Alyssa's Point of View

Harry's bed is rather comfy; it's been a while since I've been on it. The skin under my knees were getting sweaty from sitting Indian style so long and my hair has fallen in my face. I've made no attempt to move it and Harry refuses to until I start speaking.

"I was humiliated at a party after homecoming."

"We don't have to go to a party."

"That's not the point Harry." He rolled his eyes. He has no sympathy for my situation. I guess he's probably getting tired of my bullshit. I love to feel sorry for myself. "Whatever, I'll go with you." Finally my legs could breath as I stretched them off of the bed.

"Tell me what happened Alyssa."

"I was shoved in a closet and locked inside for about an hour--hint my claustrophobia. When they finally let me out I was pushed around my Amber and Crystal. They hit each other and I didn't understand why until they told people I did it to them. I was grounded by my parents for a month because their parents spoke to mine. I didn't mind being grounded, it helped me stay away from them but to this day everyone thinks I did it." I sighed, knowing it sounds stupid. "I know it's stupid to be so upset about, but it's gone on for so long I'm just tired of it. They've cut my hair, put stuff in my food like bugs and one time even a piece of chicken."

Now I'm broke. I sat on his floor and began to cry. "I'm a pescatarian Harry. I don't eat meat and they put it in my food. Do you know how hard that was for me to get over? I don't eat meat for certain reasons and they put it in my food anyway."

He sat next to me on the ground and comforted me just by his presence. I held my knees close to my body and rocked back and forth. Once I could control my tears I tried to speak,

"Every year around this time I get really emotional because of the dance and I just don't want it to happen again. People hate me because of all of these things. They call me over dramatic and crazy. I know I put up this front but it hurts; it really does."

I'm ready for a hug now and Harry knew it. He wrapped his arms around me and we sat in silence. Maybe he can fix me.

Harry's Point of View

She said yes, she finally said yes. I feel bad about everything but I'm going to make this the best night of her life. I'll throw our own party for her if I have to and Amber won't have her way.

With Alyssa in my arms she finished reading The Princess Bride to me. She said we could watch the movie next and I'm really excited to see it. Apparently it's actually really accurate with the book.

"Ready for the movie?" She asked quietly. Her eyes are still a little red but they do look much better. I released my arm from around her and we headed down the stairs. I don't really want to watch it in the living room because I can't put my arm around her but she insists we must be around people. If we're going to the dance her parents need to think it's completely friendly and innocent.

The Princess Bride played and Alyssa is absolutely right. It's almost exactly like the book. Her laughter is like music to my ears. I've never been so happy while watching a movie. I watched her laugh and I watched her sigh during the same parts in the book. When Inigo spoke she followed his words,

"My name is Inigo Montoya! You killed my father! Prepare to die!"

I chuckled as she stood up with her imaginary sword.

"What a loser." Megan and Erin walked into the room but Alyssa didn't turn around. Her eyes are red and they'll make it worse if they see them.

"Want to watch?" I asked them nicely.

"Sure!" Erin said excitedly. Megan sat on one side of me and Erin on the other. They both leaned their heads on my shoulders and I felt so awkward but Alyssa didn't look. I don't know if she doesn't care, is pissed, or is too into the movie to pay attention. I think it's a little of everything.

"Harry" I heard a whisper coming from my door.

"Yeah?" It's three o'clock in the morning, what could Alyssa possibly need. Hopefully my body. Harry, you're awful, shut up.

"Can I come in?" I sat up and patted the spot next to me.

"Of course."

Alyssa got under the covers and I loosened my arm so she can slide under my grip. I held her in my arms and closed my eyes. I love the feeling of her next to me. We've never slept in the same bed; always across the hall, but I can get used to this. She took deep breaths like she had been crying recently. I'm glad I can be here for her while she's feeling so down.

I intertwined my free hand with hers which was resting on my chest.

"Bad dream?"

"Mhmm."

"Did you lock the door?" I asked her quietly.

"Mhmm," she replied solemnly.

"Is your door locked?"

"Mhmm," solemn again.

"Do you have the key?" She looked to me and smiled. I guess I'm just nervous someone might find out.

Without speaking again she reached across my chest and dropped the key on my night stand. She didn't return back to my side, she simply hovered over me and brushed some curls out of my face. I think she debated on kissing me but instead she rested again. She can't tease me like that. Being inches away from my lips and then moving away? That's not fair.

I made my way on top of her and she smiled in the darkness. I love when my eyes adjust, I can see her lips, her cheeks, and sometimes even her eyes glistening in the moon light.

"Hi," she said casually.

"Hey," I replied before kissing her.

I had a terrible dream I checked my stories and I had a 4 for my rate. I seriously freaked out and had to get up and check....it was 3 am. What is wrong with me?
