Pages Of Pretend

Today is the day the shooting for the movie starts. Today is the day I begin working in my career to evolve. Today is the day I hope will change my life for good. But also today is the day I get to see Harry Styles again.

Everything seemed to be working just fine today until I remembered that last topic.
The last time I saw him was four days ago when we had that 'incident' also spelled as kiss. It was supposed to be a technical kiss like everyone does in the movies but I'm under the impression that it was nothing but technical and I can't seem to get that image of my head, the fresh taste of his lips , the softness of his tongue and the feeling it gave right in the stomach. I'm getting off topic...

He hasn't tried to contact since his outburst that day and I think I'm okay with that, I had two weeks to get used to the idea that I'm stuck with him and not the nice sweet guy I thought I'd find. It's for my career and I'll do whatever it takes.

"Good morning Mia." Robert greeted when I reached the studios.

"Hey Rob." I smiled. Rob is one of the nicest guys ever and I'm glad he's the one in charged of taking care of the main actors.

"Everything is ready for hair and make-up. It's that door over there." He pointed.

"Oh thank you. Is Harry here already?"

"I'm afraid I haven't seen him yet. But we only start shooting and two hours so eventually he'll come. You need more preparation than him for the hair and everything so I think the timing is good." He informed.

I hope he's right...

"Hello." I poked my head inside the door to see a blonde girl with lots of tattoos and glaced. Her clothes are a bit ripped, definitely not something I'd wear and I'm a bit scared that I'll put my hair and skin in her hands.

"You're Sophia!" She exclaimed. "You're even more beautiful than what the producers told me. I'm Anita." Maybe she's not that bad...

"Thank you. What's gonna happen to my hair?" I sat on the big chair.

"Oh nothing major, we're just gonna curl it in like big waves and your make-up to the minimum, some nude shadow and mascara." She informed.

I can live with that. I'm not the kind of person that uses make-up of styles her hair in the morning but I gotta say as Anita works my hair and make-up. I was so distracted talking to her that I almost fell of the chair when I looked in the mirror for the final result. I look so different yet the same. I can recognize me in the mirror but it's a much better and more beautiful version of me. Maybe I'll have to ask her some tips to use as my daily routine.

"Can I?" Rob entered the room. "Wow Sophia you look amazing!"

"Thank you." I smiled shyly

"Everything is ready for you, just put the clothes for the scene."

Anita showed me the wardrobe and another girl roamed through the immense clothes to hand me a flowered dress that ends mid-thigh and has a little more cleavage that I'd wear but as I try it on it looks perfect..

"Ready!" I told Rob once I left the prep for the shooting.

"Amazing, Harry's already on set for the shooting."

"He is? In a good mood or nah?" I felt the tingles in my stomach. The last thing I need is nerves right now!

"I've known Harry for a long time now and he used to be in a good mood all the time. That is until he was chosen for this movie against his will but today he seems to be good. He was laughing with Miranda."

"Oh Miranda is here?" I know she's the director of the movie but for some reason unknown I don't like her.

"Yeah. I don't know why really she doesn't have to but according to her is just to check on everything." Rob shrugged.

"Of course." I smiled.

"Here ya go."

He opened the door to the set that looks like a coffee. We're shooting a scene where Bea and Dylan are only friends but their chemistry is already evident. I hope Harry uses the tips the producers told us to make this work. I'm not letting him ruin it for me.
Speaking of the devil, he's standing on the counter dressed in normal pants and a blue shirt. He looks nice... What am I thinking!?

"We can start everyone!" Rob shouted.

In that moment Harry's head snapped up and his eyes found mine. I watched as he not so discretely checked me out, his eyes racking down my body before coming back up and gulping down.

"Hey." I told him.

"Hi." He cleared his throat.

"Do you know your lines?" I whispered but he merely rolled his eyes.

"Everyone's ready?" One of the camera men called our attention. Everyone nodded.

Robert went on a long rant of what we had to do and where we'd stand and Harry and I did a few camera tests. He was very polite surprisingly, never complaining once. Is he ok?

"Let's start everyone."

From the moment we started shooting I don't remember the time passing. We shot a couple scenes when Bea and Dylan are only friends so there wasn't any major contact between me and Harry. He was surprisingly good, I didn't know he could act. He was not bad when we were on rehearsals but nothing compared to what he is now. I have a feeling something's on with him. I just can't put my finger on what it is... He even smiled at me on out break between scenarios.
Before I realized it was 7 p.m. and we were being dismissed for the day.

"Good job everyone, amazing first day!" Some of the producers cheered.

"Sophia!" I must have heard wrong.

"Harry?" I turned around shocked to see him jogging trying to keep up with me.

"Did I drop something?"

"Ehm no? I want to talk to you."

"Okay?"

"Well I want to apologize for my behavior the other day. We're gonna spend everyday together for the next months now and I don't want this odd atmosphere between us..." He scratched the back of his neck. Is he okay!?

"You just realized that now?"

"Don't be difficult." He groaned. "I thought that's what you wanted too."

"It is but you were the one being difficult with the attitude..." I stated crossing my arms in front of my chest.

"And I'm the one with the attitude?" He raised his eyebrows matter of factly.

"Okay okay sorry. Will you stop being unpleasant to me?"

"Unpleas-- Hum, yeah..." He mumbled.

"Okay then." I smiled turning around.

"Okay? That's it?" He followed me anyways.

"What else do you want me to say? I'm committed to this movie one hundred percent and I'm glad you are too now."

"Oh. Are you going home now?"

"Yes, my dad's driver is coming to pick me up."

"I could drive you? My car is outside, you'd get there faster." He combed his hands through his hair.

"Are you sure?" That's odd.

"I just asked didn't I? I mean, uh yeah, I'm sure." He rephrased.

"Fine. I just need to change my clothes."

"I'll wait outside your dressing room." He informed leaning against the wall.

Now I know something is up with him. I get that he wants to have a good atmosphere... Well not really actually, since when does he care are about that?
He even apologized for his behavior, offered to drive me home and now is patiently waiting outside for me!? Maybe he just said that so I get out and he's already gone?

My thoughts are proven wrong when I step outside and see him in the same spot typing on his phone. Humm...

"Ready?" He shot me a small smile.

"Yes." I mumbled following him to the car.

"Here." He opened the passenger door for me to get in.

"Thank you."

"So what scene is it tomorrow?" He asked softly once he started driving to make conversation.

I eyed him suspiciously but answer nonetheless and the conversation flowed easily making me even more confused about him.
When we arrived my house he even stepped out to help me and gave a kiss on the cheek. That's when I knew something is wrong, he can't change like that in a matter of days.

Something happened and I'm gonna find out what is it... I just hope it isn't something that will hurt me in the process.
