Samantha's POV:
'You okay?' Anna asked as the car pulled up the familiar drive way.'Yeah' I forced a smile out. 'We should come up with like an emergency code, in case we want to do an emergency run' she suggested .'How about...hmmm' she placed a finger on her chin. 'Ohhh! How about tubby custard?' she suggested. 'Tubby custard?' I raised an eyebrow at her suggestion. 'Yeah. You know the one they have on teletubbies and they always make a mess and it ends up a disaster' she explained. 'Anna, you've been spending too much time with the twins' I laughed at how observant she became of children programs.
'Come on' I sighed before unbuckling my seat belt then doing the children's. Tom my driver/bodyguard opened the car door and Anna and I brought the children down. Anna rang the doorbell and we waited for someone to greet us.
'SAMMMIEE!' Gemma yelled in excitement when she saw me. 'Hey Gemma' I let out a small laugh as she threw herself at me. 'Aww their adorable' she pulled away from the hug and bended down to the twins. Taleiah flinched away and hid behind my leg. 'Sorry Gem, their really shy around new people' I explained. 'Oh that's okay' Gemma smiled. 'Taleiah, Jacob' I squatted to talk to them. 'This is Aunt Gemma. Wanna give her a wave' I waved my hand for them to mimic. The twins mimicked my movement and waved at Gemma. 'Ohhh' Gemma stroke their cheeks. 'Sorry we're late' I apologised. 'That's okay, everyone's really excited to see you all. Let's go outside' she smiled and led the way to the backyard. I held the twins at either side while Anna and Tom followed behind. As we neared the sliding doors, I could see both my family and Harry's family around the table engaged in multiple conversations. It was one of those image you wish you can capture and display as a family portrait. I remember the last time our families gathered like this..... it was at our engagement party.
'Everyone guess who's here' Gemma announced as soon as we stepped out of the house. Immediately, everyone turned towards us, with faces filled with excitement as their eyes lit up like Christmas lights. 'Sammie' Anne approached us. 'Hi Anne' I smiled at her and we hugged. I pulled away from the hug and looked down at the twins. 'Taleiah, Jacob remember grandma Anne' I pointed at Anne. 'Wanna give grandma a hug?' I asked. Anne kneeled on the floor and open her arms. The twins slowly approached her and she took them in for a hug. 'I've missed you both already' Anne said as she rubbed the twins back.
'Come on Nan and Pop are excited to see you guys' Anne stood up. 'Mummy' the twins both turned towards me. I think they were still a bit frightened by the new surrounding. I lifted Taleiah up and held Jacob's hand. 'Samantha dear' Matt and Vivian greeted as we approached the table. 'Hi Vivian, hi Matt' I smiled as my hands were occupied to exchanged hugs or shake hands. 'Ohh, they're adorable' Harry's Nan looked like she was gonna tear up. I took a deep breath and introduced the twins. 'This is Jacob Matteo' I stroked Jacob's hair. 'And this is Taleiah Jennavive' I turned to face Taleiah. 'Vivian, Sammie combined our names for Taleiah's middle name' my Nan explained to her. 'Likewise with ours Matt' my Pop told him. 'Ohh, dear that's very thoughtful, thank you' Vivian smiled. 'Alright come take a seat, you guys must be hungry' Anne told us. 'Can we have the children with us for now?' Gemma eagerly asked. 'Um suree' I nodded. 'Come on Jacob' Anne gently tugged his hand and he happily followed her. 'Alright Taleiah' I began to untangle her arms from my neck and passed her to Gemma. 'Mummy! Mummy!' she shouted, refusing to be separated from me. 'I'm sorry, she's a bit of a difficult one 'I took her back in my arms and she stoped shouting. 'Oh that's okay, I'll just seat next to her then' Gemma smiled.
I turned around and followed Anna to the empty seats. 'Hi Sammie' Allanah greeted me with a kiss as I took the seat next to her. 'Hi baby' I replied as we exchanged kiss. I sat next to her and placed Taleiah on the other seat next to me while Gemma sat on the other seat next to Taleiah. I grabbed some food for myself and picked out food that Taleiah was able to eat. 'Here Gem wanna feed her?' I offered the bowl. 'Yes please!' she eagerly took the bowl. 'Sammie, can we swap seat? I wanna seat next to Taleiah, please!' she flashed me her irresistible smile. If I agreed to her request, I would putting myself next to the person I've been trying avoid eye contact with since I've arrived.
