaty sound “Morning Cari” he kissed her again.

“Can you two stop being cute? I’m eating over here! ” I gasped jokingly

“Shut up Ony” my mom laughed at me she walked over kissing my cheek “Morning hon.”

My mom was the perfect good girl. The girl next door, but clearly she had a thing for bad boys. No tattoos, only her ears pierced. My dad converted her a tad to the point were she only got one tattoo of my birthday on her hip.

“First day of senior year huh, you excited” My dad asked

I nibbled on the cookie. “Not really, Schools dumb”

“Onyx.” My mother chided me “schools important.”

“well you weren’t necessarily just focusing on school in senior year were ya?” I said obviously looking at my dad and the gesturing to myself and making my thumb and forefinger on my left hand into a loop and then keeping my left pointer finger out and putting it in the o making the international sex symbol.

“Carmen” he dad laughed “she’s right”

“Oh shut up Damien!” My mom threw a cookie at him he caught it

“ouu send that my way,” I said to my dad “I was going to eat that Onyx.”

“Hey dad?” I whispered “I don’t care” and with that I grabbed the cookie out of his hand and kissed his cheek and then my mom’s

“Bye guys,” I laughed “ I’ll call you later,”

“Have a good day Onyx” my mum smiled

“Have fun- but not too much Onyx” my dad laughed

I snorted and as I shut the door and called “No promises!”
