I could hear her growl in pain behind me. I turned around right in time to see a giant axe racing towards my face.

I woke up sitting straight up in my bed.

JAY’S P.O.V.

I admit, the dream freaked me out more than just a little bit. I’m not sure if I can do this anymore.

I looked out the window at our setting. All I can see is snow. Small snowflakes fell from the sky.

A cold shiver ran through my body. This is exactly like my dream.

We got out of the plane and stood on our stations. Everyone is shivering from the cold. I can’t believe they’re making us do this. I looked towards the center. There’s the life packs. And attached to the life packs are-

Sweaters.

Everyone got into their positions, their eyes burning with passion. I think everybody understood. Getting a life pack is the only way you’ll be able to survive.

“Welcome to the 2nd annual Directioner Games!” A voice came from a speaker. “It will start in 10, 9…”

I looked around nervously. People will be fighting to death for one of these. The girl beside me pulled out a pocket knife and stared right back at me.

Shit.

“3, 2, 1, GO!”

Everyone sprinted towards the life packs. I stood here, frozen. The girl beside me starts to walk towards me, raising her knife.

She’s here to kill me, I thought. I’m panicking like hell. If I don’t get out of here fast, I’ll be dead. I grabbed the nearest life pack and dash towards the trees.

I turned around to see the girl’s pocket knife fly right at me.

I felt my arm burn as I screamed.
