I heard Niall explaining what happened to me as I was half asleep.
"That takes skills," I heard Lauren say sarcastically. "She's something special alright."
"So she's a swimmer, and she dived backwards off the boat and hit her head?" Harry asked.
"Yeah. We were going to go snorkeling, but then she didn't come up for a little and I dove down and got her," Niall explained.
"Her coach would be so mad at her!" Lauren said. "She could be out for the season. And she's one of the best breaststrokers on the team!"
"She'll be okay," a man I assumed was the doctor said.
"Hi," my friends greeted him.
"Hello. And she can hear you, you know. She just can't respond. It's like a dream that's real," the doctor explained.
Huh. So that's what's going on!
Well, I kind of wish he hadn't said that because now they're not going to say things I want to hear. And Niall might have something to say to me.
"Oh, okay. Let's go Harry." Lauren said.
"Alright. Bye, Niall!" Harry replied.
"Bye, lad. Bye, love," Niall said. I was in love with his accent.
"If you can hear me," Niall began. "I had a great time. And maybe we can do a Take Two."
"Okay!" Oh no. Did I say that out loud?! Yes!
I heard Niall laugh. "So you can hear me."
"Yes. I can talk too. But I think I'm sleeping," I explained.
"Obviously." He chuckled.
I feel so blonde right now. Yup, that's me, just saying the obvious.
"Okay, so, do you want me to stay? Or should I go?" Niall asked.
"It doesn't matter. It's kind of fun having a conversation while I'm sleeping." I replied.
"Okay. I'll stay and keep you company then, Love," Niall took my hand.
"Thanks!" I tried to smile, but I'm not really sure if it worked.
"What are you doing?" Niall asked.
"Well, I'm trying to smile, but I don't think it worked. Did it?" I asked.
"No. It looks a bit like you're constipated." Niall laughed.
"Oh. Well, I'm smiling on the inside-literally," I said jokingly.
"Hah. Hah hah hah!" Niall did his cute little 'I'm laughing for no reason' laugh that I knew from all the videos I had seen.
I smiled on the inside then too.
