“What`s up?”, I asked nervous.

“Good to know that you are so involved in school activities”, she commented. My lack of understanding grew.

“Anne called 30 minutes ago and told us that you were over at their house”, she said dangerously calm. Oho.

“I can explain...”, I started.

“What can you explain? That you wanted to spend the night with your boyfriend? Good, Clary we thought you were mature enough to act like a grown-up!”, she got louder.

“I am! Mum, I just felt horrible and Harry thought...”, I yelled.

“Harry thought what? If he would be a good and caring boyfriend he would have brought you home and made sure you get enough sleep to get better again!” That was not fair.

“I`m not sick, Mum! I just felt alone and kind of lost, so he wanted to spend me company!” She took a deep breath.

“Like having sex with you? Great company, Clary.” She treated me like a little kid.

“Well at least he`s with me, while having it! Something you can`t always tell about yourself!”, I shouted angry. Her mouth hung open.

Oh, she thought we actually weren`t.

“Clary, you should be careful and think about the consequences. Sex is such a big thing...”, she got herself back together.

“Oh c`mon Mum! Don`t act like the innocent one now! Maddy is sneaking out every weekend and party with her friends! And you two are working or having a good time with your colleagues! You just can`t stand the thought of your perfect, boring daughter finally having a good time and not being home all alone! I love him and nothing speaks against it!”

“That`s enough young lady!”, my stepfather suddenly interrupted us. “You can go upstairs and think about what you were just saying! You`re still underage and you can`t do whatever you want!” I stared at both of them.

“You have no idea how I`m feeling!”, I whispered and with that I ran up the stairs to my room. I shutted the door behind me and started to cry.

Why did they always had to make me feel like nothing? They wanted me to take responsibility for my life and know that I did, they wanted me to stop taking it.

I walked over to my bathroom and stared at my reflection in the mirror. It told me that I wasn`t a kid anymore, but also not a grown up yet.

This sucks, I thought and tried to suppress the sobs, which were coming up my throat. It hurts, them hurting me, was making me sick. I grabbed my phone out of my bag and dialled his number.

“It only has been 10 minutes and you already want to hear my voice?”, he asked cheeky.

“Oh Harry”, I pressed out as soon as I heard his familiar voice.

The line was dead for some seconds before I heard him speaking again: “What happened?” I couldn`t say a thing, so I just continued sobbing into my speakers.

“My Mum knows...and she yelled at me...I shouted back...and know she knows about the whole sex thing...it was horrible”, I managed to say between breaths.

“How does she knew?”, Harry asked me.

“Anne...” I heard him groan deeply and then again silence.

“I`ll come and pick you up.” I shook my head, but then I realized he couldn`t see it.

“That will only make everything worse”, I whispered.

“I just...”, I took another deep breath, “...wanted to hear your voice.”

“I love you”, he told me.

“That`s good”, I said and let out a faint little laugh.

“Just calm down and take a hot shower, promise me?”, he asked me.

“Okay”, I replied quietly.

“I`ll see you tomorrow, love. Keep strong.”

“Thanks...”, I whispered again and he hung up. I did what he told me and I had his words in my ear. I love you. That was all that mattered to me.
