I opened my closet door, revealing hangers of clothes. I reached up and swiped through different shirts and sweaters before I picked which one I wanted then I grabbed a pair of ripped jeans.

I slipped on my brown boots; grabbed my backpack off the bed and slipped out my bedroom door.
I headed over to Harry’s door; knocking on it. “Harry…. get up time for school!”

I heard a groan before the sheets ruffled. I turned and headed downstairs. “Honey…. come eat your breakfast” mom called from the kitchen. She had the pan hanging over a plate about to slide on some eggs.

“Sorry mom, but I don’t want to be late” she gave up, putting the pan back on the stove she came over and gave me a hug; kissing me on the cheek.
“Bye sweetie have a good day” I turned and walked out the door.

I clicked the button on the side of my phone revealing the time *7:50* “uuugghh oh god” I hurried and walked down the sidewalk, trying to get to my bus stop.
I was a few feet away before I saw a big yellow automobile pass right by me.
I stopped right where I was watching all the eyes looking at me, judging me for being late to the bus.

“Shit!!” I checked the time on my phone again *7:59*
Schools starts at 8:20 but the drive there is at least 15 minutes long. Maybe if I jog it I can make it. I slid my phone in my pocket gearing up to run but I was startled by a loud honk. I turned around assuming the honk was for me.

I saw Harry pull up. Why is he always helping me when I’m stuck in a problem?
As I walked over to his window I kept replaying in my head-- Be nice. Be nice. Be nice!
“Hey Val….do you wanna lift?” I could barely hear him over the engine I walked closer to the window “Huh?”

“Do…you…want…a lift!” I shook my head yes as I rounded the corner of the car. As I climbed in I could see him fixing his hair; his normal shake-and-flip routine and straightening out his collar.

I sat there awkwardly as he started to drive.
“Hey you know that you could have asked for a ride?” he sincerely said
-Be nice. Be nice!- “Oh well good to know”

He smirked over at me before turning on the radio. The song “Isn’t she lovely” by Stevie Wonder boomed through the speaker system.

A smile smacked across my face as I turned towards Harry “Is….I didn’t know you listened to him…or this type of music”

He rubbed his bottom lip with his thumb “Yeah….my dad…..well our dad played it a lot when I was a kid. It sort of….grown on me”

He reached up turning down the volume a little bit “listen um…Val there’s a pool party tonight at my friend’s house. And…..I…I was…”
“Wondering if I wanted to go?” I finished the sentence “Yes” he responded looking at me happy to see what my reply was. “Um Harry how did you make friends that quick?”
He smirked “Well love…….we’ve been here for a week so….I’ve had plenty of time, plus nobody could look over this cutie”

He eyed himself in the review mirror. “Um….a little conceded don’t you think?”
He quickly glanced at me “What? Don’t you think you’re pretty?”
I twiddled my thumbs while staring out the window “Um…..I never really knew”
“What do you mean?” he gave me an innocent look; just as we pulled into the schools drive way.

“I mean nobody has ever called beautiful before except for my mom……but I never actually got the comment from somebody I didn’t know”
“Your beautiful” he interrupted me. I stood there feeling my cheeks get hot and my heart thump at 60mph. “Well….thank you Hazza”

“Hazza?” he said with amusement; he lifted his eyebrow and half smiled at me. He finally found a parking spot and rested the car there.
He turned off the engine “Mmmmm I like it…..I never been called that before”
We both climbed out the car. We walked over to the school, just as the bell rung. He opened the door, placing his hand on my back gesturing me in first.

I was sitting on my bed, getting mid-way through my homework. I finally had the solution to my Geometry math homework till Harry came rushing into my room; making me forget the answer “Shit!!”

I looked up; throwing my pencil at him. “Whoa…I’m sorry grouchy tiger”
He came and ran for my bed and plopped down beside me. Since I threw my pencil I decided to just try to go over the problem again.

He leaned in close to my face; trying to see my homework. “Whatcha doing?”
I pushed him a little bit away “It’s called a bubble…maybe you should use it”
He stuck out his tongue before getting up. No. No. No….come back lay close to me…you smell so good!

He grabbed my soccer ball out of my closet and played around with it; bouncing it off the tip of his toe and kicking it up on his knee “Your pretty…good”
He stopped; holding the ball against his hip “Is that a compliment…I thought I would never see the day….” He laughed –Oh his laugh, it’s so down to earth-

I got off the bed; walking over to him I lightly pushed him on the back. “You need to leave….I have homework and your distracting”
I kept pushing him till he was out the door. I walked over towards my bed as he stood in my door frame. “What?!!”

He took the ball now and spindled it around and around on his finger. “You didn’t answer my question today?”
“Ugghhh” I rolled my eyes “Yes! Yes I will go now leave….I have homework. And I believe so do you!” I picked up a pillow and threw it at the door. He slammed the door before it could hit him.

I sat there chewing on my bottom lip. Mmmmm a night with Harry? And he’ll be shirtless…..uugghh what am I talking about! He’s my brother! But were not related….technically!
