Hanging By A Moment

Samantha's POV:
'Hey, come in' Zayn opened door. It's been two days since I last saw Jacob and Taleiah. And I know I shouldn't be worried because I knew Harry and the others wouldn't let anything bad happen to them. But I was more worried of how Harry was going to cope with the twins.

'Hey love' the boys greeted me when I entered the lounge. 'The girls are making lunch' Liam informed me. 'Oh okay where's the twins?' I asked. 'Outside, come on' Zayn led the way. I slowly stopped walking as I neared the door. From behind the glass, I watched Harry play soccer with Jacob while Taleiah was seating on the sideline following the ball with her eyes.

A smile tugged across my face at the scene in front of my eyes. 'Harry did really well Jules, you would proud of him' I heard Zayn's voice as I kept my eyes fixed outside. I turned to look at him and we both smiled. He opened the door and led the way out. I walked over to Taleiah and gave her a kiss. 'Mummy' she uttered in a petite voice. 'I've missed you sweetie' I hugged her.

'Look, Jacob Mummy's here' I heard Harry called out. I pulled away from Taleiah and approached them. 'Does mummy wanna play soccer?' Harry kicked the ball to me.I rolled my eyes then began dribbling the ball towards the net.Thankfully, my ankle was all better after I twisted it 3 days ago. I was halfway there until Harry came to my side and tried to take the ball from me. 'Harry' I groaned. 'Come on love' he chuckled as he nearly had the ball. I gave him a slight push which gave me a chance to escape his defence. I ran towards the net until I felt two hands spun me around. 'Harry' I laughed as he lifted me off the ground. When he'd place me back on the ground I turned to see him laughing as well. 'Look, he scored' Harry pointed at Jacob and I realised he was in the net with the soccer ball.

'Lunch's ready' Zayn yelled.

After lunch I went upstairs to get the children's things. Harry came with me as the twin's belongings where in his room. 'Thanks for looking after them' I said as we entered his room. 'No worries, I had so much fun' he smiled. 'Well here's their things' I followed him towards the bed that was flooded with bags.

'What's this?' I asked. 'I bought the twins a couple of things' he said as we sat on the bed. 'I gave you one bag and you give me back 100' I chuckled. 'I wasn't sure what their favourite colour was or what their favourite toy, so I just bought a variety' he explained.'You didn't have to buy all these' I told him. 'But I wanted to' he replied. 'You bought a lot' I emphasised. 'That's not enough for the 11 months I've missed out with them' he responded and our eyes met. There was silence between us, as if the world continued to revolve on its axis but we stayed lingering in the moment.

'Here wanna have a look' he grabbed some of the bags. 'These are Taleiah's' he took some pretty clothes out of the bag. 'And I bought a lot of toys as well' he showed me. 'She loves animals' I told him (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=81465736).'And then I bought Jacob some sport stuff and toys as well' he said (http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=81465884).'Thank you' I flashed him a smile and again we were caught in the moment of silence as our eyes interlocked.

'Ahem'I broke off the stare and looked away as I cleared my throat. 'Umm, have you got plans for the twins birthday next week?' his question took me by surprised.

'How did you know?' I turned back to him

'Zayn told me' he divulged.

'Umm not sure yet' I replied.

'Well I was thinking maybe we can take them to Disney Land' he suggested with excitement.

'Where going to be in LA next week for work but will be done by Thursday. So we got the weekend off, so we should celebrate their birthday all together. The girls are coming down with us as well, it'll be fun, having the whole gang there. Then after we should....'I watched him as he enthusiastically shared with me his plans.

'Umm, I'll let you know' I muttered.

'Okay, sure' he smiled.

'Well, we better go' I stood up to grabbed the bags and Harry helped. We placed the things in the car while the girls buckled up the twins in the car. 'Bye Sammie' the girls took their turns to hug me before retreating to the house.

'By the way, this is from my Mum' Harry flashed me a smile as he handed me a small white envelope. I gladly took it but didn't open it in front of him. 'Alright you two, be good with your Mum' he leaned inside the car and gave each twin a kiss on the forehead. He came back out and we said a final goodbye. 'Take care' he smiled. 'You too' I replied. He opened the door for me and I hopped into the driver's seat. He closed the door and I placed my seat belt on. As I started the car, Harry stood back from the vehicle.

'Harry' I heard Taleiah say.

'What...'I mumbled in a frightened tone. Hearing his name come out of her mouth, was like waking up from a dream with a heavy gasp because no amount of oxygen can restore your breathing again. I turned around and Taleiah was looking out the window to Harry.

'Mummy, Harry' she pointed to him.

She knows his name.
