"Did I really just kick my father's ass?" I asked hoarsely.

"Yeah, you did." Harry had a big smile on his face and exhaled visibly. "Oh god, you had me terrified there for a moment."

"Well, I'm alive. Not very well, but alive." He looked at me lovingly and I saw my best friend in there. The one I didn't sleep with.

"Speaking of... could you get me some help? My side is burning like hell." I winced as I kept talking.

"Oh. God. I'm so sorry. One sec." He turned his head and cupped his hands around his mouth.

"Guys, she's alive but hurt! Get over here!" Soon the room was flooded with my Pack members. They had gauze, antibiotics, and some rather large band aids wrapped on them. I wondered if they had a first aid kit hidden somewhere.

"Lex... Is it just me or did I see a tear shed or two when I had my temporary out of body experience?" I managed to squeeze out. I mean, I know I could possibly die... again, but if my last words are being bitchy to Lexxi then I'd die a happy woman.

"See.. I was just... fake crying. I mean, I didn't want anyone to think I wanted you dead so I could take your place or anything so I had to keep up the act and yeah, so, why are you all staring at me like that?" Lexxi babbled as if her life depended on it.

"Look, Lex. None of us really like you. Not even your brother. And we just want you to know that we... we really don't care." Shawn patted her shoulder in a frank kind of way.

"Shawn, that may have been a little harsh." He whipped around to face me. Did I honestly just stick up for Lexxi? Maybe I'm sicker than I thought.

"I'm Izak..." I rubbed my eyes and looked at all the faces staring back at me.

"Holy shit, you two are twins...?" I screamed so loud, my head started reeling.

"I... have nothing to say to that." Shawn and Izak said together.

"That... you're so... unobservant." Jonathen added.

"Even I can't defend that, Princess." Erin looked at me. Daniah and Harry just shook their heads as Harry laughed a bit.

"Babe. How did you not notice identical twins in our Pack? There's only a few of us."

"Ugh... I feel sick. Someone patch me up and get some drugs in me. NOW!" I chose to ignore their remarks and focus on my current state. They all stopped teasing me and got down to business. After rinsing the blood and dirt out of my wound with rubbing alcohol, which I wasn't a very happy camper about, they found the source of the stinging.

A single claw embedded in my flesh.

"God, pull it out." Harry said, unable to look at it. Daniah picked up a pair of tweezers that I hadn't seen before and started pulling the claw agonizingly, slowly out of my torso. I arched my back in pain, my vision tinted black, and sweat beaded on my face and neck.

"God, just... TAKE IT OUT, NOW!!" I screamed loud, not meaning to put so much authority behind it. Daniah ripped the claw out as fast as she could. I opened my mouth to scream but I was in so much pain that no sound came out. My pulse echoed through my body, especially my recently claw-evicted body parts. My head pounded chronically. Whoever said that pain numbs after the cause is removed was an idiot.

"Are you okay?" Jonathen asked shakily as everyone else stared. I could tell he was uneasy so I didn't respond. That way, I could keep my scream locked away. I gritted my teeth from the effort of holding back my shriek.

"I don't think she's okay..." Erin said. I noticed his face was changing to a greenish hue. Just as I was about to attempt to speak, Jonathen fainted, his limp, disgusted body hitting the floor with a thud. As soon as I open my mouth, the scream I kept pinned up escaped.

"Babe. I'm sorry, we'll find out what's wrong with you." Harry placed his hand on my stomach and I felt an electric charge. It was the best feeling I'd felt all day. Recognition crossed his face.

"Take off the blanket." I can't even be bothered with the fact the everyone is going to see my girls because I'm enjoying the dimming of the pain too much.

"But...I don't even look at my own boobs..." Daniah started.

"Okay. Here goes." Harry takes a smaller blanket and places it over my chest as he removed the other blanket, folding it down at my waist, leaving the wounded area exposed.

"What do we do now?" Izak asks.

"Erin, Izak, Shawn, place your hands on Dylan's stomach." One by one, as each hand touched my skin, the pain dimmed a bit more.

"Daniah, Lex, get Jonny boy, conscious over there." After spending a few minutes trying to get him up, they got Jonathen awake and he, Lexxi, and Daniah had placed their hands on my stomach. Pain completely faded and I was in heaven.

"What the..." Shawn started. They all stared at my battle reminder, but I don't find out why. As they soothed the pain, my eyes drifted closed and I gave in to sleep.
