Marnie's POV
I stood in front of the mirror and swung my wet, clean hair over my shoulder. I looked at my freshly washed body and then proceded to fish tail my hair. I softly hummed a sweet tune that traveled up high in the notes and skipped around a lot; it was a really fun song to sing, It made me feel like a real singer. I finished my braid and I tied it off with a black hair band. I think it was the best fish tail I had ever done. I tilted my head a little as I noticed that my hair was longer than the last I checked; it came down a few centimeters over my breasts. I swiftly wrapped a towel around myself and grabbed my tooth brush from the holder. I applied some minty paste and was about to put it in my mouth when I looked in the mirror and let out a horrified, high pitched scream.
Silvie's POV
I lifted my eye mask from my face and stretched. I sat up in bed and looked around my room. The gorgeous morning light was pouring in through my large windows and was illuminating the far wall of the space. I got out of bed and yawned. I walked over to my makeup table and sat down. I turned on the mirror lights and looked at myself. My dark brown eyes looked great and my hair looked great, as usual. I ran my purple brush through my hair and then tied it back in a ponytail. I aplied some foundation, then some primer to my eyes, and then I put on my usual eyeshadow look. I added some blush and some lipstick, and then I was off to my closet.
I picked out a pretty pink blouse with some high-waisted light blue jeans. I pulled them on and then went to put on my earings. I was ready. I looked in the mirror one last time at my perfection then scampered out of the room.
Marnie's POV
"Oh..My...God..." I thought to myself as I stared into the mirror. Behind me, I saw my friend Ayanna leaning against the wall and smirking. I grabbed my brush in anger and spun around. "You little bitch! You scared the crap outta me!" I screamed as I chucked my nice brown hairbrush at the girl next to my shower. It hit her in the thigh and she started laughing hysterically. I stood there fuming. "Hahhahah, omg, you, hahah...." she couldn't control herslef she was laughing so hard. "Phew... hahah... You should've seen your face!" She said with a few giggles at the end. Just then my mom burst into the room. "WHAT is going on, girls?!" She exclaimed as she walked in, her baseball bat ready to swing at whoever she must've thought was in the bathroom with me. "I was just visiting Marnie, Mrs. Olsen. How are you?" She said in a tender voice. "Oh, oh, I'm-I'm fine, thanks for asking. And you, honey?" My mom said shakily. Ayanna had another little fit of giggles. "Oh, I'm good." She said, struggling to contain herself. "Well, if everything's alright here, I've gotta go put this thing away," my mother siad as she pointed at the wooden bat.
"Well? What do you want?" I said in an annoyed voice. "I wanna take you out today. We haven't hung out in like forEVER." She said while examining her nails. "Let's get mani-pedi's." She concluded. "Okay, sounds great." I said, picking up my toothbrush from the floor where I had dropped it. "Oh, no, shit," I said under my breath. "What?" Ayanna asked as she vaulted herself up onto the countertop. "I can't hang out today, sorry." I said, really meaning it. "Oh, why not?" She asked, staring at me. "Oh, I have a concert to go to tonight." I answered, and angrily walked out of the bathroom.
