Chapter 9
*Niall’s POV*
I sat awkwardly down on the couch; waiting for Anna and her mom to come down the stairs. I was quite excited to take Anna as a date, not because I fancied her but because she was nice and fun to hang around with. The evening had to be good, just because I was doing something with Anna.
Because I was deep in thought, I didn’t her Anna coming down the stairs and that’s why I nearly jumped when she said “Niall.”
I turned around to look at her. She was beautiful, I couldn’t help but stare.
“Niall? You know staring is kind of impolite, right?” Anna said and laughed at my embarrassed face.
“Come on, let’s go” I mumbled.
“Have fun, kids” Anna’s mom said and smiled at us.
*Cat’s POV*
I waited for Anna and Niall at my front porch. They decided to meet me there, because they said it wasn’t a “date” date anyway.
I saw them from afar, laughing and giggling. They looked really cute together. I knew Anna didn’t like Niall that way, but still I could imagine those two together in the future.
When they came to my house they hugged me and then we went to our friend’s house. Parties weren’t a common thing in our area, so everyone was excited. The house was full of buzzing teenagers, looking forward to drinking too much. I didn’t drink and Anna didn’t either, we had enough fun without alcohol, but some guys got really, really drunk. We always left before something happened, so our parents were okay with us going out.
I heard Niall and Anna talking about casting shows.
“You said you’d go if I go!” I heard Niall say.
“Yeah, but I didn’t expect you to actually go” Anna answered.
“What are you guys talking about?” I asked.
“Anna agreed to audition for a casting show if I do and I decided to go, but now she says she won’t do it” Niall whined.
“Anna, you can’t get out of that promise. And really, what should happen? You can sing; they’re not going to embarrass you in front of everyone” I said. I knew she would do it, because she always kept her promises in the end but I wanted to make Niall feel better.
“Exactly” Niall said.
“Okay, okay. But only for you” she said and poked Niall. He started laughing and then they talked about something different.
