We need to talk

Parents

Lily:
So I've been in town 3 weeks now. And I fucking love it here, even though I thought I wouldn't. Liam asked me to be his valentine this year and I was so excited. I think he could tell that I was really happy. So we are going out for dinner at this fancy restaurant tonight. I have no clue what to wear or anything, I'm hoping that tonight will be great!
Liam:
so tonight's the night that I will be alone with Lily, I really don't want to fuck it up. She is so sweet and I feel like if something goes wrong my chances with her are ruined. Everything better be perfect because I have a wicked important question for her, but first I have to get ready and run to the store to pick up flowers for her and her mother, because I want her parents to like me.
Lily:
I am wicked nervous for tonight, I have no clue what to wear, how to do my hair, or anything. My mom is helping me get ready and I can't thank her enough because I sure as hell wouldn't be able to look this good by myself. I'm wearing a light pink dress with white polka dots on it. My hair is half up that flows into a braid. Mom did my makeup for me and all I can say is "damn! I look fine."Liam is getting me around 6 he said.
Liam:
It's 5:45 so I quickly throw on a pair if khakis and a sweater. I brush my hair, jump in the car, and I'm off. The store is on the way to Lily's house, so I get a bouquet of pink roses with a single red rose, and a bouquet of yellow roses. I'm praying that Lily and her mom will like them. I pull up to this brown house with black shutters, it's freaking adorable! I grab the bouquets and go up to the front door. I can feel my heart racing. I knock a few times and her father opens the door.
"Hello Mr. Fare"
Mr. Fare ( Lily's dad):
" hello, you must be Liam, I have heard wonders about you. I have never seen my daughter so happy before."
Liam:
" yes I am. I'm glad Lily has talked about me, you know your daughter is a wonderful person. And I'm so happy that she is happy."
Just as I finish I see Lily walk down the stairs, you would have thought she was going to prom or something. She was glowing and when I say glowing I mean she is stunning.
I hand her the pink and single red roses. As a smile connected from ear to ear I knew she was happy.
Her mom walked in the room and I can tell where Lily got her looks from.
" hello mrs. Fare"
Mrs. Fare:
" hello Liam, well what I have heard about you is all positive things! "
Liam:
" I'm glad!"
I hand mrs. Fare the yellow roses.
Mrs. Fare
" oh you shouldn't have! Thank you so much."
Liam:
" it was my pleasure. Lily are you ready to go?"
Lily:
" ...y..e..s I am. Bye mom. Bye dad. "
I was so nervous but I know I can do this. Liam opens the door to his car for me, I didn't realize how much of a gentle men he was. We drive until we get to the restaurant. I can feel the butterflies in my stomach flying.
Liam:
I grab Lily's hands and look her in the eyes,
" are you ready Lil?"
Lily:
I smile and reply " yes I am"
Liam comes over and opens the door for me. He grabs my hand and we walk to the doors of the restaurant . I love it when he holds my hand, I feel like we are a part of each other.
