ZOE’S P.O.V.

I fell asleep as soon as we got on the ship. God I was missing a lot of sleep. Everyone’s all talking with their best friends but me and Emily just slept.

I woke up to the sound of a guy’s voice. To be honest, ever since I came to Directioner Land, hearing a guy’s voice was very rare.

“Alright everybody listen up!” I opened my eyes sleepily and found myself infront of a handsome face. “Nice to meet you all, my name is John and I will be your instructor for the day.”

I heard some murmurs all around. I looked at Emily skeptically. Yes we’re very uncomfortable having a MALE as our instructor.

“Alright guys… or girls… I know this might seem awkward but I am a Directioner too so… just bear with the fact that I’m a guy.” He said. “I want you guys to insert this chip into your arm and…”

My hearing blocked him out for the rest of the parts. Seriously, I don’t really care.
As the ship stopped we got off and unloaded our luggage. I put the chip in my arm and walked through the glass door. It’s pretty sick since the glass practically melted like water when I walked in.

“Whoa…” I said.

The arena was huge. With waxed floors that are probably made of like solid concrete or something. Inside was huge weights, bows and arrows, knives, axes, swords, spears, any type of weapon you can think of aside from guns.

I looked the other way and saw nets hanged vertically, probably for climbing. There’s some wood, possibly for carving tools or something and… Paint?

“Why would there be paint?” I asked John.

“A pair of great hands can turn it into a great disguise.” He smiled.

What did he mean?

Emily and I didn’t say anything to each other. After all we don’t want to be best friends when we have to kill each other.
