I wake up in a hospital bed, looking up at Cate laying asleep on hers. I turn my head to see Louis holding my hand. "Hey, how are you feeling?" he asks in a caring voice. I nod my head lightly. I slip my hand from him and feel my side, I slide the gown to see a stitched up scar on my side. "Shit.." i mumble.
"Do i need to get you a nurse?" Louis asks standing up, i yank him back down so he is sitting on the chair again.
"Stop worrying. I'm fine. When do we get out anyway?" i ask and he looks at his watch.
"Um...well, the nurses said today. You had your surgery and-"
"What about Cate? Is she okay? What happened?" i ask, i was worried as i always am about her. I shouldn't be, she is 21...but i have and always will. We are both protective over each other.
"She was okay, she only had a few burns and cuts. She didn't need surgery. You can leave when she is up, if you want.." he says and i look over at her.

"Louis, wha-"
"Hey! She's awake!!" Niall says running in the room.
They all hugged me and talked for a bit.
"Louis told us what happened. He rushed out of our meeting when you text him.." Liam says.
I look at Louis who was madly blushing. Aww. I look into his beautiful eyes and me smiles.
"I wanted to know if you were o-"
He is interrupted by Cate groaning and opening her eyes.

"Cate!" i say and her head shoots up.
"NO! Please no! I-" She stops, noticing where she is, "I..I just had a bad dream.." she says and the boys rush over to her.

"When can we go home?" she asks.
"You can come to Louis and I's flat?" Harry says sitting on the corner of her bed.
"Oh, thanks...I'm Cate by the way.." She says even though i have talked about her.

The nurse walks in.
"I see you are up, would you like to go now?" She asks and i look at the boys.
"Yeah.." i say and we both dress back in our clothes from before.

"THIS is your house!??!" Cate and i say as we all pull up.
"yeah..you two can stay in the guest room." Louis says and i step in and go upstairs to our new room.

"Krista...I'm scared." Cate says. I turn to her, she has never said that before.
"Of what? That horrible man is gone! We are safe now..." i say hugging her.
"No..It's it's about someone else..."
I look at her for a further explanation.
"I've-well..." she sighs and fakes a smile, "never mind."

Cate's pov
"I've-well..." i sigh deeply, wanting to tell her about Mike and show her the bruises and cuts he has given me, but i can't worry her more, you can tell even she is still of defense trying to get used to start trusting again.

I fake a smile and say, "Never mind."

I can deal with Mike later, right now i have to focus on Krista.

I need to step up and start being a better sister, i can't let her take the fall for everything like i did with our father.
