Stole My Heart

I went inside and told my friends they could get set up and get changed - I'd be down in a minute. I wanted to check on my siblings and get my teeth brushed and pajamas on.

First I decided to change and brush my teeth. Then went to my siblings.

I checked Kelly's room first and then the boys. As soon as I entered their room Sean sat up, rubbed his eyes and asked, "Laurel, is that you?"

"Yeah Sean, it's me." I said quietly, trying not to disturb Max and Jordan.

"I can't sleep." he said pouting.

" Why not?" I asked.

"I'm scared." Sean replied softly.

"Of what?" I questioned, sitting down next to him.

"The angles. The angels on Doctor Who." he said tearing up.

"Shhh, hey it's okay buddy. Would you like to sleep downstairs with me and my friends tonight?"

He nodded.

"You have to promise to be quiet though." I said gently.

I picked him up along with a blanket and sleeping bag and headed downstairs.

"We've got a visitor tonight." I said.

"Sean!" Sarah yelled throwing her hands up. "Give me a hug!"

"Shut up! You're going to wake everyone else up." Nina said rolling her eyes.

Sean went over to sit with Sarah while I got my stuff set up. The girls were trying to get him to stop crying.

When I had finished I sat down sighing and said, "What a day! I mean we met 5 Seconds of Summer, hung out with them, went backstage with One Direction, watched 5SOS, performed with One Direction, and went on their tour bus! Who else gets to say that?"


"I know right." Heather said in disbelief. "And I'm dating Louis Tomlinson. LOUIS WILLIAM TOMLINSON!!!"

"He's not the only boy we met today that likes one of us." Sarah said smiling. "Two of them in fact happen to like one person." And with that all heads turned to me.

"Oh come on you people. You don't honestly think that one of them likes me." I said a bit irritated.

"I never said one of them," Sarah said in her 'lovey-dovey voice', "Two of them."

"No, they don't! But just out of curiosity, which two exactly?" I asked, genuinely wanting to know.

"Don't be stupid Laurel." Heather said exasperated. "It's obvious."

"I don't understand how you got such good grades in high school." Nina said. "Niall and Luke idiot!"

"You guys seriously think that I'm believing this?" I asked. "And what makes you think they do?"

"Well for one the way they look at you, two the way Luke talked to you and stares at you and hugged you after the concert, three the way Niall kissed you during the concert, four, the way he held your hand like all day, and five the way he held you on the tour bus."

I felt like I had butterflies in my stomach and my heart lurched. It was probably beating a thousand times a second. I desperately wanted what they said to be true, but I kept telling myself that it wasn't. I mean who would like me? I have never had a boyfriend so why would anyone like me. I mean, they take one look at me and head for the hills. Me of all the people in the world, why would they like me?

"Well then if it's so obvious that they like me it's obvious that Ashton likes you Sarah." I said defensively.

"Really?" she asked her eyes lighting up."

"Yes really" I replied.

I heard Sean snoring and turned to see him fast asleep on Sarah's lap.

" Here, let me put him on the couch." I said picking him up.

"Oh, by the way," I said settling into my sleeping bag, "The boys want to hang put with us tomorrow too. They'll be here around 10:00. So let's try to get some sleep." I said turning out the lights.
