Lily's POV:

"LILY GET TO BED I'M SERIOUS!" Screamed Eleanor. I just giggled, running away from Eleanor's grabbing hands. It was two o'clock in the morning, a week had passed from when Eleanor took me to Nandos and down by the river. We had just arrived home from the Cayman Islands (I had convinced Eleanor that it was good for us, but mostly I just didn't want to face Luke again), our flight had been delayed several hours and I had school tomorrow.

"You can't get away with this!" Yelled Eleanor.

"Yes, I can, I will never go to bed! And I can't go to bed unless you catch me!" I said teasingly, I could run way faster that Eleanor.

"I know you want to skip school tomorrow, but that's not going to happen, you have to go to school!"

"But I don't wanna!" I whined.

"Even if you don't go to school tomorrow, you'll still have to go to school on Thursday and Friday!"

"I thought you wanted me to stay home, so I can entertain you!"

"Well, you need to get a proper education and I can always hang out with my friends!"

"I thought you were going to be a fun mom!"

"You did Not just pull out the fun mom card! I ooze fun mom! Who let you skip school for an entire week so we could go to the Cayman Islands? Who said we could fly in first class? Who let you go parasailing? Everyday! Who let you pick where we were going to eat? That's right, ME! DON'T TELL ME I'M NOT A FUCKING FUN MOM!!" Eleanor got so pissed that her cheeks got red, I just laughed, Classic Eleanor.

"Fine, I'll go to bed."

"Thank you."

"Love you."

"Love you too," Eleanor kissed my forehead and pulled the covers over my body. As soon as she turned off the lights, I fell asleep, exhausted.


"Beep. Beep. Beep." My alarm clock went off, I groaned, three hours of sleep is not enough.

I managed to to get out of bed and make it to the shower. The warm water woke me up a bit and I slowly got dressed in my school uniform. I felt like a zombie, I was sooooo tired plus I moved like one too.

I managed to eat a bagel and write a note to Eleanor (who was sleeping, lucky duck) without falling asleep. But apparently my "super speediness" wasn't fast enough to have enough time to ride bike to school. I groaned and shuffled out to the bus stop. Jacob was there, oh goody.

I awkwardly stood five meters away from him, telling myself to stop feeling so guilty. He did his best to ignore me, but I could tell his eyes glanced over at me, every once in a while. I sighed and checked my iPhone, 8:10, the bus was supposed to be here.

Two, painfully long minutes crawled by and the bus fortunately came. Unfortunately, there was only one empty spot open, Jacob took it. Now good old Jacob new everyone on this bus, I, however only knew him. Where the fuck am I going to sit?

I took a deep breath and politely asked if I could sit with a girl who looked nice. She said she was saving it for a friend. I asked the next person, the same response, and the next person, ditto. By the seventh person the bus driver started getting impatient and yelled at me to sit with someone. I looked helplessly at everyone, begging them with my eyes to let me sit with anyone.

"You can sit with me." I spun around, to look at the person who had ended my embarrassment... Jacob. My eyes widened with surprise, his eyes were stormed over, as if saying:

"You owe me now."

I made my way to his front seat, right behind the bus driver and sat down carefully. Not too close to Jacob. The whole bus ride, I uncomfortably sat on the ledge of the seat. When the doors finally opened, I practically ran out. But then I remembered, Jacob and I have the same home room and our lockers are near to each other; there is one locker in between ours.

I sighed again and piled my stuff into my locker, taking out my math, language arts, and spanish stuff. Home room was excruciatingly long, I was staring at the clock the entire time, willing it to change to three o'clock, when I can go home. No luck.

When the bell rang, I made my way to geometry and sat in my seat.

"You're back!" I looked up from my doodle of an elephant and saw Luke. Oh yeah. I almost forgot that we have all our classes together.
