The new start
Chapter seventeen, "The surprise"
Suddenly the coffee I ordered didn´t taste anything, my mouth felt dry and my brain stopped working. Should I speak to Chloe about it? Or maybe Louis? But what would I tell them? That someone was stalking me? Then they would ask all these questions I can´t hadle and I would end up telling them that I was a murderer. Then they would probably hate me and send me to prison. But the questions were killing me and I felt like I was going to crack. Why was someone stalking me? No I think I know that answer. But who was stalking me? Was it Summer? The thought of that gave me shivers. But the thought of that someone else did it was even scarier. Was it a murderer? Like me? Or maybe a serial killer? No it had to be Summer. Then the question is, how far would she go? Would she go the whole way like I did?
"No Amy, stop! That´s insane. She was your friend." I said to myself. But the word was repeated itself in my head. She WAS my friend. The time passes slowly by, but then the clock turned 16:50 and I needed to go. All thinking hadn´t help anything it had just made it worse. More questions just kept popping up in my head and I got farther and farther away from the answers. It was like I was stuck in a room where the walls just came closer and closer. One good thing though, I didn´t have the feeling that someone was watching me anymore. But there was a question there too. What was she doing if she was not watching me? When I got to the place where mum and I was supposed to meet she wasn´t there. The clock turned 17:01 then 17:02 then 17:03 and mum was never late. Never. Was my stalker after her now? Maybe she was dead by now and everything was my fault. But then I saw her with a brighter smile then ever. "Amy seriously? You need to calm down." The voice in my head was back and it was right. I really needed to calm down.
"Hello honey! Did you find everything?" Mum said and sounded happier then ever.
"Yeah I did. Did you buy a computer and a Tv for me like you said?" I asked and really hoped she had remembered it because I didn´t want to spend a minute more in this shopping centre.
"Yes, let´s go to the car. It´s been a tough day." Mum said and I thought she would give me a hug but instead she just gave me a pat on my shoulder and my heart broke.
"You have no idea." I whispered for myself but something in me wanted mum to hear and ask why.
"I´m sorry?" Mum asked and gave me the "pretend that I care look".
"No, nothing." I said and it felt like it was the biggest lie I had said, ever.
Mum was quiet the entire ride home and I didn´t mind. I used all my concentration on my thoughts. I really tried to remember more about the girl with the brown hair. Just something more, anything! But I didn´t, not a single thing. This sucked, I needed to talk to Chloe, it was the only opption. So when I got home I ran up to the highest floor where I knocked hard on her door. Chloe opened, which was a big relief.
"Hi, I need to tell you something now!" I gasped, really happy to see her.
"Amy hello! Not now. This is Rosie she came by earlier." Chloe said with her famous smile. But that wasn´t the thing that took my breath away. Rosie, it was not Rosie it was Summer.
