You Make it Real {A Harry Styles Fan Fiction}

Chapter 18

PIPER'S P.O.V.

Trying to get into Disney with Harry was next to impossible. We had to push our way through crowds of people, Harry stopping to take a few pictures and sign a few things. It didn't even feel like there was a security guard there. I tried to stay as close to him as possible but it was difficult with the sea of people pushing and pulling like a current. They allowed us our own monorail car which was a relief. Harry wrapped his arm around me as we sat down and I texted Riley to see where they were. I laid my head on Harry's broad shoulder and enjoyed the last few minutes of silence that we would have all day. I don't know why I thought Disney with One Direction would be an easy feat. They weren't even able to stay in my dorm in peace; Disney was crawling with fans, many of whom were probably at their concert the night before. The bodyguard stood awkwardly on the other side of the monorail car and stared at his phone. I finally got a response from Riley as were about to stop.

*FROM: Ri <3

We're waiting for you guys just inside the park, in the same building as the character meets but to the right. CRAZY getting in here.*

At least it seemed like they had a hidden place to regroup. When the monorail halted, the bodyguard waited by the doors before they opened, revealing screaming girls who had obviously seem us board.

"PLEASE, back up and make room."

The guard repeated himself many more times and Harry pulled me through the crowd, holding my waist so that he wouldn't lose me. As we left the ramp, it calmed down a little. Parents seemed to be forcing their daughters back with their families and we reached a break where there weren't really any people. We still hurried to the entrance and were taken to the side by the guard, who was evidently familiar with the process. My bag was checked and Harry showed them the ticket he had printed before we left the dorm and they scanned my pass. We entered through a hidden walkway which seemed to be reserved for workers. I was going to see a side of Disney that I had never seen before.

"Hey, you okay?"

He pulled me closer to him, obviously noticing how overwhelmed I was. I started feeling my heart calm down a little, which I was thankful for. I did not want Harry to see me have and anxiety attack; it would be so embarrassing.

"Yeah. I guess I just didn't think about how crazy this was going to be."

He dropped his hand from my waist and grabbed my hand instead, making it a little easier to walk as we approached the building that the group was in from a back door.

"HEY! There you guys are. Took long enough."

Riley pulled me away from Harry and I could tell that she was eager to know what we talked about. I hadn't asked Harry if I could share that information with her but I doubted that he'd want me to, seeing as no one knew and it was such high profile information. I would have to talk to him about it later. I smiled at Riley to reassure her that the talk was not a negative one and she let out a small sigh of relief, letting me return to Harry's arms. I small female employee walked into the room and smiled brightly, preparing to answer our questions. She was wearing a business-type outfit, dress pants and shirt, so she obviously worked inside, not in the heat.
"So, how are we going to get anywhere?" Harry wasted no time.

"You guys will be escorted to each ride by your guards and officers that we will provide. You will be placed on the rides immediately on arrival. Dinner will be served privately in Cinderella's castle at whichever time you decide. We want to make your visit as enjoyable as possible so please, let our staff know if there is anything we can do for you. Is there anything I can help you with right now?"

All of the boys shook their heads and she waited another few seconds before saying her farewell.

"Well, I hope you have a magical day at Disney World!"

The middle-aged woman curtsied and walked away. I turned to Harry and started squealing, jumping up and down, and grabbing his arm.

"CINDERELLA'S CASTLE?! Do you know how long I've wanted to eat there?!"

"Is it special?"

"YES! You have to be invited because it's ALWAYS over-booked."

"I'm glad you're excited." He seemed amused by my reaction but I was genuinely thrilled.

I grabbed his hand once more, still smiling wildly. Everyone gathered in a small circle so that we could make a plan.

"I don't want to sound controlling, but... Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland and then Tomorrowland. Does that sound okay? I doubt we'll make it out of Magic Kingdom."

Riley seemed about as excited as me and even let go of Liam's hand to exaggerate her gestures. The boys looked dumbfounded.

"Yeah, how about we just follow you guys. Sound like a plan?"

Niall announced his idea and all of the guys nodded in enthusiastic agreement. They had no idea what Riley just said. I couldn't remember the last time that we got to just ride whatever we wanted with no regard for wait times but I was definitely most excited about dinner. Dinner would be the highlight.

