I stayed there and just looked over the edge… God we’re screwed.

“Hey” someone muttered behind me

I looked around to find the voice quickly. Harry was on his hands and knees dropping to his belly like me.

He looked over the edge and gulped “We’re screwed they’re everywhere.”

“I know” I said, “I’m hoping for a way out. Look around Haz, Think.”

We looked at each other at the same time. A light bulb above our heads.

“Are you thinking what I’m thinking?” He asked

“Well that depends does are you thinking that Zombies can’t look up too far because they’re muscles in their necks are broken?”

He looked at me and nodded.

“Okay” I whispered to the boys “we are going to cross quietly, and then climb up that ladder over there. It’ll take us to the catwalk; it’ll have to be single file. The catwalk leads over there” I pointed with my finger “that is approximately the handicap washroom, there is a window a tad bit further- it leads outside so we get down right there, do you understand?”

They nodded.

We began our trek; with a twist we formed a pulley system to get the dead zombies to the top. I got Liam to climb up first and me to follow him Harry Louis, Niall and Zayn stayed bellow and began to put two of the zombies into the pulley system we got them up and removed them. The rest of the boys came up and we made our way over to the end of the catwalk. The zombies were their just incase, they blocked our sent with decay.

The catwalk came out in a window that was opened and led outside. The window had a small waist height bar on it to ensure no one fell out.

“I’ll go down first.” I said

Liam nodded he tied the rope around my waist and tied the other side of the rope to a thick steal square rod on the other side of the catwalk. My heart began to beat, knots of nerves nestled themselves into the pit of my stomach. I grabbed the handle and put one leg over the edge so I was straddling the railing I placed my foot back on the platform of the window and brought my together foot to the outside so I was no longer standing in between the railings but now on the outside of Costco.

I took a shaky breath and looked at Liam. He looked worried he took two steps towards me and pulled me into a hug – one arm around him and one on the railing. I made eye contact with everyone else, slowly deliberately stopping at each one, memorizing their faces because this could essentially be the last time I saw them. If the rope broke… I was dead and they were trapped.

I quickly did my cross, sending a payer to god and grabbed the cross on my neck bringing it to my lips. Sealed with a kiss.

“Scarlett” Harrys voice caught me by surprise he was making his way through the rest of the boys.

He came up to me and grabbed both sides of my face and kissed me passionately, I didn’t kiss back “be careful,” he whispered our foreheads touching.

I nodded and wiped my mouth on the back of my hand “I will Harry, I will”

Liam wrapped the rope twice around his forearm and his face palled and he nodded to me.
