The new start
Chapter two, "My new home"
When the car stopped outside the apartment I actually felt a little bit of excitement. But it only lasted for a minute or two. I saw that mum talked about something but I couldn´t hear what she said. Maybe it was because I didn´t care or maybe it was because I was about to become crazy. I stepped out of the car and then I took a deep breath. It was as I finally got air in my lungs again and I heard what mum said. Maybe I wasn´t about to go crazy after all. Mum went over and over about how exciting all this was. Instead of listening I looked around. Then I realized that I was standing in the middle of a street. It was a lot of buildings around me and from here I could see a park. It looked nice. The perfect place to start a new life.
Mum and dad had picked a quiet place and I liked that, not to many kids and irritating people. I wanted so badly to just go to that park and sit there. But I know my mum wants me to help her with all the stuff and I had decided that I was going to be the nice kid around here so I picked up my bags and followed them to the stairs.
"This is perfect." Mum shouted when dad opened the door. Dad who had been quiet all trip just nodded. Mum seemed very angry about this and I just knew that the fights would start as soon as I touched my bed or if I even could find a bed.
The apartment was pretty big. It was seven rooms, a kitchen, a bedroom for me, a bedroom for mum and dad, a living room, a dining room, a bathroom and a hall. But their was no furniture at all. We had only brought our television and our clothes with us and my first thought was to yell at them for not bringing my bed. You see my bed is very important to me. But I reminded myself over and over again that I needed to be the nice kid. With that thought in my mind I gave them a fake laugh before I stepped inside to take a closer look on my bedroom.
My bedroom was bigger then home in Reading. It had blue walls and shining stars on the celing other then that it was just emptiness. But I didn´t care if it was a bed or not, I layed down on the floor and closed my eyes. I really needed to get some sleep. Maybe if I got lucky someone would shoot me while I was sleeping.
