One Thousand Songs Later

Lily's POV:

"I really don't want to talk about it." I whispered.

"Please miss, we know that Kyle has been holding you hostage for three years now, but why? And where did you go for those three years? What did you do?" Questioned the other.

"Look, we just want to know what charges to press against Kyle. Right now he's in jail but we need to know how many years he deserves in prison." Explained the first.

"Life sentence." Growled Zayn, all the other boys nodded.

"Could you at least tell us how he managed to kidnap you? Or did you go willingly?" Eleanor glared at the officers.

"Of course she didn't go willingly!" She shouted.

"Sometimes they do, sometimes they're threatened." Everyone turned to me and I took a shaky breath.

"I went on a walk and I walked down to a park. I laid in the grass for a little while, then I saw a truck pull up. Kyle got out and forced my mouth open and put something in it. And then- and then-." I stopped, not wanting to go on. I don't know why I couldn't discuss those three years, maybe it was all in my head. But really, I was scared. I was scared that if I told the police, Kyle would do something to hurt me again or my beloved family.

"Did you have anything on your walk?"

"I had a cheese it box, my beats, iPhone, and house key."

"You still have them?" I pointed to a plastic bag that I dropped by the door.

"Why didn't you call anyone?"

"Kyle reprogrammed my phone so I could only listen to music."

"Calling all officers to downtown immediately, this is urgent! Downtown immediately!" Blared the on the walkie talkie on the officer's shoulder. The officers frowned.

"We need to go miss, but we need more information. The trial for Kyle doesn't start until you speak up! I expect information from you soon!" The officers ran out the door and zoomed away in their cars.

"Lily, can you tell us what happened?" Asked Niall.

"I-I can't." I mumbled.

"Please Lily, it's the only way that Kyle will get sentenced to prison." Stated Louis.

"I need time, I'm sorry." I ran upstairs, to the fourth floor. Everything was just as I remembered it. I walked into my bathroom and stripped down, getting into the shower. Kyle had let me take showers but mine was better, it was more welcoming and comforting. As I scrubbed away traces of Kyle's touch, I realized something. It was the first time I had cried in three years. I had broken my promise.

Applying some face soap on my forehead, I washed away all the dried tears as well. I intend to keep that promise. I turned the shower off and grabbed a towel. I wrapped it around my naked body and stepped out of the shower. I looked at myself in the mirror and shivered. The last time I had taken a shower, the towel went down to my ankles. Now it was just above my knees. I had grown more than I realized.

What am I going to wear? I thought as I walked out of the bathroom. There was pajama pants laying on the bed. Eleanor must of put them there. Drying myself off, I slipped on the pants and pulled on Harry's Holmes Chapel shirt. I walked into the bathroom and brushed my hair. I noticed that my clothes that I was previously wearing were gone. I shrugged, probably Eleanor.

Tucking myself into bed, I snuggled under my warm sheets, and forgot about the current situation, losing myself in a dreamless sleep.