HARRY'S P.O.V.

When we finally got to dinner, I was so relieved. The girls had ran us around to every possible attraction. We decided to eat at 7:30 so that we could watch the fireworks from the castle when we were done. I wished Andrea had been there. She would have been about as ecstatic as Piper had been the whole day. I thought it was adorable how much fun she was having and that made my experience more enjoyable as well. We bought multiple ride pictures and planned on getting some of the group ones we took at the front of the park. Surely, we'd be able to just Google the trip at a later time and get as many candid pictures as we could possibly want. Even being escorted around, many fans stopped us and said hello. We didn't mind but it made it difficult to spend time with Piper. Dinner was going to be my only chance to be with her before we left. On entering the castle, we took an elevator to the top, which opened on a private dining room. The details were spectacular and Piper's mouth dropped open as soon as she saw it. I squeezed her hand and let a huge grin take over my face when I saw her do the same.

"Harry, this is... incredible."

"It actually is, I'm quite impressed."

Louis and Niall walked straight to the window and admired the view of the entire park. Zayn took a seat at the large table, obviously ready to eat. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and started scrolling through it. Liam and Riley took seats next to each other on one side of Zayn and I pulled out the chair next to Riley for Piper to sit in. The guards sat in a small room that was connected to the dining area where they would be served as well. Louis and Niall finally joined us, sitting on the other side of Zayn leaving an empty seat between Niall and I. When the waiter came to take our order, Niall called ordering first. Piper and Louis ordered drinks for themselves and I hated that I couldn't legally do that in America. My girlfriend (I guess that's what she was) could but I couldn't; I couldn't even technically buy HER a drink here. Only in England. I wanted her to take her to England once the tour was over, but that was a long ways away and who knows what could happen in that much time. For some reason, I had a feeling that we'd be even closer. This just didn't feel like a fling. It felt paramount. It was. I honestly couldn't wait to tell my mom about her. However, she hadn't seemed so excited about telling hers about me. I remembered her text after her uncle saw the article of us, 'Well, someone in my family already knows about us. You should probably go into hiding now'. Was it me or her family that she was embarrassed of? My scrambled thoughts were interrupted by Piper patting me on my thigh.

"Babe, he's waiting for you to order."

"Oh, sorry. Erm... I'll have the Chicken Parmesan. Thanks."

Piper gave me a concerned look. I wonder how long I was sitting there, deep in thought.

"You okay, Haz?" Louis was giving me the same look.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Just tired is all."

I readjusted myself and draped an arm over the back of Piper's chair, grinning at her so she knew I wasn't lying and she left her hand on my thigh. I felt so comfortable with her already. Usually relationships are awkward and irritating at first but I felt at ease the second she touched me. She didn't seem stiff or uptight either. We seemed to fit together; we just made sense. I felt like an idiot for thinking so much into a new relationship but I couldn't help it. I also couldn't help but to start feeling depressed over leaving. We only had a few more hours together and then it would be at least a month before I could hold her again.

PIPER'S P.O.V.

Harry was acting weird. He kept staring off into space and not reacting at any of the funny things Niall and Zayn were saying. I felt like he was distancing himself. I was sitting close to him, his arm around me, my hand on his leg, but he seemed so detached and far away. I finally decided to say something.

"Harry, why don't we go to the balcony once dinner's done? I wanna spend some time with you."

He smiled and kissed my lips softly before replying.

"I'd love that."

Maybe he was just distracted by Andrea. Karen had sent him a picture of her and her ice cream and apparently she was fine but surely he was upset that he hadn't been there. I squeezed his thigh a little and took a gulp of my martini that the waiter had set down. Finally, our dinner arrived.

___________________________________________

After dinner, Harry and I walked out toward the balcony while everyone else gathered by the window nearest the table. I carried my second martini with me but set it down on a table inside before walking out the door. The fireworks had not started yet but there was faint music playing, at least it was faint from where we were. Harry put both of his hands around me and lifted my hands around his neck before placing his around my hips and beginning to sway.

"What are you doing?"

