*Anna’s POV*
I don’t remember calming down. I just remember screaming all the hurt and all the sadness out of my body until I fell asleep. It helped for the moment but as soon as I woke up the next morning the feelings were back, even stronger, unbearable. It was hell. I couldn’t move, I couldn’t think properly. But Cat made me stand up and dress. She even tried to get me to eat but she failed miserably. She took me by my hand and led me to the car. She opened the door and helped me in. Then she got into the driver’s seat and took off.
We stopped at a café where Cat and I used to go when we had something to celebrate. I looked at her to find out why we were here, but she didn’t say anything. She got out, walked around the car and opened my door, when she saw I wasn’t moving.
“Come on honey, we’re going to eat something in there” she said and held out her hand. I took it and walked beside into the café. We sat down and when the waitress came, Cat told her, we’d wait for someone else before ordering. I was confused, but I didn’t really care. I wanted to go back into my bed, the only place where I felt safe and also I could curl up into a ball, which stops the pain a bit.
Cat seemed to be nervous; she was looking at her phone every five seconds. I didn’t ask. Suddenly it buzzed and as soon as she saw the message on the screen she tensed up. She looked through the glass window that was behind me and I think she saw something because she turned to me and looked me in the eye, very serious.
“Niall’s coming” she said.
No. He couldn’t. He shouldn’t. If he was coming home now, all of my sacrifices would have been unnecessary and dumb. I let out a cry of anger.
That’s when I heard the door of the café open and Cat seemed to relax. I felt a hand on my shoulder and when I turned I saw Louis standing behind me. I wondered what he was doing here when he took a step to left only to reveal an awful looking Niall behind him. He didn’t care to dress properly, he was wearing sweatpants and a hoodie, his hair was all over the place and he was shaking. But his eyes. His eyes were watching me in a mixture of surprise, shock, hope and sadness. His beautiful eyes. You could get lost in them so easily. They were so deep and so blue and sometimes, when he was happy, his eyes seemed to be the sky. Wide and pure, allowing to look far. They seemed to be shining. But right now, they were like the sea. Dark blue, deeper than ever. I couldn’t find much in them because it was hard to look under the surface of the see. His eyes weren’t shallow, but deep, very deep and dark. He didn’t move. I don’t know how long we stared at each other in shock.
He started walking towards me, stretching out his hand to touch me, to see if I was real. His fingers touched my face lightly and he jammed his hand back. He didn’t expect me to be real. He looked me in the eyes and reached forward again, this time touching my hand. When he could feel me, again, he took into his and pulled me up on my feet. As soon as I stood his warms wrapped tightly around me waist and he hugged me so tight that I couldn’t breathe. But I didn’t care. Niall was back. He was here, with me. And I was the happy.
*Niall’s POV*
I couldn’t believe she was real. She didn’t turn around and leave the café. She stayed letting me hug her. No, she even hugged me back. She looked genuinely happy to see me. And I was too. I missed her so much, I can’t even put it in words. The time we were apart without talking to each other I realized I saw more in her than just a friend. I missed her on a level that was far beyond friendship. It wasn’t just love either. I felt that she was meant for me. I knew then, she was my soul mate.
Standing in this café, hugging her was the first time I was happy again since over three months.