'Sure' I sighed and we exchanged seats.
Harry and I sat next to each other, inches apart. But yet I felt the distance between us was far greater.
Harry's POV:
It's been two hours since Sammie has arrived here....and neither of us has said a word to each other. 'Sammie, love, you have to bring the twins to Australia and get them to cuddle a koala' her Mum told her. 'Allanah wanted to buy one as a pet' her Dad laughed. 'Ohh really' Sammie laughed. 'They're really soft and fluffy' I joined the conversation. 'Anna, did you bring, the twin's bag?' Sammie began a conversation with Anna. 'And their quiet heavy as well' Tania continued the conversation. Everytime I would try to join in the conversation, Sammie would always leave the convo and start another one with someone else.
You might think she was being rude but I understand that she had her reasons to avoid me. But I just wished that she give me a chance to explain to her. 'Okay photo time' Mum called out. She brought Jacob with her as she walked passed us. 'Here Gem, me first' she gave the camera to Gemma and placed both twins on her lap. '1,2,3...'Gemma counted. A smile spread across my face as I saw how happy Mum was with her grandchildren. 'Okay, Sammie, Harry it's your turn' Mum said. Gemma took Taleiah off Mum and placed her on Sammie's lap. Likewise, Mum stood up and passed me Jacob and I sat on him on my lap. Gemma ran to the other side of the table to take the photo. 'Alright, ready..'Gem looked through the lens.
'One...'she counted.
I wore my best smile to show how happy I was to be in this moment.
'Two...' she called out.
A moment with my family that I wanted to linger in forever.
'Three...' the camera flashed.
And the moment was captured, to be remembered.
'Okay, I think the twins want some milk' Sammie hurried to get up as soon as the photo was done. 'I'll come inside with you' Gemma volunteered taking Jacob from me. They both left with the twins and headed inside the house.
'Is my sissy mad at you?' Allanah turned to ask me.
'Umm..I'm not sure' I muttered.
'Did you do something wrong?' she questioned.
'I hope I didn't' I replied.
'Do you still love her?' she pressed on. '- Allanah' Tania interrupted.
'You know she was crying when we came home' Allanah continued. 'It makes me sad when Sammie is sad' she expressed in a miserable tone.
'- Sweetie do you want some more ice cream' Tania tried to diverge her attention. 'Yes please' Allanah replied and began a conversation with her Mum.
I got out of my seat and went inside the house. I followed where the laughing was coming from and found Sammie and Gemma in the kitchen. 'I think she needs to get changed' Sammie laughed. Taleiah had milk spilled on her clothes. 'I'll do it' Gemma offered. 'Hey brother' Gem greeted when she saw me. 'Come on baby, lets go get you changed' she left the kitchen with Taleiah. I slowly advanced towards Sammie, who was carrying Jacob in her arms. She hurried as she packed up the baby drink bottles. 'Can we-' I began to speak but she cut me off. '-I better go check if Gemma needs help' she flashed a small smile and left the room.

After Gemma had gotten Taleiah changed we went back outside and joined everyone else. I went up to Anna and whispered to her our emergency code. 'Huh?' she asked with a confused expression across her face. 'Tubby custard' I whispered a little louder. 'OOHH! Got it' she uttered as she had a sudden realization. 'I'll tell Tom to go wait in the car now and I'll meet you there with the twins' she told me. 'Okay thanks!' I replied. I went to say bye to Anne and Harry's grandparents while Anna tried to take the twins from Gemma, who hesitated to surrender.
I went back inside the house and packed the twin's belonging . When I was done, I draped the baby bag on my shoulder and held on to my handbag. I made my way to the car and jumped in the back seat next to the twins car seats. 'Tom, will just wait for Anna to bring the twins then we can go' I told him as I put my seat belt on.
'Whatta-' I muttered as Tom began to drove off. 'Tom?' I uttered but he didn't reply back. I unbuckled my seat belt and leaned forward towards the drivers seat.
'What? You!?' I gasped in shocked when I saw a different driver.'Wait, what are you doing ??' I questioned him.
