Just a Fool
Chapter 1: The American Girl In London
If you would have told me a year ago I'd be living in London studying at The Royal Dance Academy I would have laughed at you. Hysterically.
But, here I am, Brittyn Kimberlee Szymanski living in London attending RDA. Absolutely wild. Honestly I wake up every morning expecting to be back home in Boston at the parents house but I don't. I wake up in my room in the flat I share with my best friend Eleanor Calder. She goes to RDA with me and she's become like a sister to me.
I've been here 3 months. It's been the best 3 months of my 19 (almost 20) years. Eleanor and I are inseparable really. We even both got jobs as waitresses at a sports bar together and we never fight about anything even though we are totally opposite. Eleanor is a good girl, the teachers pet type. The most polite person you'll ever meet. Me on the other hand, I am what you would call a "loose cannon" a bit of a sarcastic smartass and loud. Obnoxious. But people love me. Im a people person. A bit of a flirt. Eleanor is quite, shy, I embarrass her a lot. But I dont care. That's just me. The American girl in London.
Friday nights are my favorite. Eleanor and I get dressed up and hit the town after our shifts at the bar. We hit up the popular hot spot Funky Buddah. After going there every Friday for a month we became regulars. The bartenders and security guards know us on a first name basis but they just call us The RDA Girls. We are friends with the DJ and some nights I just stand at the DJ booth requesting songs. The bartenders never carded me. The first night we went there I asked for a shot of Patron and the bartender gave it to me. And I've been able to get drinks there ever since. Eleanor even drinks occasionally. Then I realized I was old enough to drink in London but I still feel like such a badass drinking at 19. Up at the side bar is where I ended up meeting him finally.
We had been going there every Friday night for a month when I met him.
There was a guy there, every friday. He'd stare at me, watch my every move. He always had a bunch of people around him. For a month he'd just stare at me and I would brush it off as him just being a creep. But he wasn't a creep at all.
He was Liam Payne. The Liam Payne of the popular band One Direction. The minute my eyes looked into his that was it. I was smitten.
