Back Again

Harry's POV

I watched as Hayden's eyes fluttered to a close, it was 12:45 am. "I am going to go and call everyone a make sure they are on their way." I nodded to everyone as walked out of the room. I pulled out my phone as I closed the door and dialed the number to Louis' phone. All it took was half a ring for him too pick up.

L: Hello?
H: Lou, it's me. Are you guys on your way?
L: On our way where?
H: The hospital.
L: Why would be going to a hospital?
H: Don't be stupid. There was an accident. The hospital said they would call emergency contacts. Maddie should've gotten a call or something. This was like 2 hours ago...
L: We never got a call we've just been watching movies... What kind of accident?
H: Put Maddie on the phone.... Actually put it on speaker... And make sure everyone is listening.
L: Ok... One minute
Louis took the phone away from his ear, there was some muffled sounds, a beep, turning the speaker on. "Hey guys come here, Harry has something to say." He said.
L: Ok we are all here.
H: Ok, I don't have the best news ever...
Maddie: Harry, what is it?
H: Um well Hayden was in an accident
Maddie: WHAT?!
H: Yeah, the hospital said she would call her emergency contacts, like 2 hours ago, no one came and so I called and Lou said that none of you had heard anything..
Maddie: They said they would call mer emergency contacts?
H: Mhm
Maddie: Shit. Those are our parents. She isn't really on the best terms with them right now. What kind of accident. I mean it couldn't have been that bad... right?
H: You guys might want to come down here. Just see her and talk to her doctor. It isn't pleasant...
Maddie: O... ok we will.... be down there soon.
I hung up the phone. I did not want to be the one to tell any of them that but at least they will be here soon. I walked back into the room and went to Hayden's side and grabbed her hand. "You can't take this away from her." I say. "She loves what she does too much. To take this away from her, it would be like taking... like taking her away from me... you can't do that to her." I finished.

"Harry, this isn't a decision that includes you... we have to do this for her own good." Dani says.

"I may not be a part of this investigation, but I am as much a part of this decision as anyone, you take this away from her, and you take her away from me." I say "Look, if you aren't going to listen to me, at least wait for her before you make this decision. Don't just drop a bomb like this on her." I say. They all look at eachother.

"I agree with Harry, she should at least get to decide if we do this or not." Kirstin pipes up. I give her a grateful nod.

"Fine, but I still think we should just pull the plug on the case, it's just too dangerous." Dani says.

"You're going to stop the investigation?" a voice says from the doorway. Cam. "Where's Hay..." his eyes land on me. He strides over and sits at her other side. "You can leave now. The rest of us are here."

"I think I'm going to stay, considering I was there at the time of the accident." I say tightly, I don't like this guy. Suddenly everyone else is rushing into the hospital room, making it feel very cramped and tight. I held onto Hayden's hand tighter than before as everyone crowded around her bed.

"What, what happened?" Maddie choked out.

"We were in the building, it was just chaos. We split up to check the rooms. We all thought they were clear. Then people started screaming, Hayden was shot, Kirstin was stabbed. Dani, Jessie, and Harry were tied up and attacked with chloroform. As we we beginning to leave, a bomb went off. There was a fire. Hayden was unconscious and she was thrown around, the rest of us were able to protect ourselves but Hayden couldn't and she suffered the most. The doctors say it would have been worse, but Harry went straight into a fire to get her out. If it hadn't been for him, she might not be her." Dani said. Maddie rushed over and hugged me and whispered in my ear.

"Thank you so much, I am so sorry I ever said that I would be watching you. You deserve Hayden." Cam glared at me and I couldn't help but feel better.
