****Lia’s POV

The putrid smell of old rusted metal filled my nostrils causing me to fidget. As my surroundings attacked my senses, I squirmed to only find that every limb was linked together with a tight rope. The more I pulled, the more the rough rope rubbed against my skin.

My eyes blinking away the blurriness, I found myself in the trunk of an empty truck, my hands tied, and my feet almost undone. Rubbing my feet together caused friction that untied the remainder of the rope. I frantically moved diagonally and angled my feet at the window.

Kicking my heel into the back glass, it slightly budged, but my fear of Hayes killing me caused me to kick violently at the glass causing it to shatter. Immediately standing up, I jump out the window scraping my sides, having bits and pieces of shattered glass lodged into my skin. Hitting the cold hard pavement much faster than I had imagined, I stumbled to get up on only two feet, a pair of hands roughly tied together didn’t help either.

Fear running through my veins, I try picking myself up, as I felt the blood trickle down my sides, and alongside my face. The sounds of the brakes behind me caused my insides to rumble as I found myself onto my feet. Running off the highway and into the forest.

Run Lia…come on….This is a make it or break it situation.

“LIA…I KNOW YOU’RE OUT THERE.. I SUGGEST YOU FOR ONCE COME WITH ME. OR WELL I THINK YOU KNOW THE ENDING TO THAT LOVELY ENDING. NOW…I’LL COUNT TO TEN.” He shouted, loading his rifle. Shivers running down my spine, I found for once, myself being submissive and stepping forward.

“Please don’t hurt me..” I whispered. But my wishes are never his command, and I found myself falling to the ground, helplessly. Hoping that someone might end up finding me. Just someone.
