Chap. 5

Alex POV

I walked to my friends sitting on a floral blanket on the grass. I plopped myself down next to Joe and threw my bag next to me. I grabbed a free-range egg salad sandwich that was left on the tray and peeled the box open so that I could fill my grumbling stomach.

“What happened with the bitches,” Joe asked me as I began to fill my mouth with the sandwich.

“What,” I said as food was still stuffed in my mouth.

I head Katie and Joe erupt into a fit of laughter and I sat there awkwardly chewing my sandwich. I gulped down the food.

“The usual,” I replied back without food falling out of my mouth.

“Anywho, Alex you’re conducting the swim tryouts today right,” Katie questioned.

“Um, ya,” I replied back as I nibbled on my sandwich. I had been voted captain of the swim team last year. Katie, Shay, and Alexis were furious but I was honored that my coach would actually vote for me. So as captain, I would have to conduct tryouts and help the newbies get accustomed to the team. The team was year round and even if it was hard work, it was so worth it.

“So, please let me in,” I heard Katie and Joe exclaim in unison. I felt myself giggle.

“Both of you are killer swimmers. I would be complete idiots to not let you in. I just hope that there are some seniors that can swim so that Alexis and Shay don’t have to do it. Damn, they suck.”

We all nodded in unison as we all continued nibbling away at our lunches.

“Hey don’t you have a letter to pick up at 1pm.”

I suddenly remembered the letter I was supposed to pick up at 1 pm behind the stairwell.

“Right, thanks,” I said as I got up and grabbed my bag that I had hastily threw on the ground previously. I ran inside the school and slipped in sneakily so that nobody would see me.

Harry POV

Honestly, will people ever look at me as more than just THE HARRY STYLES, ONE DIRECTION SINGER. Will they never look at me as just Harry Styles, small town kid from Holmes Chapel. Obviously, nope. I found myself back at the little desk in the stairwell. I grabbed her note from my front pocket and began to scribble a note on the paper as fast as I could. Mostly, it was a thank you for actually being there and then I gave her my number. When I was done, I slipped my blue pen into my bag and stood at the walked to the top of the stairs. I decided that I could atleast know who my Cinderella is.

I head the door speak open, but before I could see who it was, Liam came running towards and grabbed my hand and lead my forcefully out of the stairwell.

Alex
I made my quickly into the stairwell, when I heard the door bang closed. I walked to the familiar run-down desk and found a piece of paper with blue ink left on the paper. I could see my familiar writing on the top I scanned the paper until I saw a more messy handwriting written with a bright blue ink.

I cannot describe to you how much you not coming to makeout with me or spread rumors that you have contact means to me. Honestly, I am tired of being the Harry Styles, one-fifth of One Direction. Sometimes I wish I could be just random old Harry Styles. The one that was a nobody before One Direction and X-factor. I don’t know about your life now, but I’m sure yours is a lot better than mine. Weirdly enough, Call me or Text my sometime. I would love to talk. My number: 233-989-1222

Leave the next note in an envelope titled Stylin on the fountain tomorrow morning before classes. I look forward to it.

I slipped the note into my Calculus notebook and walked out of the stairwell, allowing the door to silently shut behind me. I pulled out my phone from my bag and began typing away.

Harry POV

“Harry, WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN,” Liam yelled at me.

“I just needed some time alone,” I spat as I pulled the strap on my bag a bit higher on my shoulder.

“Yes, but you didn’t have to cause a ruckus,” Liam continued to argue.

“Liam, everywhere I go, I cause a ruckus. Whatever,” I replied as I walked away leaving Daddy Direction alone in the hallway. I walked to my next class as I felt a buzz in pocket. I pulled out my blackberry and found a new number flashing the screen.

“Hey Charming,” it read.
