Chapter 13
Essence's POV:
"What is it," he whispered.
I looked up at him. I couldn't focus because he'd just injected me with yet another sedative, to keep me from escaping. Not that I'd be able to anyways. He'd locked me in the same basement for almost six years and I was still here.
"Noth...nothing..." I breathed, the world spinning around me. He sat beside me on the bed.
"That's right," he whispered, leaning in to kiss me.
I tried to back away. But what was the use. It was the same everyday. Locked in a soundproof basement all day and at night, he'd come down here and knock me out. And I knew what happened after I passed out.
His lips met mine and he kissed me hungrily. The sedative made it impossible for me to move, and the world felt like it was swaying back and fourth. I was just barely awake as I felt him tug at my shirt, pulling it off me as I lay helplessly beside him.
Niall's POV:
"Mum!" I said joyfully as she pulled open the door, smiling broadly.
Zayn and Perrie followed me in, lugging their suitcases behind them.
"This is a wonderful surprise!" Mum said, looking pleasantly flustered. "But Niall, I didn't buy enough food, I didn't even... I thought you were staying in England until you left for your tour!"
"Been feeling homesick," I said, smiling as his older brother came over, embracing him.
"Niall," Greg said, and I beamed back at him. I hadn't realized how much I'd missed my family until now.
Even my dad was there, which was surprising. He gave me a firm hug and smiled down at me.
Zayn and Perrie hovered awkwardly in the background.
"Well, do come in, sit down, sit down," my mother gushed, leading me, Zayn and Perrie back into the living room. It looked so familiar.
"i'll make you all a cup of tea," she said, bustling out of the living room.
"Expect your tired, aren't you?" Greg said. "You can go upstairs and lie down in your room, and show Zayn and Perrie the guest room, if you want. I can tell mom you'll have tea with us tomorrow."
"No, it's fine," I said smiling. "I'm happy to be here. I miss Mum's tea."
"That's good because I think it's all you'll be drinking for a while," Greg said, and we all laughed.
I sighed.
"It's good to be home."
"What is it," he whispered.
