When she came in she looked a mess. Her face white, eyes red and puffed up, hair looking like a birds nest, her fingernails were chewed up and her arm had biting marks on them. Under her eyes were red raw from all the rubbing she must have done to get rid of the tears that had fallen. I then noticed the tv was still on so I turned it off. The nurse wheeled her bed in then swapped her over into a double and sat the double next to mine.

"Clare?" I whispered. She didn't so much as flinch. "Clare" I said a little louder. She wouldn't move. "pearl, please fix her something to eat, perfiterols please" they are her favorite. The nurse nodded and left. I tried to talk to my fixed figure friend. "Clare, we can tell them it's not true" I said encouragingly. I saw her head move as she looked at me, staring with eyes of stone, I felt my mouth go dry. I didn't know what to say. Neither did she. Pearl then came in with the pudding, she swung the door open, the coldness of the draft was like a slap in the face. It shocked me out of my gaze/trance and I quickly said thank you as she settled it down on Clare's bed. Clare looked at it then looked at the nurse.

"thank you" she said wearily. Then tucked in. Like she hadn't been fed for weeks.

"may we have some more, lots more" I laughed. The nurse smiled and went off again. "good?" I asked Clare. She nodded.

"thank you. It was awful. I missed you. I didn't even know if you were alive. I haven't been visited by any of the boys in days, it's simply devastating" she said.

"they have been taken away" I replied "to a secret location where the paparazzi can't find them, they have tried to come but they got bombarded" ok so the last bit was a lie, but she didn't have to know that. She looked at me, cream and chocolate around her mouth. I laughed and handed her the mirror, she lauded and wiped her mouth on a baby wipe that was in a packet on the desk beside her bed. She then edged forward so she was right next to my bed, I edged back and hugged her. Then screamed in pain and looked towards the culprit. There was a fresh scar across my back, I didn't know about this or see it. It was Clare who told me it was there. I got up and fell back down, then when I found my feet I waddled over to the full lengh mirror, turned around, and cried. There was a huge scar from shoulder blade to shoulder blade. The nurse then came in and ran over to me, practically throwing the food onto Clare's bed, luckily the food had survived, but I wasn't so lucky. She grabbed me as I fell to my knees.

"What happened? " I asked.

"the other car, some of the windscreen shot off and sliced your back open, that's why your still here at the hospital. That's why you haven't moved your actuall body in weeks. It will take a long time. You are on very strong drugs, which is why you never noticed it there, without feeling it, or seeing it, how was you to know. That's why we were so happy when you woke up, you lost so much blood, it was an emergency operation and it was a success. Your one of the lucky ones." she said. Hugging me as I was nearly on the floor. I felt like somebody was blowing cold air onto my heart, freezing it, so it couldn't move, drying it up so I couldn't move. There was then a bang through the door. Liam and zayn fell in with the photographers flashing through the door. Two security guards also barged in and pushed the door closed. I was shocked. I had my pjs on and so I could see my wound I had taken off my top, I couldn't wear a bra because of my scar. But I didn't know that before, I just thought it was because I was lying down. But now the whole world will see my top half. I cried and Liam ran over and hugged me. Crying on my shoulder as I spun round to cry on his. Why me?
