Poppys POV

After go karting, I came third. Harry first as per usual. Then Niall, shocker, then me, then Liam, Louis and zayn. Louis we were surprised at but it was probably because I mini crashed into the side of him and he went into the wall, oopsies. I couldn't stop thinking about Clare. When we are done I look around for her. Sure enough she is still there, she half runs half walks over to me and gives me a what I describe as a Horan hug, big and cuddly and she snuggles into my neck. I think she's crying, aww bless. Nothing is said until I am tapped on the back. "hey pops we are about to get something got eat, what would you like, it's on me" by the nickname pops you know it's Louis. "yeah I'm coming" I turn to Clare "you hungry? We have a lot of catching up to do" she smiles showing every tooth. Yep, I've missed her.


Clares POV

ive missed her, more than words can say. And now look. My little school girl is all grown up and friends with the biggest boys band in the world. I remember when she played out with Harry and Louis, before they became stars, and she'd see Niall when he came over from Ireland to see his gran and grandad who lived across the street. They are Number one in turdy seven county's as niall says. I'm so happy to have her back.


Nialls POV

whos that girl, I've never seen her. Looks like another fan dying to meet us. But poppy looks like she knows her, I don't like new people coming into the group. Well we have never had a new person into the group but I know I won't like it. But I'm starving. "lunch on me, what do you want?" Louis chants. "where do I begin" I say and we all laugh. "typical Niall" Liam says quickly then laughs again. I just smile and look at the menu. "let me make this simple" Harry's begins "six burgers and six fries with five cokes and one diet" oh yeah poppy loves diet, Harry would know, they are like relatives almost. "sounds good to me" replies Louis.


Harrys POV

i don't know how the guys will react to Clare coming back. I do remember poppy and Clare being close but it was her who never stayed in contact with poppy. I know it's not my place to decide if poppy wants to be friends again, by the looks of it she does. I just can't help but remember how upset she was when Clare never replied to any of her texts, and I sat up with her all night eating Ben and jerrys phish food Ice cream and trying to make her feel better about being ignored. I can't have that happen again. I won't let it .


poppys POV

ive missed her. But as my stomach gives an echoing grumble I realise I'm starving. "let's get a bite to eat, are you hungry?" I give her no time to answer "corse you are let's go" and with that I'm off and she is walking by my side. My best friend is back and i Couldn't be happier. As we waltz over to the table the four boys look at me wide eyed, expecting to be introduced. Louis is waiting for our food, yey it should be here soon because I'm starved! "guys this is Clare, she is an old friend of mine and I guess we still are friends, very good friends. So please try and be nice". I whisper the last bit, I know how they feel about new people in the group. Nobody has been able to wriggle into our friend group before so good luck to Clare. I'm sure it will all be fine. After four hellos and a shy hi from Clare, Louis comes over with a tray of drinks. Pops your diets at the front, he remembered :), "thanks Lou" I say with a smile. He then plonks the tray down for the others to pick and choose even though they are all the same. Then Louis goes off to get the food followed by Harry who will be going to help with the trays, what a gentleman. As I pull up a chair and indicate for Clare to do the same Clare starts to explain how we are such close friends then she moved away and now she has moved back but has nowhere to live. Zayn whispers something to Liam, Liam nods, and with that Clare has a home as zayn says "as account of you being so close to poppy, we have a spare room". I can tell zayn likes her, a lot. Clare happily accepts and tells us her suitcase with all her clothes in is in the go karting storage, she really did need somewhere to live.


Zayns POV

i like this girl. She is special. Unique. Bubbly. And has nice hair which is a big thing for me. And hopefully living together will give me the opportunity to get close to her. Bit confusing why she was here with all her stuff, was she expecting to see poppy here? Who knows. Who cares, all i know is she is living with me now. Obviously she is trustable for poppy to like her, poppy dosnt get along with most. Me and Clare head off to get her suitcase and pack it into the car. I text Liam saying I'm taking her back to ours to unpack. We live two streets away from poppy so clare should be happy with that, on account that they are such good friends. She seems a bit shy now we are on our own. The car journey is short and easy, down the road, left at the corner shop, keep driving till your past the hospital then left on our street. They are big houses on our street. Niall, poppy and Harry live in flats, but Louis has a house at the end of the street poppy and Harry live on. It's perfect really. I help her unpack and make her new room how she wanted it. Before long Liam is back and is astonished by the room changes. "the beds moved, and the dresser, and the wardrobe, next thing you know you'll be moving the window. You missed the food, it was good, would you like me to make you something to eat?" Clare looks at liam and smiles. What a nice smile. He catches her eye, they are a brilliant blue, I know this because I was looking earlier. But she didn't look at me like she looked at Liam. I think I may have a bit of competition. "yes please, I'm not fussy so anything will do, I haven't eaten since yesterday" she says . "yeah me too but not since yesterday because I had breakfast" I said, hoping it would break up the eye contact. "ok" he replies smiling at Clare and with that he's off. Clare then goes to finish unpacking, I like this girl. I'm going to have to talk to Liam about it.


Liams POV

as I enter the kitchen I can't think Anything but what just happened. I like poppy, why was I swooning for her best friend. Well close friends, Harry is her best friend. And I smiled too. Oh god I hope she dosnt think I like her because if I upset her poppy wont be impressed. And with that thought zayn comes downstairs into the kitchen. After standing around a bit he finally says " I like this girl, and I know you like poppy, so why are you trying to score with her best mate? Poppy will hate you if you break her best mates heart" these words hit me like a ton of bricks, score with her best mate, I wasn't! And I would never do anything that would make her hate me. I love her. But she never sees that. "I....I..i don't know what happend, I didn't want it to but it just did. I do love poppy and I think you would be great with Clare, even though we know nothing about her. How about I go to Poppy's tonight and you guys stay here. I'm sorry I knew you liked her I could see it, I'll try stop myself next time, but I still don't understand what happend" I stutter. Zayn smiles at me, thank god. "alright, it's ok, you know how things are. Sometimes these things just happen. Thanks for the offer. Sounds like a great idea, I can really get tot know her now" and with that he goes back to join her.


Clare POV

zayn has gone to tell Liam something. I hope he didn't notice the connection between us. It wasn't my fault. I want to like zayn, I can tell he likes me, I don't know what happened with Liam but I feel it was meant to be. That's crazy I know. Oh wait I hear footsteps. Who is it I wonder, it zayn. "everything ok up here?" he asks "yeah fine thanks" "are you ok?" he asks "yep just fine" I lie. "good" he smiles at me, he has a nice smile, but Liam's felt more special. "let's go down for something. To eat" he suggests "sure" I say with a smile and follow him down. I must keep my emotions to myself
