Stole My Heart

We spent a lot of time with R5. Nina and Ross really seemed to be hitting it off. Unfortunately, they had to get ready to perform and had to leave. On the bright side, Nina and Ross had exchanged numbers. We walked around some more until R5 gave their performance. They were absolutely amazing singing Loud. Ross had even called Nina up on stage with them and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

After that we walked around some more until Niall told me that One Direction had to get ready to go on. He kissed me on the cheek and took off running. I think my heart did a somersault watching him walk off.

Luke eventually found his way over to where I was and asked if I wanted to go over to the stage to watch the performers. I nodded and we navigated our way through the crowd. I didn’t really know any of the songs that they sang but I was still enjoying myself.

Then they announced that Marianas Trench would be performing next and I about lost it. Marianas Trench was my favorite rock band next to Daughtry and I started screaming at the top of my lungs. It really surprised me because they really only give shows in Canada.

“This is one of my favorite bands!” Luke exclaimed looking at me.

I couldn’t believe it. “You’re a Trencher too?” I asked. Luke nodded and Marianas Trench came out.

Luke’s P.O.V.

I was really excited that Marianas Trench was performing and even more excited that Laurel was a Trencher. She began screaming the second they came on stage. After the first couple of notes I could tell that they were playing Desperate Measure. I was singing until I noticed Laurel was keeping time and singing along. I stopped to listen better. I liked hearing her sing and smiled when she changed the lyrics of the song so that she didn’t swear. Her eyes were lighting up and her smile was dazzling. I forgot about everything else and time seemed to stand still. I wished that I could freeze this moment forever.

I was pulled out of my trance when the song ended and Laurel turned to me smiling and asked, “Wasn’t that great?”

I took a few moments to catch my breath. “Yeah, it was fantastic! I’ll take you to one of their concerts in Canada one day.” I promised taking her hand casually.

Laurel laughed and shook her head. “All right.” Then she pointed up at the stage. “One Direction’s performing next!”

Niall’s P.O.V.

We walked out onstage and were greeted by a flood of cheers and applause. The boys and I took our places and the lights came up when the music started. Harry sang the first verse of Best Song Ever, followed by Zayn, then Liam. I wasn’t really paying very close attention to the song and was more intent on spotting Laurel in the crowd. Finally, when it came to my part, I saw her and our eyes met. Her green eyes were shining from all of the flashing lights. She broke into a smile and started singing along.

When the song ended, I rushed out to find Laurel, hoping that she was still in the same place that she had been during the song. Luckily, she was there. She was also holding onto Luke’s arm but her smile was so brilliant I almost didn’t care.
