Chapter 5
Megan's POV:
I felt my eyes tear up at the picture on Zayns phone. My boyfriend kissing Lindsey Hudson!?! I hated him. I wiped my eyes with the back of my hand.
"I didnt mean to upset you." Said Zayn, looking worriedly at me. "Im fine." I said, wiping my eyes. I couldn't stop the tears. "I have to go." I said starting to get up.
He gently pushed me back down. "Please let me help you." He said. Suddenly I got furious. I saw what he was trying to do. He was trying to get me to fall for him!
"NO!" I yelled. He jumped back. I pulled out my phone and dialed the first number I thought of. Moms. "Hi Mom. I kind of fell....Im in the park and I can't walk." I said, wiping tears from my eyes.
Zayns POV:
I never expected her to cry....she had always been so tough. She was calling her mom to help her? She would rather have her mom come all the way here?
Then I remembered, I was pretty good at mimicking Megan's voice. I pulled the phone from her, cleared my throat, and said,"oh here comes one of my friends! Nevermind!"
I heard her mom say,"ok. I can't make it to the hostpital so make sure your friend stays with you! Im in a really important meeting."
"Will do!" I called into the phone. "HEY!" Yelled Megan. I hung up the phone and slid it into my pocket. "Your mom is not leaving her important meeting just because you hate me.
"Get away from me!" She yelled. "We'll your mom can't make it, Im all you got." I said frustrated. She sighed. I took that as an ok.
"Now hold on tight." I said, bending over and sliding my arm under her legs. She wouldn't make eye contact with me as I lifted her from the bench.
I slowly started through the park, trying not to shake her up to much. My truck was parked close by. I opened the door, and set her in the passenger seat.
I hopped into the driver seat, and shot her another glance. She was curled up in the seat staring out the window. I sighed. If only I hadn't messed her up so bad.
