In life, there are certain things you can't control. Like when a guy you like looks at you and butterflies erupt in your stomach. Or, like when you laugh at a funny joke that someone told you. But not all the uncontrollable things are so simple and easy. Like being sick.

It is what we do about those things that make us who we are. You choose how you act, no one else does it for you. You make your own decisions. And those things have consequences, like getting grounded when you're caught sneaking out after your curfew. Or breaking rules just to show how 'tough' you are.

It never helps to avoid these things because, well, they're unavoidable. You can't do anything to keep them from happening, and you can't stop them when they do. No matter how bad it is, or how much it hurts. There's nothing you can do.

But the worst possible thing that you can't control, is love. Stupid, stupid love. The feeling that makes you weak in the knees, head over heels for someone. You would do anything and everything just to make them happy. Even if they don't love you back, you still love them with all your heart. And there is no one who could change that.

It's uncontrollable. Unconditional. Undeniable.
