Back Again

Hayden's POV

I felt fire in my body, a burning sensation ran through my veins. I felt faint, I wanted to fall but I knew I couldn't. There were screams. Footsteps. I didn't know how bad my injury was but I did know that before I was shot, other people we getting hurt. When you have a job like mine, its your partners before yourself. I knew that no matter the cost I had to go and find someone else. I stumbled out of the room. "Hello?" I said probably too loud but all of my senses were affected and I didn't have control over anything. I knew that they were still here, but what if those men took everyone away, left me here to die? "Hello?" My voice called. My ears were ringing, I could smell smoke. I finally exited the room I was in. The main room. I saw Will kneeling next to Kirsten's body, I saw blood, I saw smoke. "Will?" I called out hoarsely. He turned to me, tears streaked his dirty face. "Where are the others?"

"I'm not sure." The he scanned the rest of my body, seeing the hole the bullet created in my body. "Hayden?! Are you ok?" He ask immediately rushing to me.

"Ya, I'll be fine." But even as I said it I could feel myself slowly losing consciousness. I rested my hand on his shoulder. "What, what's wrong with Kirsten?"

"She and I had come out here when we heard the scream, then the next thing we know there's a gun shot and she got stabbed. It's not too bad. It was just her leg but she fell when she got stabbed and passed out."

"Where are the... Where are the others." I said, my breathing becoming labored.

"I don't know, Hayden are you sure your ok?" My lips pinched together, I nodded my head gently, once down and then back up again, it was all I could manage. "Sit down." I nodded again as we made our way over to Kirsten's body for me to rest. As we walked up I could feel my legs give way. "Hayden?! Hayden!" The last image I can remember was Will's face looking down at me frightened. Who could be so capable of such destruction.

Will's POV

"Hayden?! Hayden!" I shouted as she glided down to the ground. I needed to find the others and get them out of here. I myself was only slightly hurt. I don't think they were counting on two of us being in the same room. "Dani, Jess?! Harry?!" I shouted walking around to the other rooms. I entered one to find Dani tied to a chair gagged. She looked up the second she heard my footsteps. "Dani?" Her eyes were shining with tears. "Dani." I gasped and rushed to her chair. I quickly pulled out the gag and began to untie the knots.

"Will, who got shot, who did you find, who is there?" She began to say rapidly.

"Hayden was shot." She let out an exasperated cry. "Kirsten was stabbed. I wasn't hurt, thank God otherwise we would all be like this. I don't know where Jess or Harry are."

"They are together."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I was with them and then we split up. They went into the room next to this one."

"Ok." I finished untying her knots. "I'm going to go see if I can find them, will you be ok?" She nodded rubbing her wrists. "Hayden and Kirsten are in the big room. We should begin to try and get them out of here. Hayden passed out before I came looking. Kirsten hit her head so she may or may not be awake." She nodded again and I left the room and went to the next one. What I saw was astonishing. Jess and Harry were there. They were slumped against the wall. Clearly unconscious from something. Then I saw a white cloth, the were chloroformed. I strode over to the rag and sniffed it at a distance. I began to bring the cloth closer to my face. I couldn't smell the chloroform until it was about half and inch away from me. Well that's good. They should be up soon, only a small amount of chloroform. As I thought that they began to stir.

"Will?" Jess said looking up at me.

"Hey, we have to go. We got into a lot of trouble. Hayden's been shot and Kirsten isn't doing to well either."

"Hayden's been shot." Harry asked, his face falling. I could tell he felt something for her. I frowned and nodded.

"We have to get out of here. Come help me." They both stood up and walked with me into the main room. Dani was above Hayden, still lying on the ground. She was our responsibility and we let her get injured. Kirsten had awoken but barely. "Kirsten... Are you ok, how are you feeling."

"Oh, well I've just been stabbed, can't really feel my leg. Got a killer headache but other than that I am doing jolly good." She said grimacing. We all laughed slightly.

"Can you stand?" Dani asked.

"Just barely. I need someone's help." Dani rushed to her side and helped support her.

"Jess, can you help me carry Hayden out?"

"I'll help." Harry offered.

"Harry, although that's nice. Hayden is our responsibility, we will carry her out." Jess responded for me." She walked over with me to Hayden's body and grabbed her legs. I put one arm under her head and the other under her torso and we began to walk to the exit. Dani helping Kirsten and Harry ready to help them incase it got bad.

Hayden's POV

After what seemed for forever, my eyes fluttered open slightly. I knew this was going to be a little glance of reality before I slipped back into unconsciousness. Will was at my head. Jess at my feet. Dani and Kirsten were walking in front of us, with a limp. Harry was next to them. After what felt like forever, we finally made it to the exit door and walked out into the sunshine. Just as we were free, something happened. We were making our way down the steps when an explosion occurred, something unanticipated. I felt my body being flung from the grasp of Will and Jess and thrown onto the rough pavement. My head hit with a slam and the light's went out.
