~ 5 Years Later

I walk into the hospital with a large smile on my face. Today I feel happy, very happy actually. I walk to the front desk and immediately get greeted by the nurses.

"Hey Jamie.. How was your weekend?" I signed my name into the sign sheet.

"It was good, didn't do much just laid in bed and exercised. Same old stuff. How's Jonathan?"

"He's good. Sleeping, eating and crying as usual."

"Aw, you really need to bring him because I can't live on just seeming pictures anymore." I said as I walked away.

"I will soon." She yelled to me. I gave her a small wave as I walked over to the wall that told us what patiences we had at what time. My finger traced the words until I found my name. I looked across from my name and saw that I have.... Tony.

"Who do you have right now?" My body jumps as I hear someone speak into my ear. I turn around to face them with my hand on my chest.

"You can't do that Maddy! You'll give me a freaking heart attack!" I said playfully hitting her shoulder. She just chuckled.

"Sorry, but who do you have right now? I have the old woman Margret."

"I have Tony.. They always assign me to him for some reason." I watched as her face scrunched up once I said his name.

"Tony? Like Tony Nickleson?"

"Yup, that's the one."

"I swear, that kids a creep. When I went into his room last night because I was assigned to him since you weren't here, he started screaming out of nowhere until I left." I covered my mouth as I laughed because I could really imagine him doing that.

She walked me to his room as she kept talking about the problems tony always causes her.

"I swear, that kid is weird." I opened the door to his room and out my finger over my lips telling her to be quiet since tony was sleeping.

"Bye, I'll see you later." I said in a whisper. She waved me goodbye as I walked into the room, slowly closing the door behind me so it would make any noise. I slowly tip toed over to the sink and grabbed a plastic cup as I filled it with water.

"You know Jamie, you don't have to tip toe because I'm not sleep." I smirk to myself as I walk over to Tony with a cup of water in one hand and two pills in the other.

"Since you just admitted your not sleep, go ahead a take these two pills for me. They ease the pain." I said as I laid the cup on the counter and handed Tony the pills but he instantly shut his mouth closed.

"I will if you let me take you out to dinner." I look up from my clip board at Tony.

"Honey, how old are you?" I said in a baby voice. He just rolled his eyes and smiled.

"I'm nineteen.."

"That's funny, because on your paper it says your fifteen." I walked over to him laughing as he blushed. I grabbed the pills off the counter once again in attempt for him to take it.

"Now, take the pills." I said.

"Why won't you go out with me?"

"Your fifteen for god sakes."

"Age ain't nothing but a number baby. Plus, why is it that big of a deal you look like your nineteen too." I put the clip board in front of my face as I blushed and chuckled.

"How flattering but stop playing. You know for a fact I'm not nineteen. Now take the pills."

"How old are you then?"

"Too old for you. Your not even legal yet!"

"So?"

"So? I will probably go to jail if I was with you! I'm twenty two little boy. Now, take the pills." I handed him the water and the pills but he rejected them again. I rolled my eyes and sighed deeply.

"You don't love me?" He said pouting his bottom lip.

"I love you but not like that. I love you as a patient but I'll love you more if you make my life simple and just take the pill!"

"I feel like we have a future together! Even though were seven years apart I see myself being with you Jamie!"

"No! Your still in mi-" I was instantly cut off by hearing someone knock on the door. I turned my head around to see who it was and it was Dr. Nathan. He slowly opened the door a peeked his head in.

"May I have a word with you Ms. Fielder."

"Yes, I'll be out in one second." He nodded his head slowly as he closed the door. My head snapped back to Tony who was laying their blowing me kisses.

"If these two pills are not down your throat by the time I get back, I will have them strap you down and forcefully put it down without your opinion. Again. " I said between my teeth. I gathered my clip board and narrowed my eyes as I looked at Tony one for more.

"Ohh, I like it I kinky too." I ignored his comment and begun to walk out when I heard him yell something to me.

"And don't cheat on me with that doctor dude! Just because one arm doesn't work doesn't mean I don't have two feet and one arm!" I shook my head laughing as I closed the door. My eyes scanned the halls in search for Dr. Nathan.

Once I saw him, he was standing over at the main desk chatting with the nurses. I walked over to him and instantly turned his attention to me.

"Hello Ms. Fielder."

"Hello."

"Your one of the best nurses at this hospital and..." Oh god, is he firing me?

"Your amazing with your patiences." I nodded my head for him to go on.

"I need you to do a house visit for a patient. For security reasons, it's not safe for him to stay here so that's why we have him at home. And we need a nurse for him."

"But I don't do house visits. You know that."

"I know but it's the same as working at the hospital but your just dealing with one patient."

"I just don't know."

"You get paid double since your working two shifts. Since it's at their home you'll be staying their and your going to be helping them all day."

"I'm in!"

"Great.. Here's the information and you start tomorrow." He handed me a folder with the patiences information in it. I laid it on the counter so I could read it better.

"Oh and Ms. Fielder." I looked up at the doctor as he begun to walk away.

"Yes sir?"

"You look very beautiful today..." Before I had anything else to say, he walked away just as I begun to blush. The nurses at the counter started making noises as they watched me.

"Ohh, hooking up with the doctor. Good for you girl."
"Every doctor wants him."

"Oh shut up. I'm not hooking with no one."

"It's not hard to tell he has a thing for you though." I shrugged my shoulders in attempt to just stop the conversation. I flipped through the pages in the folder as I looked at what was wrong with the patient.

But my eyes grew wide and my heart started to beat rapidly as I read the patiences name. I should never have took this...
