Scarlett’s Pov

We sat around the campfire.

“You know I just realized something, you guys are a band and I have never heard you sing.”

Louis laughed

“Why don’t you sing for me” I said

“we have no instruments” Niall shrugged

“do it accapella” I responded

“I don’t want to” Niall pouted “ we need to make a makeshift guitar or something!”

I laughed and walked into nick’s old tent it still smelt like him-it was nasty- I swear he probably never washed his clothes. I grabbed the guitar and walked out.

I handed it to Niall.

“I provided a guitar, your provide entertainment”

he sighed “okay fine, what song we gonna sing mates?”

“Little things,” Zayn said

Niall began to play a beautiful melody and they began to sing.


When they finished I was practically in tears, “That was so beautiful” I sniffed tears falling

“aww Scarlett!” Liam hugged me

“I knew you could sing like a god but I mean like what the fuck guys!” I said to Liam and then turned to the boys “Zayn you have a fucking angel voice! Liam I already knew you could sing but still!” I wailed

“And you” I said gesturing to Louis “Sing with a fucking accent! Do You know what that does to me?!?”

“Niall, You sing with an accent too like holy fuck- dear god save me!”

“And you Harry HOLY FUCK your voice is so raspy and sexy I’m fucking dying! An you can harmonize beautifully”

I got up

“Were are you going?” Harry asked

“I’m leaving!” I shouted “ you’ve all sexually frustrated me more than ever and now I want to go get fucking Naked! Im having hot flashes like Tha Fuck?!?!”

Harry started laughing.

“Don’t laugh at me you PENIS!” I walked up to him and slapped him playfully he tugged me down to him and held me in his arms.

I laughed at him.

“we sang and now you have too” harry nudged me with his nose.

“No” I said quickly shaking my head

“You can sing Scarlett?” Niall Asked

“I’ve been told I can” I replied “ mind you I don’t think I can I sound like a dying walrus- not that its going to stop me”

“Why’d you never tell me you could sing?” Liam asked slightly wounded

“I didn’t think it was important” I said truthfully “ I thought you would rather know that I can do a lot with medicine and traps… I didn’t think it would hurt you if you didn’t know…”

“It didn’t” Liam said coolly “It’s just that when you’re in a relationship, you tell the other person your hobbies.”

“That’s the thing Liam” I shot back “That’s not my hobby anymore I have no hobbies. It’s all about survival, only survival. What I used to do is irrelevant now.”

Liam looked at me “What the hell Scarlett people build up relationships with this, hobbies, likes, dislikes, things that annoy them. I know nothing about you!”

“You know what infuriates me Liam? Hm?” I asked, “You, you aren’t my dad and you aren’t Nick stop trying to take their place. Stop!”

Liam pressed his lips into a straight line and nodded. His eyebrows furrowed.

“Looks like someone’s gonna get some good make up sex” Louis winked

Harry stiffened beside me.

“No he definitely won’t” I spat

“OUUUUUU” Zayn Louis and Niall said

“Well mate you’re fucked” Louis said again

Niall began to laugh, his laugh was just go contagious, I started laughing too and by the end each of us were doubled over stitches in our sides.

“Scarlett” Niall said after a moment “please sing a song for us, just one”

“Fine” I sighed

Everyone sat there you could hear the crickets emerging.

“I know it’s not good but-” I began

“Shh” Harry said, “That was the most striking thing I’ve ever heard…”

“It was beautiful,” Zayn whispered softly

Even the Louis-the fantastically obnoxious Louis stopped and stared at me “Scarlett you have some real talent, It was so amazing, I just cant fathom how you think that would be bad. It was heavenly”

I nodded, and swallowed. “I guess I should’ve tried out for X-factor or something huh?”

Liam smiled.

I averted my eyes from him.

“It’s getting late” Louis said, “We should all go to bed.”

“We need to go move into town” I said, “the walkers are getting much to close for comfort.”

They nodded

“We’ll think of a plan tomorrow” Liam said, “right now we all need to sleep.”

“I’m staying up for like 15 minutes” I said

“I’ll stay up with you” Liam said

“No you won’t Liam” I said, “You’ll go sleep in the tent.”

“Will you come in after” he asked softly

“I have nowhere else to go.” I replyed

“Goodnight Scarlett” they smiled. I hugged them all.
