Stole My Heart

After I got home I ate and got ready quickly, throwing on some jeans and a nice T-shirt. I tried to put my hair in a ponytail but since I had straightened it this morning it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. My side bangs did not want to stay in the ponytail and just ended up hanging down in front of my face ( but I've had worse ).

I heard the doorbell ring and headed downstairs. My dad had already answered the door and was talking to my friends.

" Sorry about that I said."

"Oh, no problem." Sarah responded, " Your dad's really nice."

" Ready to go?" Heather asked.

"Think so." I responded.

Before we knew it we were in the car listening to the radio. The man said that they had just given away their last ticket and the 1D concert tomorrow night was sold out.

" Well," Sarah said dejectedly, " We could always sneak into the concert."

"Yeah right," Nina replied, " that place is probably crawling with security guards."

I sighed, "We'd never get past Paul Higgins anyway."

"That's for sure" Heather stated bluntly.

We when got there we were skating before you could say One Direction. I have had very little experience skating and fell more than anyone else there ( even thought it was just us and three other girls who left soon after we arrived). But the only thing that mattered was that I was having fun. I didn't care how many bruises I got.

We were laughing when I felt my phone vibrate and skated into the corner to answer it. I was my mom (of course).

" Hey honey, I just wanted to see what time you girls were going to be back." she said.

It was nice that she was concerned but I really didn't feel like talking to her right then. "I don't know... probably around 8:00."

"All right, as long as you're home by nine."

I saw Sarah motioning for me to come over so I slowly skated towards them. " Yeah okay. Hey mom, I'll call you ba- "

All of a sudden, something hit me from behind. My phone flew from my hands and, being the old phone that it was, didn't break. I hit the ground arms outstretched and falling forward. I grunted as I fell and my elbow was hurting pretty bad. My friends were skating toward me with concern and something else on their faces.

I sat up and shook my head, but things refused to come into focus.

I heard someone say, "Oh my gosh I swear I didn't mean to run into you! I am so so incredibly sorry! Are you okay?" and there was no mistaking his Irish accent.
