Harry followed me to the nursery showing me where everything we. I found a blanket and placed it over the upper half of Darcy, hiding my following actions. I tugged my top up and my bra strap down, revealing my boob. I held her head up as she found my nipple, her cries instantly stopping though a few whimpers were there at the beginning. The action felt weird but natural, not bothering me as much as I thought it would have. I sat in the rocking chair, gently rocking her has she fed.
“I’ll tell them you’ll be out in a while. Let me know if you need anything.” Harry said. I nodded my head and smiled gratefully at him and watched him leave the room.
I sat in the rocking chair, moving the blanket away a little so I could watch her. She was the cutest little thing. One of her little hands was gripping at the blanket, twitching every now and again. I watched her has she fed, little quiet grunts being made as she swatted her hand once. I smiled to myself. I still can’t believe they are here. Just a few hours ago I was in the hospital.
She moved away from my chest, signaling that she was full. I fixed my shirt to its original position and placed the blanket over my shoulder, laying her against it as I patter he back until she burped. Luckily she didn’t spit up on me, making me extremely happy even though I knew she probably will later on when it settles. She started gurgling and baby talk, making me smile as I made my way back into the living room. Once again, Niall was the first to claim her, literally hissing at Ariel as she reached for him.
Louis was currently holding Dylan, making baby sounds back at him, giggling. I watched them for a second before Sarah started to complain about how she hasn’t held him yet and that Louis was hogging the child. They got into an argue about it, making Dylan tear up. I quickly took my child, scolding both of them for making my baby cry. I managed to quiet him down, walking around the living room as I hummed.
“I told you they was going to be the sexiest babies on earth. And look who was right.” Louis said, making me laugh. I shook my head at him, somehow knowing he was going to say something.
“Well, I was right! They are the prettiest babies I’ve ever seen.” Louis said, trying to snag Darcy out of Niall’s grip. Niall turned his back towards Louis, refusing to give her up.
“Oh, come on, Niall. You can’t keep her all to yourself.” Louis said, reaching around Niall.
“Now you know how I felt.” Sarah said smugly from her seat. Louis shot her the finger, making me giggle at their little squawk.
“She’s mine.” Niall said, walking quickly away from Louis, towards Harry. I watched Harry lean over and take her from the blonde, making him pout.
“Wrong. She’s mine.” Harry said, grinning at Niall. Niall stuck his tongue out at him before looking down at Darcy.
“Say that’s okay. I’ll just have you again tomorrow.” Niall spoke as he lightly rubbed Darcy’s tummy with his finger. She just opened her mouth, yawning as Dylan began to whine.
“Ah, I think I know what that is. He needs to be fed and she needs to be put to bed.” Harry said, motioning to the nursery. I nodded my head in agreement, thanking everybody for showing up, with the exception of Niall, Anna and Gemma, who were staying here for the next couple of days.
I was in the nursery feeding Dylan as Harry managed to get Darcy to sleep while telling everybody goodnight and walking them to the door. Dylan was in the middle of being burped when Harry came into the room, placing Darcy in one bed as the nurse had instructed him during the last visit at the hospital. Once she was out he put a light cover over her and quietly talked to me until Dylan fell asleep. I placed him in the other crib and covered him up, kissing both of their foreheads before shutting off the light. Just as I was about to walk out of the door something caught my eye, making me stop. A tiny night light was in one corner, giving off a bright glow. It wasn’t bright enough to wake the babies but it was bright enough so you could see the little cut outs as it spun, showing different baby toys. I smiled at the small thing and walked down the hall. Harry was already in the living room, cleaning up a few things that people had drug out an never put back. A small walkie-talkie looking thing was sitting on one table beside the sofa, a green light telling me it was on.
“It’s a baby monitor. It let’s us hear what’s going on in the nursery and it even tells us if one of the babies stop breathing.” Harry said, plopping down on the soft cushions. I sat down in a chair, tucking my legs underneath me.
“I know what a baby monitor is, Harry. You don’t have to explain it to me.” I said lightly. He chuckled a nodded his head, his cheeks turning a little pink. It was adorable.
“So, when it Liam going to be here?” He asked, his face sort of going serious. I checked the time. It was almost eight.
“I don’t know to be honest. I’ll call him if you want me to.” I offered, feeling a little sad though. I didn’t want to leave just yet.
“Nah, you don’t have to. I was just wondering.” he said. I nodded my head as a thick silence settled between us, the baby monitor quiet as well.
“You wanna watch a film?” Harry offered after a minute, pointing to the t.v. I nodded my head and moved to the couch as he turned the t.v on and placed in a dvd. He turned out all the lights and settled in at my feet, letting me lay out. The movie began and I was out.