"Dancing! I know I'm terrible, just go along with it."

"I think this is the cheesiest thing ever... but I love it."

I stood on my toes so that I could reach him and kissed him deeply, only pulling away to steady myself on flat feet.

"Oh, you have no idea how cheesy I can get... but, I think you're starting to find out."

He winked at me and pulled me into his chest. I never wanted to let go. Partially, because I would miss him, but partially because I was afraid.

"Harry, don't forget about me."

He pulled his head away from me and stopped right in his place, looking at me like I had four heads.

"You're not serious, right?"

"Well, not completely. But, I don't know... There are going to be millions of girls throwing themselves at you and then there's little old me, stuck at home being a boring, responsible student. You're going to want someone more fun and exci-"

He had held either side of my face, bringing his soft lips to mine, viciously and emotionally, making my body feel like it was melting but he steadied me by moving his arms back around my waist. After he felt that he had gotten his point across, he pulled away slightly, moving his lips to my ear to whisper.

"I could NEVER forget you, Piper. I only want you."

I felt tears welling in my eyes.

"Are you sure you mean that?"

He closed his eyes tightly and kissed my forehead this time.

"I haven't meant anything more in my entire life. It's you I have to worry about. You're going to get bored when I'm gone and there are plenty of guys at your school. How do I know you're not going to find a steady boyfriend that'll come over everyday and take you on dates every Friday."

I pretended to let out an exaggerated yawn.

"Now, that just sounds boring as hell. I like a challenge."

"Oh, well you've found one."

He pulled me to his chest again and I found a comfortable spot to rest my head. We stood there for a long time, just holding each other, me crying and him comforting me. When the fireworks began, I walked to the balcony edge, looking up and resting my hands on the railing. Harry stood behind me, pulling my back against his chest and we watched the entire show from the best seat in the house.

"You really should bring Andrea here."

"Yeah, we will. Eventually."

I felt him kiss my hair, leaving his face there for a while longer. I had never felt more safe or more content than I had in that moment.

That beautiful moment was interrupted by a ringing coming from my back pocket. Harry pulled it out for me and handed it to me, without even looking at it. It was my mom. I ignored the call and checked the time before putting it back. 10 missed calls? I unlocked it and realized they were all from my mom.

"Harry, I'm so sorry but I should call my mom, she's been trying over and over and that's just not like her."

"Sure, lets go inside so you can hear."

I dialed my mom's number and walked through the door that Harry held open for me. The phone only rang once.

"PIPER?"

"Yeah, mom. What's going on? Is dad okay?"

"Your father? Yeah, he's fine. Are you at Disney?"

How did she know that?

"Yeah, why?"

"Are you there with some rock star? My sister just called me and your cousin saw you on that Tumbling sight, kissing some tattooed boy at Disney World! She said it was a big deal because he was in some band! Who is he? Why didn't you tell me you were dating someone?"

She was beginning to yell frantically.

"MOM! Calm down!" I sighed. I guess she was going to find out sooner or later. But, really?

There were already pictures on Tumblr?

"His name is Harry Styles. He's in a boy-band called One Direction and yeah, I guess we're dating. And it's called Tumblr- tell Sarah I'm going to kill her."

I looked at him, hoping he wouldn't react badly to me saying that. Instead, he smiled.

"Well, you better believe we're going to meet him. We can't have you walking around with some man that everyone seems to know about leaving us to look like stupid, clueless parents."

"Mom, he's on tour. He won't be back here for a while. Besides, I'm 21 and it's a little too soon to introduce him to you, we only just started seeing each other."

I saw Harry's face drop. Did I say something wrong? I was just trying to save him from meeting my parents.

"Well, can I at least talk to him?"

"Why do you want to talk to hi-"

Before I could finish, Harry had grabbed the phone out of my hand.

"Hi, Mrs. Nielsen. This is Harry, pleasure to talk to you."

He stuck his tongue out at me and walked away with my phone... Talking to my mother. I just stood there in shock. I was so afraid of what she was going to say to him.

"Please, do not embarrass me, mother," I huffed under my breath and stayed in the spot he had left me, chugging the last of the martini sitting next to me.
